When I requested a refund--since I was unwilling to proceed with a provider that misrepresented their insurance status--they refused, citing their 24-hour cancellation policy. However, I hadn't canceled the appointment; I arrived in good faith, expecting coverage. Only once I learned the true facts, which the clinic already knew, did I decline to continue. PLEASE read this!!…read more After years of working with a highly respected, well trained, older and more experienced acupuncturist, I was so overwhelmed and feeling so out of sorts, so upon the offer of services, I had an appointment with Alexandra (acupuncturist). She did a review of my situation from her medical tradition, or the acupuncture view of diagnosis, and she made a few comments, place a few needles (I didn't even feel them) and let me relax in her charming office for about 15 minuets. She returned, took the needles out, and told me to let her know how I felt later, or within the next 24 hours. On the hour long drive home, I felt something 'come up' in me. I could feel something that wanted to be released. Such an odd feeling, and at the same time I felt that whatever was coming up was going to feel better once allowed to be freed. So many things happened...my tongue felt like a cotton pillow, a sort of anger seemed to be brewing, only it all felt perfect and normal. I had never had such a reaction to any treatment, so it was all very interesting and I felt like something really amazing was taking place for me. That feeling was very supported and genuine so I was able to just let the experience unfold. I won't go into all the details, however, the important point is that after this treatment, I felt better than I had in the last few years!
