I recently took a short drive out to @artsymestudio. It was my first trip but certainly not my last. I met a group of teacher friends to enjoy painting, conversation, and a yummy drink from @thevibe.ga. While this was a group outing, I noticed a young lady who painted quite happily solo. She had her earbuds in and jammed( she was actually bobbing her head) while she painted a beautiful piece. The studio offers everything under the sun to paint and the selection is consistently updated with new pieces. There are pieces to fit every price range. The paint bar offers a rainbow of colors with the standard paint or fleck paint to add a little wow to your piece. Group Suggestions: Call ahead and reserve a table/room. This will allow you to bring shareable snacks. We just grabbed drinks but the thought of some charcuterie while we painted was noted for our next outing. Solo Suggestions: Prepare to make new friends as it is a close setting and crafty people are immediate friends. Also download a video or your favorite music list, grab a snack/drink in the event that it's a slow day or the tables are reserved for celebrations. Please share your story, reel or photo with me when you venture out to one of their two locations in the CSRA. Wishing you much fun! Painting in process!

This place was awesome!! The staff was kind and helpful, and they had so many different ceramics to choose from! It was such a relaxing environment, full of all kinds of groups - couples on a date, friends catching up, and kids enjoying painting! It was so fun to be creative in such a welcoming place. No art experience required! And everything turned out so well! Definitely a great afternoon outing!

I loved the experience of trying something new. The service while getting the ceramic paint was nice, but the front desk service wasn't.

Our pieces. I'll update with a finished picture after we pick them up

We are really into painting kindness rocks and I heard about this place. I took my daughter for her birthday not knowing what to expect. The staff is so friendly and patient, and helped guide us since it was our first time there. You pick out what you want to paint and that's what you pay for. The studio fee, the paint, firing and glazing are all included with whatever you choose to paint. We picked our pieces - a frog cup for her and a shark for me, found a table and got our paint. Brushes, paper towels, and a water bowl are all on your table waiting for you. We spent about an hour here. There is no time limit but I wanted to get 3 coats on the piece since that was what was recommended. I chose the fancy looking speckled paint, I really hope it ends up looking like the template we saw. My kiddo had fun, I had fun, and we will pick our pieces up on Friday after 2pm. So we'll see how it turns out!

Pumpkin & paints

Love love love! No appointment needed, just walk in and create!! Came here with some girls from work and had a great time. I made a cute pumpkin and a mermaid cup. They have events throughout the month too. Pick up is only a couple days. You can also reserve the party room for larger groups! I love my fired pieces!

I had a party and it could not have been better. They have a whole shelf of parties to choose from, helped the kids pick colors and guided them on painting and although I was sure my kiddo's art was going to be a brown mess since they sort of globbed the colors together, the staff put on a gloss coat that makes everything turn out great. Everyone had a great time. I'd say the age limit of 4+ was exactly right.

A cute cat plate my daughter uses for just about everything

My wife has been taking our daughter here since her birthday this past year and we've been often since. I myself have painted two MASTER-pieces, my wife a couple, and our daughter even more. Upon entering we're greeted, and asked what brought us in. By this time my daughter has already picked a piece and is waiting to choose her paint palate. Looking around you can choose from so many different options. Some things you can paint are mugs, (wine) glasses, measuring spoons, figurines, piggy-banks, plates, and other kitchen items. We usually stick with the awesome 'party animals'. What's so nice is that there is a one time fee. You only pay for what you choose to paint. No shelling out extra money for the use of studio, the glazing, or firing. If you're military, come on Friday as they offer 10% off. Pick up time is usually not too bad either. I'll probably bring my daughter here to paint some plates for Christmas gifts.

Prepping to paint!

Had an awesome time here! It's a great place to meet with friends and family and just be creative!! I do wish they had a larger varity of pieces to paint but other than that I had a great time. All ages are welcome and the staff and friendly and will assist you if you need any help getting started. It's a great place to bond with your family!

Our pottery

The idea to allow kids, adults, whoever, to pick some kind of pottery to paint how you want is wonderful. Went there today with some friends and my 1 and 5 year old and had a blast, for relatively cheap. Only paid $25 for two pieces that my daughter and I both painted. However, the only complaint was that we got scolded by one of the employees, because the kids mixed the paints together on their palettes, because they try to recycle the paint when you're done using them. Which is totally understandable except for the fact that the kids were 4 and 5 years old. It's probably not that big of a deal, but I was not happy with the remark, since I was also having to juggle my one year old, help my 5 year old, and help my friends nephew when he needed it. Just thought it was kinda unneeded and a little rude. But, besides that one hiccup, the place was really enjoyable! And I will be going back!!!!

Artsy me. Paint pottery and they bake it. Fun for families.

It looked VERY daunting. Two hours later, my piece surprisingly came out pretty nice! And, I liked it so much that I did it again! I went back to do a lighthouse. I believe the instructor's name on this one was Karen for the lighthouse. That was a tough piece. Karen took a lot of time with us. It was a two hour class, and I had no idea that it had already been three hours! She was so nice. In the end, I was also pretty satisfied with my lighthouse. :) Participants made an evening out of the class, too. Groups went together, and on the lighthouse class, I went on a Saturday night, several people brought wine and snacks. Lots of fun! The two pieces I did made for very nice Christmas presents I gave them to a good friend with whom I did a fall trip with that had the trees with the red autumn leaves and lighthouses. She loved them! I can honestly say that I am hooked! I am definitely planning to go back. There is another lighthouse piece that I'm wanting to do when they feature it.

I've enjoyed some of the art projects my family and I have made here…read more I've also enrolled my child in art camp--but I was very disappointed at what was advertised in the pamphlet, and what my child actually was able to make at camp. She did not get to make as many projects as advertised. I feel like most of her time was spent on coloring sheets--instead of on paintings and on crafts. It's too expensive to pay for my child to go to "art camp" and produce items she could have done at home. It felt like it was a bait and switch. I like the instructors we've had, but I don't like the direction the owner(s) is/are taking this company to make money. I will not do business with them again.
