As a student many, many years ago, I almost dreaded finishing a drawing or painting because I found the process of matting and framing so tedious; now I look forward to spending time with Rob and Steve (and trusty office assistants Rafi and Amigo) because they make the process so much fun. I reached out to them about framing several high value pieces, one very large. They were unable to get the supplies needed to frame my large piece and rather than discuss assisting me with the others, they merely wished me luck. In a follow up email, I expressed my surprise at their indifference to the many pieces I needed framed; their further response was exceptionally rude and dismissive. For premier framers, I thought they would be enthusiastic about assisting me with my art collection but I was treated as an annoying child. I wonder if I would've been treated with a modicum of respect had I been a man. Will never grace them with my business. read more

The most amazing and best art framers ever! They gave us lots of time, never rushing us even though there was someone waiting. In fact one gentleman said "this is your time. Don't rush. Let's get it right." They explained design concepts in a clear way that we have never experienced before. All these guys made us feel so comfortable. We had fun and learned a lot. This just doesn't happen at other framing places. And the frame on our painting is perfect. Can we give them six stars? I really wish we could. Thank you, guys. 15th Street Gallery is a real gem! My husband and I first took them a very special fine art piece for framing. The owners Rob and Steve provided expert service, advice and were generous with their time. The framing itself was top-notch, museum-quality work. Once we discovered them, though, it was the gallery (not the excellent framing) that kept our interest. We started attending their various contemporary art exhibitions and artist receptions and have purchased additional artwork from them. Rob and Steve have a solid knowledge of contemporary art and know the art community well. Lastly, I have recently worked with Rob and Steve as an exhibiting artist. They were incredible to work with: thoughtful, kind and generous. I really can't recommend them more! read more

Ah the Art World. I went to 15th street to have an older painting framed and was BLOWN AWAY by the quality. They turned my old painting into a modern work of art. They did a tremendous job for a rather modest price. I was also pleasantly surprised by the quality of art work they have on display. I did not realize they were also an art gallery. There are so few galleries in Boulder that haven't been reduced to selling jewelry, teapots and matches-the-living-room-decor art to survive. 15th Street Gallery is a marvel. They do framing (beautifully), but that business is kept out of the way of their gorgeous showcase for the best in art. Right now, as I write, they're displaying magical work by Hung Lui, a Chinese artist whose meticulous training glows through her exquisite and dream-like visions. She's amazing -- gobsmacking! 15th Street has also given us other Amazings: Red Grooms, Betty Woodman, Robert Kushner...always classy. Great Art by Great Artists. I love going there. When I pop in to take a look, no one bothers me, no one's drooling down my neck. I'm allowed to think and absorb. I'm inevitably bowled over, then walk out wondering if I'll ever catch my breath again. We need more places like 15th Street Gallery, private galleries that exhibit the best artists nationally and internationally. This is an oasis for art lovers, run by people who truly and seriously know their art onions! read more

They display art from top artists around the country (and locally) and they have a passion for what they do. I came to this gallery and "museum" of sorts at both the beginning and working process of the 3d paper and sculpture show and I'd have to say all the works are phenomenal. It's not every day that you see such modern contemporary artwork from even elders with such pristine foundation and complex, beautiful backgrounds. Rob was extremely conversational with innate details about many if not all of the pieces and was even privy to new interpretations by me and obviously many others who have already stepped foot into the gallery. If you get a chance, ask about the piece "Arizona" and see what you can learn that day; They keep older works around that are not included in the show for appreciation as well! Albeit pricey, it's said all framing is done in house, and they seem to have time to communicate a lot WHILE working so enjoy your time. read more

This a framing and art gallery that I have used 2-3 times a year for over 5 years. Until recently, the service has been extraordinary and helpful, and the relationship friendly, engaging and cordial. Now, they say that their emphasis is on the sales of art rather than on framing. And, their attitude reflects it. The last 2 times I've gone in the service has been surly and indifferent, and on the last occasion I was especially taken aback by the outright rudeness of one of the owners which was followed by an email that was almost equally gruff and irritable .
