As a loyal customer and also a contributor to the artistic offerings at Western Stars Gallery & Studio, I am intimately aware of the establishment and the owners sensitivities and political empathy's. I was shocked to see a review that intimated anything but solidarity and respect for any minority group or other under appreciated group including the LGBTQ community. Although, I sincerely was not there when this "Hate Speech" was overheard, and, I do not question that this occurrence did happen, ... but, I can readily imagine that it was that of a customer, and does not in any way reflect those who own and operate the business. My experience at Western Stars Gallery & Studio, while frequently spouting my own liberal views, has always been positive and non-intrusive. I am anything but subtle. The staff, owners or sales representatives, have always treated me, my concerns, and my needs as being of their utmost priority. LOVE this shop! Such a cute and eclectic place in the sweet town of Lyons. It's a fairly large space chock full of everything from goodies for kids, knick-knacks for tourists passing through, interesting local art and beautiful hand-picked antiques. Every nook and cranny of the place has something interesting to look at, and the two owners are always so friendly and interested in getting to know a bit about each customer that walks in. It's not only a gallery but also a studio where they host workshops and sip 'n' paint nights, which are just so much fun. I could easily spend over an hour in here chatting with the owners and drooling over everything. The place feels so community-oriented and welcoming, and I love that there is literally something for every pocket size. Love stopping by here every time I come through Lyons. read more

Love this place. Not only is it a great place to hunt for interesting gifts, it's a fun place to view wonderful art. Not a traditional art gallery, it has something for everyone. I did all my holiday shopping here. Prices are good and I was able to find gifts at several price points. They carry both high end art and quality fine craft. The gallery staff/owners are warm, welcoming and friendly and make people feel right at home. I go to this gallery every year when I visit Lyons, and Estes Park, Colorado! It's wonderful, friendly and they take great care of you as a customer. The knowledgeable owners have helped me find many unusual and creative gifts for friends and family. The art is fantastic! Chrystal (the owner) is such a wonderful, friendly woman, who is so open and fun to chat with, and her place is a reflection of that. I have had a great time the few times I have stopped into her gallery. The place is filled with so many interesting things and such beautiful art. I found unique presents for my family and Chrystal helped me pick out the perfect gift for my boyfriend. I felt so welcome in her store. This is a unique eclectic and beautiful gallery. The owner is continuously looking and finding interesting western themed, and other artwork,collectibles and beautifully crafted jewelry,sculptures and much more. A fun place to spend some time getting blown away by so much unique and variable types of art, antiques and the perfect gifts. The way the owner displays the original things is a work of art itself. Western Star Hallery is the best there is. Rocky Mountain support with world class acumen. Having worked as a designer globally, this is not words I write lightly.
