I like that they have such a wide range of classes: Barre, yoga, Pilates, Zumba and more. People of all ages, levels and body types will feel welcome here. I also like that they supply the mats and equipment, and tea so you can relax and chat after class.

They aren't pushy about you purchasing anything but are really knowledgable if you have questions. The studio itself is very clean, the bathrooms are as well. The two owners are approachable and friendly, willing to have a quick chat but also content to just let you be. There's more than enough yoga supplies offered - mats, blocks, straps, bolsters and even supplies to whipe down the mats after class. The classes I've taken here don't use most of the props but it's nice to know that if the class dose start to need them I don't have to go buy my own. The late class on Tuesday is usually full or close to, I recomend saving a spot throught their website if your not close. The teacher is very knowlageable and she offers lots of way to make poses easier or harder so you never feel left out. There's usually some kind of tea on offer, it is a nice touch that most other studios I've been to don't offer. Sometimes it's odd sounding flavours but I haven't had anything that didn't taste good. The parking is weird, there's no times on the paid spots so you don't know if you need to pay to park all the time or not. There is free parking around but can be hard to find. There is also an underground parkade in the building but I don't know if it's paid or not (I'll update this if I find out)

Caulfield School of Dance is a wonderful school filled with passionate, professional and qualified…read moreteachers. I would highly recommend anyone looking for an established studio that provides high-quality dance education to join. I became a student at CSD when I was a teenager and the previous studio I danced at closed down. Cori and her teachers were phenomenal at integrating my sister and I into the school (to the point where CSD became our second home). I improved as a dancer because of CSD's intelligent programming and caring faculty. The opportunities I had at CSD created beautiful memories for my family and I to look back on, I also made life-long friendships with my dance peers who I share many of those memories with.

The main issue with Caulfield School of Dance is the fact that the Director and her staff are not…read moreconcerned about the improvement of the dancers. This is the paramount issue as their "Professional Training Division" is nothing similar to other youth companies in the tri-cities, as everyone makes it in to the PTD if their parents go in and threaten to leave. If you're looking for reliable training from qualified teachers, and choreography to push your child, I would not recommend investing in Caulfield's hefty prices. Now, on a more positive note, if you're looking for a studio to send your child once a week, with little commitment...Caulfield is an okay place. However, the recreational teachers are not very committed to teaching dance; most have recently graduated and deal with the recreational kids as a 'first time' learning experience. I'm not exactly sure of the dollar figure that Caulfield charges as it has been some time since I have been affiliated with their fees but I believe it is somewhere in the range of $1000-$2000 a year for a recreational dancer. With the half baked instruction from lacklustre teachers, the money simply isn't worth it. I really do try to find some positive because reading yelp reviews can be very dark sometimes. Caulfield is a great place to learn to perform, as they offer many performance opportunities with their 5 year end shows. A weekend of fun for the most part. However, in preparation for the year-end shows, there is numerous extra-rehearsals, the ludicrous "Photo-Day" and numerous extra expenses that come at you from no where, with little to no explanation as to why you must pay these expenses. Again, a common theme of hefty prices with little to no substance prevails. I would also like to say "Sommer T" who gave Caulfield School of Dance a 5 star rating on this exact site is an ex-teacher at Caulfield who to my understanding has maintained a very good relationship with the owner Cori. I have trouble removing bias from that whole review as it is written by a friend of Cori's. I don't mean to be cruel, but in conclusion I would never recommend sending a child to this dance school. It's beyond disorganized, very expensive, and overall the teaching is just 'meh.' There are many other studios in the tri-city area that will provide your child with both a better administration, and a better faculty. **For reference, other tri-city dance schools are Pulse Dance Centre, Tri-City Dance Centre, Simply Ballet, Port Moody School of Dance, Vela Academy of Movement, Dance Force, Coastal Edge Dance Center, Encore Dance Poco, K & S Dance

Huge talent in the teachers and very well run by the owners. I talked to the owner when my daughter was feeling scared of the dancing in the recital and she was so understanding and right on top of it to make sure my kid got some extra encouragement. Management is on top of every detail and in dance there are a LOT of details. The studio puts its efforts into serving the kids in an "everyone is welcome" kind of way. At the end of the year the kids feel SO proud of themselves. You just know that the year end show has affected them in a positive and life long way. I could not rave more.

Although, I am a manager in a very respected company. She was explaining to me how to scroll my finger through the phone and find the information on website and comparing to a little child who can do it compared to me. And also mentioned that she is going crazy because many parents are calling about that. Lovely rude lady, clearly that's because your emails that you are sending, are really confusing for many, not because we are all dumb people and you are there to teach us how to scroll. Definitely, my child is not going to be registered in the next season, especially, I did not see much of a change in her dancing skills. If you do a business do not assume that everybody has a big understanding of your processes and be ready to nicely and kindly assist if your consumers are calling with a question, especially if it's many of them. If you are tired and cranky, hire an assistant to help you with the customer service. Would not recommend their services. Rude treatment every time I talk to them.
