If I could give them -0- stars, that would still be too many.
I ordered the steak at the waiter's suggestion and they brought me an inedible piece of meat that was filled with fat and gristle on the sides, and meat that was too tough to cut let alone chew in the center.
It didn't dawn on me until later that night what they did: they served me a piece of chuck (stew meat) they sliced and threw on the grill - and called it a steak. Chuck, a lesser cheaper cut, has to be cooked in a stew for hours to make it edible.
After trying to eat various parts of it, I left it on my plate and complained to the waiter the steak wasn't edible. He didn't care much and when he brought the bill it was included in it. I complained, and the manager said he "couldn't remove the charge." I left hungry. It wasn't until later that night I figured out it was chuck they served me (falsely calling it steak) and then I was both hungry and pretty mad.
I've been in some pretty lean times in my life, but never bad enough to try to save 10 bucks by serving chuck meat to a diner, calling it steak, and hope they were too stupid to notice.
It wasn't the only bad taste from that meal. I went with my wife and two daughters, and their meals were almost as bad. My one daughter ordered the vegetarian dish and it was dry and lifeless. The waiter noticed and brought her a bottle of olive oil saying "it comes out very dry sometimes." So I guess the cure all for having a terrible chef is giving diners a bottle of olive oil to make their dish not dry.
My wife and other daughter ordered the chicken wrap and the Caesar salad with chicken, both with fried chicken. It tasted like fish. We initially couldn't tell if it was fish or chicken. On close inspection we found it was very thin slices of chicken, but probably fried in the same oil they cook their fish.
A note about the other "great" reviews on this restaurant - they're fake. Just like the fake reviews of games in the App Store, or product reviews now on Amazon, they're written by friends or purchased from review "services".
This is the first really horrible review I've ever written about a restaurant, but... they deserve it. To serve a poorly cooked meal on occasion, that's one thing - everyone slips up once in a while. But to cheat customers by serving a piece of chuck meat and calling it a steak, that's quite another... read more
