The quality of the framing is great. No complaints on that front. The woman I worked with was kind. However, I recommend to other customers to be very sure the Frame Shop understands what you want if you have something specific in mind. I expressed clearly how I wanted the mat to tightly crop my (yellowing) print. The person helping me moved the mat out further and I said no, I actually WANT it cropped tighter, so ultimately the mat covers most of paper, exposing just the image. $300+ later and they just did what they wanted, I guess. My mistake was not writing it down for them, perhaps. They seem busy, distracted, and not particularly interested in listening. My mother-in-law had the lithograph hanging in her Paris apartment for 20 years and it was gifted to me after she passed away. It was a treat to spend a little more for a special piece. Disappointing to be casually ignored on something so meaningful to me. read more

I just bought a painting on ebay that needed a linen liner replaced. It was an older painting on stretched canvas (not antique, but had some issues), with a liner and rather inexpensive frame, so there was really no telling how it would all go back together again, once it was taken apart. I was given a very fair quote from Lee on replacing the liner (materials cost) and the labor to do so. His quote was less than any of the other big chain stores I called. I went ahead with him for the job, and in the end, I was really happy with the results. The new liner was fabulous, and even made the painting and frame look nicer! He also secured the liner with the frame and canvas frame so that there would be no movement of all 3 pieces in the future. Really happy, and I will be returning again with any framing needs I have. BTW, my neighbor has also used him many times for various projects and always spoken highly of the prices and the quality of work. His timing/turn around was in line with any other shop, and he finished on time (actually a bit earlier). Highly recommended! read more
