Low Prices, Fast Delivery, Quality Material…read more I order steel about once every three months and I always go to Suburban Welding and Steel. I send them what I need, they quote it within a working day (faster if I ask for it), and they ALWAYS have the LOWEST PRICE for the material. Most of my orders are for thin-walled tubing that I use for projects and for building test fixtures that need to be made cheaper than one from 8020. Once I place my order, the material arrives within a day or so. My last order was placed around 2PM on Monday and I was called at 9AM Tuesday to let me know that it was in the shop. I recommend giving Suburban Welding and Steel a try -- you will not be disappointed.

Budget Handyman…read more Tyler is a soft spoken guy and respectful. When I first met him he seemed trustworthy, but my experience with Tyler was not good. Therefore, I want to make some points that may help you if you are thinking of hiring him. First of all, Tyler sometimes cancelled his appointments to do work, and when he did not cancel, he was always late. I received many excuses from Tyler for why he could not come, including that he was sick with food poisoning, that he was having car problems, and that he was having problems with his phone. He was very apologetic when late, but he rarely texted or called to let me know he would be late. Furthermore, he would tell me he was going to get lunch and come back in about a half hour, only to come back close to two hours later. All of this would not have bothered me if he had completed the work adequately and there had been no other problems. I hired him to do sound proofing on a wall, and he did a good job on the wall. However, while working on the wall he accidentally got drywall mudding on the ceiling. He then attempted to fix the marks on the ceiling by painting over them. The problem was that even though he tried two shades of paint, he failed to match the color, which left me with two shades of paint on the ceiling. That's when things went wrong. I suggested it might be easier just to paint the whole ceiling since he couldn't match the color, and he responded with a text saying my ceiling was not covered in the payment and if I needed the ceiling repainted I would have to pay extra. Even worse, he claimed there were scuff marks on the ceiling that weren't his fault, despite the fact that my entire condo, including the ceiling, was painted before I moved in in March of this year. In other words, he made a mistake and then blamed me instead of fixing his mistake. Unfortunately, I had already paid him for the job at this point, and he never did fix his mistake. Please take this into consideration before you hire Tyler, so that you don't have an experience like I did.

We paid extra for powder coating to keep the hand rails a long time without rust also. Once the rails came they had smudges on the paint, scratches and the paint was tacky not dried. Once I contacted him about it he said he , the company, doesn't cover the paint imperfections on the rail....???? I have to use the touch up. That was a punch in the gut after waiting for that extended time and paying extra for powder coating. He said that company only covers is the rail is loose.... So after this experience I know that I will be for sure to ask what is covered when ordering any type of rails I'm hoping to right a retraction or follow up to this issue.
