I booked the visit a couple of weeks in advance, completed all required forms, and provided my insurance information. They also required full payment upfront, explaining it would be adjusted later to account for any copays or insurance coverage. When I arrived for the appointment, the receptionist immediately informed me that Eastern Roots was not in-network with United Healthcare and that I could instead submit an out-of-network claim. That was not an acceptable option, as out-of-network costs are significantly higher. It was clear the practice knew this in advance but failed to notify me until after I had driven over an hour to get there. When I requested a refund--since I was unwilling to proceed with a provider that misrepresented their insurance status--they refused, citing their 24-hour cancellation policy. However, I hadn't canceled the appointment; I arrived in good faith, expecting coverage. Only once I learned the true facts, which the clinic already knew, did I decline to continue. To make matters worse, the owner, Sarah Alemi, did not speak with me directly and instead sent an email referencing the cancellation policy. At this point, I have disputed the charge with my credit card company. I would strongly caution others to verify network participation and transparency before booking with this practice

Dr. Jing, proprietor of East Acupuncture receives a 5-star review from me. Here are several reasons…read morewhy I like her so much more than any acupuncturist I've encountered. 1) She accepts Veterans Affairs Insurance, which is Optum. East Acupuncture uses the proper billing codes to treat a variety of issues, in order to be reimbursed for their services. I asked my Veterans Affairs Primary Care Doctor for a chiropractic referral and have been impressed with acupuncture treatments moreover the snap and crack technique. My other functional health chiropractor who uses the activator method highly recommends acupuncture and the two services have worked very well for my body and mind. 2) The whole human is treated with as much time as necessary. How often doctors are expected to treat patients within a 20-minute time block? East Acupuncture allows a full cycle to run its course on each visit. It is time-consuming but relaxing, especially on the belly side. Dr. Jing understands the human channels within men and women and uses needles to unblock energy, which allows blood flow to places of pain. 3) Eastern Medicine coincides with Western Medicine: meaning there is a time and place for both methods. PubMed validates acupuncture. Like Western Medicine, which requires patients to take a pharmaceutical product on a daily basis to be effective, Eastern Medicine expects patients to be treated more quickly if acupuncture, an alternative to pharmaceutics, is routinely provided. Acupuncture requires regular visits to be effective, and another reason why insurance has been so helpful for my healing journey. 4) Dr. Jing has an AMAZING bedside manner, as do her office staff. They are channels for kindness and love to flow, they connect with their patients, which goes a long way with me! 5) Treatment rooms and washroom are set up professionally, clean, and feel calm. I highly recommend this business. Thank you East Acupunture!

From the start, the massage therapist seemed reluctant to work with me, and I had trouble understanding what he was saying. Eventually, he motioned for me to sit, and I followed his lead. During the foot massage, he applied a large amount of Vaseline and rubbed my feet in a way that felt rushed and oddly aggressive, without explanation. When he finished, I thanked him but chose to decline the back massage and proceeded to pay. I left a tip of less than 20%, and in response, he raised his voice at me in his own language. I simply thanked him again and left quietly. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I don't plan to return.

The massage was relaxing the therapist knew what she was doing to put my sore shoulder back at ease. The lady had strong hands and leg massage was outstanding. I don't remember the glutes massage, but I am sure it was good as well. I did notices the women therapist work in the office facility while the men work outside the open work area of the mall. I will be sure to come back here for another massage later on this year.

I'm reviewing their massage therapy service, specifically for June Liu, who is amazing…read more What I liked: +June was very patient and clear about massage - asking if I want some water (they have sparkling water too) or to use the restroom prior to the massage +massage was for the full duration +massage was full body (from head to toe) and target areas were addressed +June made sure to ask if the pressure was ok and if scalp massage was ok +June has very nice hands for massage, some massagers have very skinny fingers which don't feel as great +despite selecting the Swedish massage for 1 hour, she did do some custom massage at my neck and shoulders where I had a lot of tension +$160 for 1 hour Swedish massage (some customization by June) is honestly a respectable price - especially since the whole atmosphere was super calming with light ambient music, soft massage bed, clean sheets, some essential oils Some room for improvement: -I'm not sure, but I think there were times when might not have washed her hands after massaging my feet and touching another part of my body. As a heads up: mineral oil will be used, so be prepared to be covered in it. Final Thoughts: If you are not used to full body spa massages, the pricing is steep but comparatively it is competitive for the area, especially if you get June. The first time I went, my body really felt brand new afterwards. Highly recommend her!

Oh, enough of the fun and games.  Tina  did a fantastic job for a newbie at QI Massage  in the business center of K&H Massage   There are a few problems that I will have to address, but they have nothing to do with Tina's massage performance or massage techniques.   1.  I did notice that during my massage, the music selections were of one song played over and over again.  I would have preferred no music be played in this case.  When I return here, I will request this. 2. I  happened to use the sheet that would normally cover my fatass, and used it to cover the table.  I did not see Tina complete the changing of the sheets, but I do hope she did this.   I am NOT saying she DIDN'T, I am just say it looked like straightening the sheets was all she did.  Also, Tina's English is still in the beginninger's stage, but she is working hard on improving her Grammer and English Language skills.  Please be patient on this...she is trying. 3.  I do recommend  K&H Massage do get a credit card machine up and running.   Walking back and forth between the two businesses can get annoying for some clientele.  Aside from those three things I noticed, my experiences with K&H Massage aka QI Massage. The only thing standing in between you and a great manicure is nothing (as long as you go to this…read moresalon)! Brittney absolutely rocked my dazzle dry manicure. I was in a rush and she got my nails don't in less than 20 min and still had time for the filing and hand massage! Truly she was amazing and they came out looking spectacular. The space is very cute and calming! Really enjoyed the set up and experience. Would probably recommend staying longer than 20 min just to soak it all in. Thanks again to Brittney fot being a speed master (ironically the shade I chose was "fast car").

I called Nothing in Between at Tysons Corner Center today regarding a previous nail service issue,…read moreand unfortunately, my experience with the owner, Jade Kim Trusso, was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. When I called, Jade answered the phone and initially informed me that management was unavailable. She asked where I was calling from and stated that she would take my number so management could return my call. I explained that during my last visit, management had advised me that I could return to have my $80 nail service redone at no charge due to issues with the original appointment. I did cancel one follow-up appointment because I was not feeling well, but I was told at that time that I would still be able to reschedule whenever I was ready. During my original appointment, my nail technician was switched at the last minute to work on another client, and a different technician completed my nails instead. Unfortunately, the replacement technician was a new hire and unable to properly execute the French manicure I requested. I politely expressed multiple times throughout the appointment that I was unhappy with how the nails were turning out, but the same mistakes continued to be made. Since there were no other technicians available to assist, I allowed the service to be completed. In addition to being dissatisfied with the quality of the nails, I also did not receive basic finishing services such as lotion or a hand massage. At the time of that visit, I spoke with the manager on duty, who acknowledged my concerns and advised me that I could call back and reschedule a complimentary correction service whenever I was ready. However, during today's phone call, Jade informed me there was actually a two-week limit to redeem the redo service. I explained that this policy had never been communicated to me previously. She initially stated that she would "make an exception this one time," but after briefly placing me on hold, she returned and denied the service altogether. What was most upsetting was the way I was spoken to during the conversation. Jade claimed that "every time" I visit the salon I have complaints, which is completely untrue. I have no idea where she gathered that information from. I never complain about services and only raised concerns during my last visit because the quality of the work did not reflect the price paid. Rather than handling the situation professionally, she became dismissive and told me to "find another nail salon." Afterwards, she hung the phone up on me. I was also confused by the inconsistency in communication throughout the call. At first, Jade stated that she was not part of management, but later identified herself as the owner of the business. As someone who values professionalism, communication, transparency, integrity, and respectful customer service, I found the entire interaction deeply disappointing. I understand that misunderstandings can happen, but customers should still be treated with honesty, courtesy, and respect--especially when attempting to resolve a prior service issue that management had already acknowledged. I truly do not believe I did anything to warrant the dismissive and disrespectful treatment I received. Regardless of whether someone is having a difficult day, professionalism and basic customer care should still remain a priority. Unfortunately, the customer service I experienced from the owner was poor, unprofessional, and left me feeling completely disregarded as a paying customer. Jade was very rude and left me sad and in tears after the call. I've never been this mistreated before by any business/business owner. I have never encountered a business owner who seemed so unwilling to engage with a client, take accountability for concerns, provide solutions, or make any effort to preserve the customer relationship. I have supported this business for quite some time, have always been kind, and consistently tip when I did receive good service. This whole situation was not my fault, but I got treated like it was.
