Maureen Anders and Adria Ruff are brains behind this company AR(Anders-Ruff) Worshop. It began as…read morean Etsy store in 2010. It developed into other entities after the Etsy store. 6 years later they had enough customers and business to open a brick and mortar store. Their vision was to create a DIY and therapeutic atmosphere. They now have over 100 locations across the United States for anyone that wants to experience DIY arts and crafts. The DIY culture has been booming over the years and this was perfect business for these two. The Evans, Georgia store is owned and operated by the mother and daughter duo of Anita Barr and Brandi Collins. They are native of the city of Charlotte, North Carolina. This Evans location has been open since July and doing well. I'm never on this side of town so I wouldn't have even known this place existed until I was invited to an exclusive event here. This place was extremely easy to find, even though it was many miles from my house. It's in a perfect location and it's in a nice area of this side of town. Everything about this place is amazing!!! I love the fact that whatever you want you can do it all by yourself. It was so calming and relaxing. The owner and employees are so friendly and very helpful. I received most of my help by both Amanda's. I had a few mishaps but they both quickly ran over to correct any mistake I had. To experience this you have to pre-register for each class. They have something for the whole family to do. They have classes many days of the week. You can make almost anything involving planks of wood, cloth, and many more mediums. After this experience how can any who visits this place cannot come back and experience it again?!? This place is SO AMAZING!!! I'm in my zone whenever I'm doing something creative or working with my hands!!! I forget my worries and troubles that I'm currently facing. I can't wait for my next DIY project here!!!!

Upon entering, I was greeted by the taller Amanda with longer blonde hair (there were two, and both were nice). Amanda immediately made me comfortable and walked me step by step through the mini project. I never had the 'deer in the headlights' moment when I couldn't find any help when I needed it. She explained what would happen had this been a start from scratch experience as we had a slightly expedited process. While waiting for our paint to dry, I lollygagged around the store. There is a huge calendar wall showing what classes they're offering on certain days. A few I took note of was ladies night out and a mom's morning out. They also sell T-shirt's, candles, jewelry, and even pre-made signs. Whenever my family comes in to visit, this will definitely be on our to-do list. I look forward to our next DIY.

These guys are super stars!…read more A friend of mine was getting married and for every wedding that she has gone to she had a handkerchief embroidered with the bride's new initials--so, naturally, I wanted to do the same for her. I found the perfect handkerchief and all I needed was to find a place to get it done. I called around town and was told that because of the delicate fabric it would nearly be impossible to get done short of finding a little old lady that could hand sew. I mean, that is literally what one person told me. After panicking a bit (Where does my friend get it done? Who knows? I couldn't have asked though without stirring up her suspicion.) some kind person directed me here. Praise the Lamb, because they had me bring in the handkerchief to take a look at it and even though they had all the industrial machines in the back (I got a grand tour because I needed to pick out the perfect string colors--I didn't take pictures... because, well, it would have been odd. But believe me, they have half a million color options and the wall the colors are hung on is beautiful to look at) my handkerchief was done with care somewhere else. The staff were so very friendly. They treated me like an old friend and we were on the hunt for the perfect color combination for the embroidery. I really appreciated the time that they took and the kindness they showed my frazzled brain. My experience was with a small order and it was amazing the detail, I can only imagine how great of a job they do on larger products and orders.

We have been using Stitches for many years. Always great people and quality of work. It amazes me…read morethat someone could consider given them 1 star.

I met a group of teacher friends to enjoy painting, conversation, and a yummy drink from @thevibe.ga. While this was a group outing, I noticed a young lady who painted quite happily solo. She had her earbuds in and jammed( she was actually bobbing her head) while she painted a beautiful piece. The studio offers everything under the sun to paint and the selection is consistently updated with new pieces. There are pieces to fit every price range. The paint bar offers a rainbow of colors with the standard paint or fleck paint to add a little wow to your piece. Group Suggestions: Call ahead and reserve a table/room. This will allow you to bring shareable snacks. We just grabbed drinks but the thought of some charcuterie while we painted was noted for our next outing. Solo Suggestions: Prepare to make new friends as it is a close setting and crafty people are immediate friends. Also download a video or your favorite music list, grab a snack/drink in the event that it's a slow day or the tables are reserved for celebrations. Please share your story, reel or photo with me when you venture out to one of their two locations in the CSRA. Wishing you much fun!
