Hey there, yeah it's me. That being said and all, I ordered myself a map of Shanghai circa 1920-something. Received it right on schedule, as would be proper, and it looked great. Took the bugger down to one of the local shops for framing suggestions and we went with our second choice as a call on the tele confirmed choice numero uno was now a relic having been confined to the pages of yester-years selection choices as previously charted 'n such; necessitating not festering, but obliged to relegate it used and so she tossed the sample into the trashcan next to what looked like an old tuna sandwich with a tomato that was sagging off the styrofoam container kind of like a tortured and unhappy old Chinese farmer whom was in the midst of uttering "uggh" ... but I digress, as the second choice frame turned out great and with the map in place the combo could have sure-fire come from the US-Embassy in Shanghai, China-circa 1920-something just straight as I had hoped. I've had framing done at Art Source before so when I had an antique piece that needed repair it was a no brainer. They do a great job and are very prompt. The people couldn't be nicer and their prices are usually lower. The only hitch is parking for the mall but hey, it was worth it !! read more

Wonderful shop located in Boulder, CO on Pearl Street. I've been on a puzzle kick lately and this was a perfect place to browse and shop. The isles are narrow so it's best to make sure of your surroundings when shopping. Lots of art prints , coasters, puzzles a like . I found a Colorado puzzle of 1,000 pieces. $20. Most everything in this shop is at a reasonable price. The sales person was very helpful , she was able to give me a 20% discount the day I came. The prints in this shop are of wilderness, maps , outdoor and similar. There are other themes but those were the reoccurring ones I mostly saw. I will be stopping by again when I'm in the area as they have a section of puzzles that had very fun nostalgic photo puzzles. read more

Today was a big sale day on the Pearl St Mall, with lots of merchandise out on the bricks in front of the stores. Perfect to get a January thaw on a holiday when people have time to enjoy downtown in winter. I have purchased historical photo art here in the past as decor for our house. These were well framed pieces and chosen for scenic history of our neighborhood. They do a lot of custom framing. Today, there were lots of puzzles and other gift items on a sale table outside and I saw something just perfect for a future birthday gift. I will stash it away for many months. When I took it inside to pay, the staff was rather preoccupied with art framing and did not seem to have anyone dedicated to the sales counter. That is normally the case here, but not really ok on a day when there are people walking in the door ready to pay for the sales items piled outside. A little more staff would have been nice. read more

I was in town with my black girlfriend, and wanted to show her the sights. She saw your store on Pearl St., saw a map she liked, and we were walking through the store for other things we liked. I had a map in my hand, and she had hers. The woman behind the counter demanded that she hold my girlfriend's map, 'for safekeeping'. It was a $15 map. Racism. Pure and simple. Wow. Seriously. Wow. Outstanding collection of both original and reproduction maps as well as art posters and other cool art items. The staff is über knowledgeable about any thing at all that they sell and they do not hesitate to go to the back and bring out even more stuff to both satisfy your desire for more and to pique your curiosity about their collection. I picked up a sweet 1778 reproduction of a map of Massachusetts that is at the framer as we speak. They also have a frame shop there as well and will ship if that's what you need. I could have spent hours in here poring over each bin of prints. Fun place. read more

One of the best & most unique stores along Pearl Street Mall, this place is a fun stop with a great combination of terrific vintage maps from all over the world & awesome photos and signs. Have seen maps from nearly 150 years ago in their bins, a terrific place to find a unique gift. Their owner, George Karakehian, is a really nice man, and he and his staff provide superior customer service. Great postcards & magnets, plus Boulder items towards the back of the store. This is a great little shop. If you're a tourist looking for gifts--things like magnets, posters, prints, coasters--this has unique items, designed by the store or artists hired by it. You won't find them or anything quite like them in the other shops on Pearl Street. They have a set of magnets with Boulder-themed designs done in (what I think might be) Art Deco styles, and they have Italian marble coaster sets with these designs as well. I really liked them and was tempted to buy more marble coasters than I could ever expect to need. Beyond gifts, this shop does framing and has a large assortment of prints, posters, old maps, and globes. The staff are super friendly. And you get a 10% discount for a Yelp check-ins. read more

Eric truly gave us the white-glove treatment when framing a very special original painting from the 1800's. Fantastic selection of a wide variety of prints and posters, some of them reproductions of vintage or classic pictures. Subject matter varies greatly. During my visit, I was lucky to find some high-quality reproductions of botanical prints by a 17th century artist, Basilius Besler. These are classic and beautifully detailed botanicals, something I have been wanting to purchase for a while, reproduced to be true in quality to the originals. With a price of only $15 a print, and with a special deal of buying two prints and getting the third one for free, I simply could not resist. Of added value was having a friendly, customer-oriented saleswoman who was actually very knowledgeable about the product. I really loved this store and would highly recommend it to anyone. read more

This store does not respect published prices. We found a great globe that was listed on "sale" at $40, down from $80. We were really happy and ready to but it, and when we went up to pay the owner said she put the price tag on by mistake, and it was actually $180. The owner refused to sell it for less than $180. My grandpa was very upset and we left. Do not support this rip-off of a place, the owner is a dishonest thief. read more

Found a vintage poster on their website. Called to find out if it was available. Salesperson didn't know, said he would call me back in an hour. Several hours passed no call. Went online put the poster in my cart completed the transaction and got my order confirmation. I called back in the afternoon salesperson said it was sold but no other information. I asked if they could check to see if it was my online transaction that "purchased" it. No help. Sent an email 3 days later inquiring. They responded next day saying it was already sold. I asked why if it was sold was I able to buy online. Was told it was sold in the store and the two are not connected. Nice way to run a business. read more
