Super cute hole in the wall out in Little Compton. They have an art studio next door where you can look at all the different paintings and beautiful homey outdoor space. Their coffee and lattes were straight up and pretty good. Don't expect anything fancy.

    Gorgeous summer garden in bloom.

What a charming and kooky little place we stumbled upon on a recent trip to Little Compton! This place may be tiny but it is packed full of character. We had a delicious hibiscus iced tea and a very good espresso. Unfortunately there were no vegan options on the menu so we settled for a pre-packaged snack they had on display near the cash register. We look forward to stopping by for a hot beverage next time we are in Little Compton.

A quiet corner of the world to enjoy an iced coffee.

Amy H. wrote a lovely review - I can only add that this is a perfect location to escape the summer heat, buy an iced coffee and cookie, and spend some time doing blissfully nothing.

To the right of the shed is a refurbished corner of an old house that has been converted to an art studio, it's pretty cool.

Maybe it's because the shop is so small it's literally just one room or maybe they're just not used to seeing people of color. I can't say for certain, but that's honestly how it felt every time I walked in. The young baristas are always friendly and welcoming, but the owner comes across as cold and unapproachable. Every visit has been met with blank stares and an expression that makes me feel like I'm inconveniencing them just by being there. After multiple visits, I still haven't felt welcomed. The coffee is pretty mid, and the slices of cake are overpriced for the quality. I kept giving this place another chance, hoping my experience would improve, but unfortunately it never did. A welcoming atmosphere is just as important as good coffee, and this place missed the mark for me.

There's always…read morelike 20 people working and every single person from the books to the kitchen staff is happy and cheerful and so kind. Honestly, this is refreshing as corporations understaff and stress their employees. This local owner know what we the patrons want, we want people who are happy with their jobs and that's done by great staffing. This is my go to for any gift. Yes, you're paying more for a book than you would on Amazon but this is the opposite of a greedy corporation who screws everyone. This is truly local and I'm lucky to live 20 mins away.

My friend and I went on a weekday night, about 2 hours before closing so it was pretty quiet. I initially thought the bookstore was only on the first floor of the building but turns out it's a multi-story experience. There is a parking lot at the back where I parked and I was able to enter through the back door (not sure if this is the main entrance). On the first floor, they have some books, bathrooms, a check out desk, nick nacks (hats, stationery, puzzles, etc.), and most importantly, a coffee shop. The coffee shop was closing up around the time we got there so plan accordingly and do some research on their hours. as they are not the same as the bookstore. The books are clearly labeled by genre. After taking a stroll, we decided to check out the second floor which was supposed to have a little market, a stage where they host events, and some very comfortable couches along with tables and chairs. I mostly came to see if a book spoke to me, but also to get some reading in from the book I brought along with me. The lighting is good, although I sometimes prefer to have a dimmer setting for a cozier feel. We spent about 1.25 hours here, but we could have easily spent a longer time if it weren't so close to closing.
