Horrible customer service experience tonight with Lisa and the manager on duty. The only positive…read moreemployee was Emerson, who genuinely tried to help but was told by Lisa and the manager not to assist us. It's sad to think of other customers having to go through this kind of treatment. I came in around 8pm and at 8:30pm asked to have fabric cut--30 minutes before closing. I was told they could only cut three fabrics due to it being so close to closing time. We had wanted 6 fabrics cut but decided not to push the issue. Lisa cut two, then stopped early to begin closing down the store. At 8:53pm--still before closing--she refused to cut the last fabric, claiming it would take "5 to 10 minutes" to cut one piece of 3-yard fabric. That excuse is absurd. Measuring and cutting fabric is basic service, and there was still time left before the store officially closed. When Emerson stepped up to help, she was directly told by Lisa and the manager not to serve us. This was after we had already spent about $150 on fabric and other items. Refusing service to paying customers who are well within store hours is unacceptable. I understand not wanting to keep staff past closing, but when a customer is in the store before closing time, they should receive service until that time--not be dismissed early. Tonight's interaction was dismissive, unprofessional, and damaging to Michael's reputation for customer service. I will be escalating this to Michael's corporate management, because I believe the company would not condone the way this store treated its customers.

If yelp had an option to give 0 stars, I would have…read more Photocraft put me through the most painful service experience of my life. I wanted processing and true black and white prints from 35mm negatives, along with digital transfers to CD from those negatives, and another CD from other negatives I already had processed. When I got my packet back from them, it included 1 CD of awful transfers and terrible prints on color paper. I went back to them explaining what was wrong with my order, and the conversation took 40 minutes, worse then when I had prints made in Morrocco by a man who didn't speak any English. Eventually the Cro-Magnon I talked to understood my message (after accusing me of losing the missing CD). He kindly said it would be corrected (re-do the prints on B+W paper, and make a CD for the negatives). When I returned to pick up my second order, again the prints were on color paper because Photocraft doesn't do true black and white prints!! That might have been nice to know the first time around. The digital transfers I had done were extremely over priced compared to my photo place in San Francisco. For pixely, dirty 1.3 mb files a CD was $22, a little less then the price I get 200 mb photos for in San Francisco. They didn't charge me for true black and white prints, because they don't offer that service, and they made me the second missing CD without charging me a second time. Despite this, I wasted about 3 hours of my life. Also, when looking at some of my abstract photos, the manager commented "I don't even know what that is," as if it were a mistake. Thanks for the lesson in creativity, I apologize for not shooting HDR panoramas of Colorado aspens, you bland joke. This place is for the Thomas Kinkades of photography.

This was maybe one of the worst experiences in retail I've ever had. The one-star review is…read morespecifically because of an employee named Magdalena. I came in today to exchange some items I had bought for my wife's birthday. Because I lost the receipt, I had to take 60% in credit of the sales price. No problem-- it's not their fault I lost the receipt, it's mine. But what was so glaringly one-star worthy was how painful the entire exchange was because of Magdalena's demeanor. From the sighing, to the glaring-- not only was she not friendly, she was rude! Consider saying please or thank you if you work in retail. Or if you're that unhappy working there: quit! I can't believe this is a Christian-owned business. It's quite baffling! Furthermore, they told me they couldn't take an item back because they didn't sell it anymore (meaning: it wasn't populating on their iPad). Instead of doing some due diligence or giving a consumer the benefit of the doubt, they'd made their decision: we're not taking this back! I literally had to walk all the way to the back of the store and grab the item which they still sell (pic attached) in order for them to even consider they were wrong. Oops! No "sorry about that", no "oh you're right, our fault!" Just a dull look on her face obviously disgruntled because I'm making her do "extra work." Really-- either be happy at your job OR just quit. Don't suffer others because of your lack of happiness. I had $5 left on my gift card which I gave to the customer behind me because I'm never coming back here again, I'll go out my way to go to Michael's. Awful job, Hobby Lobby.

We worked with Jessica and had an amazing experience!…read more Starting with the proposal, Jessica took the time to measure our basement and come up with several recommended layouts and designs, and gave life to our vision. We had 1800 sq ft to play with and was able to finalize a design within our budget and stuck to it! During the construction, the team was extremely efficient and got all the work done quickly. They were extremely nice to work with and constantly kept us involved at every turn to make sure we were happy with the work along the way. (I'm a control freak so this was greatly appreciated). They were able to get the project done about 1 week ahead of schedule and we were extremely happy with the final results.

We found Beck and "expert guys construction" through an Instagram ad. We did a consult with him for…read morea full gut renovation of our outdated kitchen. He quoted us a big number but he showed us many videos and pictures of his previous work and after looking him up on Thumbtack and Google review, we took the plunge and hired him. I am here to tell you what a horrible mistake that was in hopes of helping anyone else who may be considering hiring him. He took ALOT of money from us but beginning the very first day he was supposed to start our project, he has made every day of our lives a nightmare and I wish I was exaggerating. A project he assured us (verbally and in our contract) would take 4-6 weeks took over 4 months and the only reason it finally finished is because we went out and bought our own supplies so that the workers would have something to install. MOST of those 4 months, the kitchen sat with no work being done because Beck did not provide the materials to do the work. I'm talking weeks to months for him to order flooring, CABINETS, countertops! He waited so long that we had to settle for a different cabinet color and different countertops than what agreed on in the beginning because they were sold out or on backorder. He literally said he would NOT deliver our countertops if we didn't pay him money the night before he was supposed to come with them. WE HAD ALREADY PAID HIM FOR THE COUNTERTOPS!!! Even though we had proof and text messages and bank drafts, he said he cannot bring us the countertops because he doesn't have the money to pay those workers so we had to. I WISH I was making this up. And the worst part, is if we didn't have proof of everything through text messages, he would have stolen so much more money and supplies from us. All the things we went out and bought ourselves were included in the contract but were never reimbursed (backsplash, lighting, drawers and shelfs for the cabinets, faucets, sink). On top of that he left our home an absolute disaster. His workers left tools, and half used supplies everywhere. They spilled white paint on our concrete garage floor and left it there to dry and for us to cleanup! Also, he will flat out ignore your calls and text messages FOR DAYS! We had to get legal counsel and send him legal threats for him to respond! I don't want this review to get much longer, there is so much to say. We are forever traumatized by this whole experience and will let everyone know on every review site. I'm sure Beck thinks he just robbed us blind and never have to deal with us again, what a surprise he will get soon. If you are reading this and considering hiring expert guys construction, you have been severely warned. Proceed at your own risk and only if you have a good lawyer on retainer. P.S. all of his workers speak Russian and VERY little English, so good luck communicating with whichever stranger that shows up to your house and that's IF they come to work.

He was super nice and helpful... we have 4 kiddos all young and they were very interested in his work. He was very kind and they all enjoyed watching him work.
