David, the owner, seems like a nice guy, and he did a good job replacing the tiles on my bathroom floor, and he (mostly his assistant) did a lot of painting, which on the whole looks good. But see below... The big issues were what I discovered after he was finished and had left: fresh paint stains in multiple areas, including the wood floor of my 19th century house and even furniture - which I cleaned up. Splattered paint near the ceiling of my kitchen which still, three months later, has not been patched, paint stains on my oriental rug, a major purchase 40 years ago, etc. David said he would pay for the rug damage, and I only asked for 50% of the very reasonable $175 cleaning cost. David told me to bill him via Zelle, something I said I'm not sure how to do. He already has my Zelle information, since that's how I paid him for the work. But after messaging him and emailing several times, he has not responded. And I still have paint streaks on the wall and an unpaid bill. So I can't recommend Handy Gentlemen. I think part of the problem is that David is under-manned and a bit overwhelmed, but not responding to my messages is unprofessional.

I doubled down on an Angie's Deal with KDM and got (2) days of handyman services (6 hrs per day). Kent promptly contacted me to schedule. We came up with some days that worked. Prior to the appointment, Ken contacted me again to go over what I needed done to make sure the guys arrived prepared and with the proper tools, etc. First up was JD. He did a fantastic job removing a mirrored wall. The wall beneath the mirror was pretty jacked up afterward and he laminated it with 1/4 drywall. He also trimmed an inch or so off of a custom built freestanding bookcase I had from our previous home. He was then able to install it flush on the wall and with the same base and crown molding so that it looked like a built-in. At the time, I also had some electricians installing some recessed lighting and in-wall speaker wire. Following JD, we had Paul come by to fix and patch some of the holes left by the electricians. He also cut holes for the in-wall speakers and navigated some tricky and very sturdy HVAC ducting. I was so happy with both JD and Paul, we had Paul back for another day of drywall repair and to hang my TV. I know, I know, I could have hung it myself, but these guys were real pros. Lastly, I want to mention that they were very tidy. Each day they finished up with cleaning after themselves, which my wife really appreciated. For that matter, so did I, because she would have had me clean up after them for sure. I would absolutely use KDM again, and I'd definitely want Paul and JD back.
