ARS Rescue Rooter - OBVIOUS TOP DAMAGE FROM THEIR BACKHOE. - Plumbing Near Me - Aurora, Colorado

I would not trust this place as far as you can throw them I know why a lot of customers can't get anything resolved because the people in the office don't ever answer the phone they work within 5 ft of each other and won't talk to each other so anybody that has any issues with your bill or anything that they're being deceptive about and raise holy hell because here's what is going on when it comes to the people that they hire a lot of them are not qualified to do what they are selling. And it doesn't help that they treat their employees like shit and they screw with their pay. This company has a very hard time keeping people because the people that they hire end up being in over their heads they're not qualified and messing with their pay oh and let's not forget their schedule. Even for something that is simple as part-time yeah they think that you should work 6 days a week I wouldn't trust them to be an employee or a customer to I can tell you the manager at this location is a sleazy ass mother fucker who else it doesn't know what a map is and how to use it which is sad because he's in his 50's. read more

Don't agree to anything with a rebate. You won't get it. Waiting more than a year. Never would have agreed to this work without it.

A Home Depot referred A/C installer. I selected a Lennox from Home Depot's web site then sent me to ARS Denver who deceptively included an inferior Rheem AC. 3 times I asked for a copy of the contract via email. ARS never provided a copy. Instead of the requested Lennox they slipped in a Rheem. ARS is deceptive and unprofessional. Avoid this sleazy company. They also list the AC and installation at $12,000 for $4,500 AC unit. High end costs are $9,000. Talk about an over charging ripoff. Home Depot is also responsible for this con. read more

I had two different appointments with this company to get a quote for a new Swamp Cooler. Both times all I got were text saying that they would contact me before coming then nothing. I called never talked to the same person twice I believe they use a call service. Each time they said they would contact Crystal and she would contact me. She never did. As far as customer service I rate them as a negative 10 . I can't rate their actual work because all they did was give me the runaround read more

Really loved them parking in the entrance to my private drive, then getting bitchy/agro when I asked the driver to move only to have him move to a fire lane. I live in a private community. He was trespassing. Because I didn't feel like getting in an altercation I called their main office to have them removed. He did eventually move but yikes. Will be sure to never hire them and I see they have pretty crappy reviews here-may want to hire some competent people! read more

This is an update on my previous review 8/4/25. I have good news. ARS came out and to my satisfaction removed the electrostatic filter piece and refunded me my costs. Stephanie was pleasant and EXTREMELY helpful in resolving my issues. I am thankful for her time and support. Thank you ARS for resolving this issue without this getting out of control. That's an honest response to a difficult situation. This is the sign of a business that knows when to fix what happened and understand their clients. Thanks again. read more

I called ARS to fix my A/C unit about three weeks ago. I was told that parts needed to be ordered and that they would call when they arrive. About two weeks later I was told that a tech is on the way. Nathan arrived at my home with a bad attitude and was rude to my tenants. He called me when the service was "complete" again with a terrible attitude. I let him know that I could call back in 15 minutes when I was able to produce my credit card. Instead he left and sent me an invoice for $1,300. ARS was supposed to replace some electronics and clean my outdoor unit. Prior to the tech coming my MIE was functional with all of the lights on. After he left the MIE was shorted out, two fuzes were blown, and he jumped a few wires so that my A/C can only be controlled by disconnecting twisted-together wires. If you are looking for a technician that makes your issues worse please call ARS Rescue Rooter. I have called at least 3 times to speak with a manager and they seem to be too busy to call back. Stay away from this place unless you want exposed low voltage wires hanging out of your A/C. read more

I hired ARS/Rescue Rooter in August of last year after my nearly 20-year-old AC system finally failed. Based on recommendations from coworkers, I decided to replace both the condenser and the furnace since they were the original units that came with my apartment. Unfortunately, what should have been a straightforward installation turned into a year-long series of problems. The day after the installation, the system was running but not cooling at all. When technicians returned, they discovered wiring inside the furnace had not been connected correctly. I was told this mistake was causing fumes to circulate inside the apartment and preventing the system from operating properly. Over the following months, I had to call ARS back numerous times. In total, I estimate that technicians have visited my home around 15 times over the past year trying to diagnose and correct ongoing issues. I was originally told that the new system would improve efficiency and lower my utility costs, but my electric bill actually increased significantly after installation. The most frustrating part was how long it took to identify what appeared to be basic compatibility and electrical issues. One technician eventually discovered that the smart thermostat installed with the system was causing problems because its features were not properly matched to the equipment. Later, additional electrical issues were found involving the condenser and power supply. Every storm or power fluctuation would cause the condenser to shut down, leaving my apartment without cooling. To ARS's credit, they have consistently responded when I called. They extended my warranty and coverage, and service appointments were usually scheduled quickly, often the same day. I appreciate that they continued working on the problem rather than abandoning it. My concern is that many of these issues seem like they should have been identified during the initial installation and commissioning process. After spending a significant amount of money on a new HVAC system, I did not expect to spend an entire year dealing with repeated service calls and unresolved problems. I am giving 1 star because the customer service and warranty support have been responsive, but the installation quality, troubleshooting process, and time required to reach a solution have been extremely disappointing. read more

absolute scam company. They were assigned to install a new air conditioning unit by Home Depot a couple of weeks ago... coincidentally the first time I turned on my heater, which was attached to what they installed less than two weeks later there was a major problem with it despite working perfectly fine for five years. They quoted me over three grand to fix the problem. I believe they caused and when I said no, they charge me $400 in labor for doing absolutely nothing. If you do hire them pay very close attention to everything that works and doesn't work as soon as they leave. I fully believe they damaged my system either accidentally and refused to take ownership or on purpose to try and drum up more business. read more

While a bit pricey, they do.fantastic work. The 2 folks they sent out were friendly, and did a great job.

Do NOT recommend this company! The technicans work on commission, will upcharge you, state you need costly repairs/replacements and then they will pressure you with scare tactics to purchase everything to repair and replace the things that are not necessary. Then when you state you want a second opinion before finalizing any sales, they argue with you and refuse to put things back the way they found it. Was quoted almost $3500 for what another company stated should have been a routine cleaning/tune up! read more

Don't use this company. Clogged kitchen sink. Call Saturday - they say a plumber will be there in the afternoon. They call back a few hours later and need to reschedule to Monday 10-2. Monday no sign until I call at 4 pm and tell them we are going to call someone else. Technician shows up at 4:30. Snakes drain fixed the problem, identifies plumbing not to code, but camera guy is separate and will be back next day in the morning. Camera is included in snake cost. Next day, no sign of camera guy, call in afternoon and they reschedule for the next day. Camera guy comes over and does his thing, no major issues. Plumbing under the sink done incorrectly - needs better slope to the main line drain. Quotes $2,600 to replace the plumbing from garbage disposal to the main line, about 2-3 feet of plumbing / P-trap / connectors. Probably $30 of parts and maybe an 1-1.5 hrs. of labor for $2,600. Sound like a good deal? Straight up unethical on so many levels! read more

I had a very unsatisfactory interaction. I had called for a repair of a pulley on my swamp cooler and to take a look at fixing a small leak in it as well. The service man came out and looked at it went to get a part and then called back and informed me that it would cost approximately $1100 to do all the work. I said no thank you he then immediately reduce the number to $900. I still refuse to have the work done. When he came back to settle up, he called his supervisor his supervisor, then lowered the amount to $600 to do all the work. I still refused and paid my bill for them to come out. I then went and found the part that was broken and it cost $14. I will then do the work myself. I do not recommend this company. read more

On Superbowl Sunday in February, I contacted ARS to see about a problem on the furnace that my tenant had reported. The unit would kick on, but no heat was coming through the vents. ARS scheduled a service tech that afternoon, and by 2:00, arrived on site. The trip/diagnostic charge was $99, which was very reasonable. I wasn't sure and did not expect someone to be available on Superbowl Sunday. The problem, as I suspected, was the ignitor malfunction. The part, a small metal probe that creates a spark, was quickly removed and needed replacement. Trevor (service rep) had the replacement available in the truck, and was quickly replaced. We were back up and running within the hour and the unit was once again warming up. Overall, I was extremely pleased by the quick response from ARS and relieved that I avoided a potential nightmare. read more

Needed water heater, gas furnace and air conditioner replaced. For many years I used ARS with good success. Hadn't used them for about 5 years. Their estimate included no details, they have you sign it online on an ipad so you can't review everything. Their price was 30% higher but I was in a bind in winter with no heat, so went with them. Will never use them again. Just a company of a bunch of "managers" and no qualified technicians to actually get any work done. Over eight trips to try and get everything working and fixed. Then failed city inspection and more trips. And each scheduled trip was CANCELLED last minute and had to be rescheduled, or they just didn't show up at all. DO NOT USE, you will regret it as I did. They called at 3:30 pm and advised they were too busy with repairs to show up for the appointment and wanted to schedule it again in two weeks. Paid for a diagnosis on my non working ac unit. Low and behold it was a damaged capacitor on the top of the unit which was easily accessible. $79 to tell me this. Offered to repair the whole system for $800 up to $4000 and it would be working perfectly. $100 later and a replaced capacitor and back to normal. Then insult to injury, tried to suggest through multiple certified letters I hadn't paid for the "diagnostic" check up. Which I did. Which my cc statement shows. Which I told them. And three certified letters later, and threats of collections calling me this got resolved. Only took three weeks. If you have half a brain don't go here. Don't mess with Sylvia Davis or ARS. was billed for work and items that were suppose to be installed professional but was not installed professional and not installed at all. The expansion tank was never inflated to the proper pressure and the anode was never installed. The expansion tank caused the water heater to implode and cost us $10,000 to install a replacement. We called ARS and they refused to send someone the same day and when I asked to speak to a manager I was disconnected. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM AND WILL ROB YOU EVERY CHANCE THEY GET! Looking into filing a complaint with the BBB because ARS Rescue Rooter is robbing people. Within five minutes of looking at my heating and cooling system, the technician gave me "bad news" and claimed I needed to replace my entire system (condenser, furnace, and water heater). Excuse me... WHAT? He even had the audacity to start spewing figures like $18,000 (total estimate for everything was +$22,000). I was very confused because this same company serviced my system a year ago and replaced my thermostat before I purchased my condo. I had no idea of any conversations with the previous owner about the system needing to be "replaced." I told the technician I wasn't interested in replacing my furnace or water heater because both items worked perfectly fine. After "inspecting" my condenser, the mechanic announced it was dead and needed to be replaced so he gave me a quote for $10,000... TO REPLACE MY CONDENSER. Long story short, I got quotes from other companies that were HALF of what ARS Rescue Rooter quoted me. The icing on the cake? I fixed my AC for $75... A technician from another company came out and inspected the condenser. He also looked at my breaker panel and noticed the switch for the condenser was tripped. He inspected the capacitor on the condenser and noticed a kickstart (item used to provide additional power to the capacitor) was attached. I can't confirm that ARS Rescue Rooter installed the kickstart last year when they serviced my heating and cooling system but the kickstart clearly looks newer than the capacitor. The technician from the other HVAC company replaced the capacitor and the AC is working perfectly fine. I can't believe the technician from ARS Rescue Rooter quoted me $10,000 when he didn't even fully check all the components of my HVAC system. I should've known ARS Rescue Rooter was shady when the guy who booked my appointment didn't mention that appointments during the weekend are considered an "emergency," so you'll be charged more when a technician comes out. I was offered availability during the weekend so I booked it... I hope homeowners do their due diligence and get quotes from multiple companies so they can see how outrageously overpriced ARS Rescue Rooter is or they research this company and learn from my experience. Absolutely disgusting how this company conducts itself. PLEASE BE BEWARE!! read more

I purchased a rooftop evaporative cooler from Home Depot and enquired about having it professionally installed. I called Home Depot and they reached out to ARS to come by and take a look. Their project manager stopped by and produced a quote for $5,400.00 for a job that took about 5 hours with 2 people. Having no way of doing this myself I agreed to the outrageous charges. I explained that I would be home at 10am and to have them come by after that. They showed up at 8am when I was not home and proceeded with their work. I arrived home from having a medical procedure and was not able to climb up on the roof to inspect their work. They also said my existing motor from my old unit was no longer good. They said all they had left was to put the new motor in, once I got it. I ordered one from Home Depot for home delivery and it never was delivered. I drove to Home Depot the next day and bought one and brought it home. Now that it was a Saturday, ARS was not going to return until Monday to install the motor. With temps approaching 100 degrees that weekend, I got up on the roof to get things operational. That's when I discovered they put the cooler on backwards, meaning the service side now faced off the roof, with an 18" wide area to work on it. Any slip up and you are falling about 15 feet to the sidewalk below. They also did not hook up the electrical properly, explaining why my old motor would not work. I got out my voltmeter and hooked up the electrical and installed the new motor myself. The new motor was already installed before I realized they didn't hook up the wiring directly, so I put my older motor into the garage for storage. After I got everything working for the weekend, I called them on Monday to explain they installed the cooler on backwards and would like that fixed. I explained to their project manager that they could unbolt the inside mechanism and flip that around, rather than removing the whole cooler and flipping it. They sent their installer back out, again when I was not home to supervise, and he took the motor, the mount and the pully and flipped that around instead. The motor was now mounted on backwards, since the whole assembly was not flipped per my instructions, the air was now blowing the opposite direction. I texted my project manager and was now being ghosted. I called their main office and explained what was going on and they agreed to meet me when I was home the next day at 6pm. Again they showed up early that afternoon when I was not home and put the motor back on in the correct direction and proceeded to tell me that this was installed correctly. The installers excuses were that the motor would go bad if it's installed the correct way, and that when you drained it the water would hit the flashing. I asked him, how many times a year do you drain it? It's once a year. Rain water hits the flashing. These guys were lying and doing everything they could to convince me that they were right. So, I currently have a cooler that is still backwards, they ran a water line from my outdoor hose spicket and ran a line over the roof of my house, the float bobber does not work and constantly leaks water. This has been a nightmare experience and I would strongly suggest you never work with this company. read more

Their sales people tactics are car salesman like and very sexist. Really uncomfortable conversation with their sales guy. Also their quote was much higher and of lower quality than any other we received. I would caution people to have their sales people come in their houses due to the 1960's level conversations you will have. A few examples were "oh, you are the man of the house and you can make this decisions yourself", "your wife will be happy to have a warm house surprise", "you are the money maker anyway", "oh, your wife works?". And to close the conversation the classic "what can we do to close this deal today, let me call my manager"... I'm not buying a car and I'm not in a mad men episode... A tip for ARS; maybe realize it's 2022 and not 1960. read more

The first guy they sent out, instead of getting to the work, began asking questions about whether I had someone to do the remediation of the carpet. I told him I was dealing with it and he proceeded to call one of the companies he works with, in spite of me saying I wasn't interested. I kept telling him no, just do the work and he completely ignored me. I said to him, "Could you please get off the phone and just get the job done? You're wasting my time". He walked outside, ignoring me and continued his call. I immediately got a phone call from the business he had called. I told her I wasn't interested after she told me she'd send out a guy and she responded, "I already told him you'd call so you have to call him back". The plumber was there a very short time and told me he went out 103 feet and all was good. I asked him if he ran a camera out and he told me he doesn't carry a camera. I called the company back and asked them to send a camera out to check the work. This man was the only good thing about the whole experience. He came, was very professional, mild mannered and thorough. When the camera got to 63 feet it hit a root ball to which he remarked, "I don't know how a snake could have gotten through that." They sent out another guy to do the job correctly but didn't give him proper information, at least that is what I was led to believe. He showed up with an auger and said he was there to check the toilets. I explained to him the situation and he quoted me a price. I told him I already paid and he began an argument by saying, "I don't think you understand me, I'm not snaking anything without being paid", to which I replied, "I don't think you are understanding me I already paid and you're here to do the job I already paid for!" He finally agreed to do the work and said he would take the money from the first guy... I then had the camera guy out again to verify the work. this is a short version but you get the gist. read more

As an update to earlier reviews.....2023 has been another year where this company can't seem to meet any of their service guarantee requirements. I have a 3-year service plan and have tried to use it multiple times for regular maintenance and, in one case, an actual problem with my furnace. When I had an actual problem that shut the furnace down, they had a one-week wait. And for maintenance, they have now rescheduled or not shown up for their appointments 3 times. In one case, they didn't show up, call, OR reschedule.
