Spent the evening golfing with my father and we had a blast. The course could use some love especially on the tee boxes and the rough areas. There's also Bertie spots with random foliage that is in the fairway and hasn't been touched in a while. The greens are getting better from when I started my league. I do appreciate the staff at the halfway house/pro shop. They are always available and can sell you food, drinks, cigars, and other items you might need. Overall we had a great time. read more

Absolute worst value in WNY! $57 on a Monday at 12:45. Every few years I give this place another chance and every time I'm disappointed. This year was one of the worst! The tee boxes are the worst I have ever seen on any golf course. Forget uneven ground, many of them didn't even have grass! Just a sand and dirt mix. The greens are filled with ball marks that are never fixed by golfers or the grounds crew. The fairways are just tightly mowed weeds. The entire place seems to be run by teenagers. There wasn't an adult in sight. That said the only reason I didn't give them one star because at least they were courteous. I can't believe they charge almost $60 for a weekday round. They should be embarrassed! read more

I played there last week, because I remember liking the layout in years past. There are a couple of quirky holes(like 10 has a fairway to nowhere), but overall I still feel like it's a nice course. I understand some of the negative reviews, for sure. The first tee was backed up a couple groups deep and the round was slower than I would have liked. I think it took us 4 1/2 hours to finish. The greens were fine, perhaps due to all the rain we have had this summer. The rough was a bit high but not ridiculously so. All of the courses around here are north of $50 for a round so I don't understand the sentiments about the price other reviewers had made. It could definitely use more love from the grounds crew, but what public course doesn't, these days. read more

The course is an absolute disgrace. The owners should be embarrassed. I should of took pictures but other reviews covered that part for me. Good where do I start. Course is in conditions where 25$ with cart would be pushing it. They pack so many people on the course today that I was stuck waiting 10-15 mins just to hit everyhole. To 5.5 hrs for 3 people to play 18 holes...... at the turn they didn't even have enough food for everyone so didn't get to eat lunch. Take your 55$ elsewhere cause there is no excuse on how or why this beautiful course is not maintained. read more

I hope you are reading this BEFORE you go to Arrowhead because stay far, far away. First, it cost me $105 for my son and I to go on the course but this does include the cart. I'd assume for the cost the course would be nice but exact opposite!!!! The tee boxes, well you may as well tee off of dirt because they are horribly burned and all dirt. Also completely covered with weeds. It's been a dry summer so some bare spots are understandable but weeds are horrible and can be controlled. Fairways....a few are okay but about 3 are completely tore up with ruts the entire yardage looking like they are trying to air them and the rest are bare spot heaven. I'm not sure if they have watered at all because the fairways simply are in rough shape. Same goes for the greens.....literally some of them are about 1/10 dirt.....horrible. And the sand traps. While I understand courses are not leaving rakes for people these traps are simply unplayable. Again the weeds and upkeep of them are poor. Lastly, we were on hole 9 going toward the clubhouse and a woman was driving the opposite way down the cart path saying they were closing the hole because a wedding was going to be happening??? I've NEVER HEARD of this and we kept playing considering the cost we paid but I never heard of closing a hole due to a wedding??? I wish I took pictures because it was baaadddd!!! Too many nice courses in the area to play here. They honestly should be charging half price with the condition of the course! read more

New management took over April 1, 2018, and have already made significant changes. This is our 6th year playing in a league at Arrowhead. The course conditions are so much better, greens, sand traps etc. The restaurant is now open daily, menu changes and very friendly staff. You should give it another try! Michele K read more

At this point I'm just echoing the sentiments of other people who have been here, but if you're looking to spend more on a round to play a nicer course, Arrowhead is not it. You're better off playing Ivy Ridge. The course's layout is great and the first few years after this course was opened, it was amazing. But now you're paying over $50 to play on a course that's burnt out, including the greens, which are in terrible shape. The last time I played here was two years ago and after seeing pictures of the greens this year and how they haven't don't much to fix it, it's sad that they are still charging so much and barely doing anything to offer a better experience. The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars is because they have the wedding and banquet facilities figured out. They do a great job with weddings and other events. I just hope they can start doing a great job with the golf course again. read more

Course is very nice. Played league there in 2018 and found conditions to be consistently well cared for. New owners seem enthusiastic and engaged. Very attentive to customer feedback and looking to improve. Went out of their way to open kitchen on a Sunday just to make my 3some some wings. Can't wait to play in 2019. If I had to criticize anything it would be the bunkers. Very hard and in need of updating. Management acknowledged and said i was definitely on their list. Hoping for a great season read more

This was a horrible experience! This place is a complete rip-off at $59. The course is totally burned out, with weeds growing all over the place, especially the tee boxes. There were giant brown spots on some of the greens as well. They obviously are putting zero money into maintenance except for mowing. When we hit the turn, they had nothing available on the grill at 12:30 on a Sunday. Pace of play was brutal, with an especially slow group holding everyone else up. We were waiting to tee off on 10 for at least 20 minutes. There were no rangers monitoring anything on the course. My playing partner's cart died on the 14th tee box. No one answered the phone when I called the pro shop to report it, nor did they answer my text. Luckily, he was able to ride with me the rest of the way. I played this course at least 4 or 5 times a year - I will never play here again unless they step up their maintenance or lower their prices. This ownership group has ruined one of the best courses in Western New York. What a shame. read more

Golfed Memorial Day and it all started with checking in at the halfway house they call the Bistro. The club house proshop was not open. The guy that checked me acted like he didn't want to be there and was rude (a dick). He made an attempt to over charge me and when I called him out he became put out with me. The course was in terrible condition! They were charging $59 to play a hacked up wetland. The fairways were full of empty divots and hardly filled in with grass, sand traps were filled with weeds and not maintained. The greens were still recovering from aeration and pin placement was for a Sunday tournament instead of a feel good scoring holiday outing. The only bright spot was the great weather and company I had kept, which Arrowhead had nothing to do with. I will not be golfing there again. read more

Course was in good condition despite the rainy weather this spring. Cart path only was disappointing, but fairways, greens and rough had been cut. This place continues to improve every year with upgraded half way house now doing check-in duties...but I would be concerned with service if there is a rush of golfers checking in. Easily the worst maintained course in Western New York! Fairways are completely burned, the tee boxes are just patches of crabgrass and greens are burned and full of ball marks. No trash cans at any tee boxes. This course is a joke for charging $59 to play 18. I will never go back and wouldn't want my worst enemy to go here. Owners should be ashamed of themselves. They need to fix it or just close it down. I would give this 0/5 star if it was possible. Do yourself a favor and do not play here. Our league moved to Arrowhead this year and disappointment isn't strong enough of a word. No ranger to keep things moving, no league standings since we stated, the ghin card system is a joke, it takes 2.5 to 3 hours to get our 9 holes in and we tee off 20 to 30 minutes late every night. Later this summer we'll be finishing in the dark. If you're thinking of moving your league to Arrowhead DON'T!!!!!! read more

This place is a complete joke. Paid 54 dollars to wait at every hole for about 5-7 minutes. No ranger driving around. You tell the girl at the turn and she could care less. Spending time with friends and amazing golf is one way how to spend your weekend. Massive amounts of updates have been made to the course, including a new bistro at the turn, and fancy golf carts with USB chargers! The new owners have done an excellent job in going above and beyond for the level of service for the golfers here! I highly recommend this place to my family and friends! read more

This course has become a disappointment. Greens and fairways are burnt out. Most likely from watering during the hottest part of the day. The sunlight is being magnified by the water and burning the grass. Greens were aerated in July. Finally? Do to them scheduling groups every 8 minutes we waited on every shot. This included waits of 15-20 minutes on every par 3, and a 30 minutes wait between nines. I will most likely never play this course again. read more

Played on Father's Day and I thought the price was pretty steep $59.00 for the condition of the course. The Tee Boxes were burned out, the fairways had a lot of dry spots on it and the greens were so so. The golf carts were dirty and we noticed that 3 electric carts had broke down on the course and they were left out on the course. Very disorganized for a course that use to be a great course to play years ago. I won't be playing this course anytime soon. read more

Literally, golf anywhere but here. I golf frequently and this was by far the worst shape of any course that I have golfed. The tee boxes were sand and crab grass; the fairways were burned; the bunkers were literally filled with rocks; and the greens were burned and dead worse than any course I have played. I even emailed the course ahead of time(because nobody answers the phone) and they said the course was in great shape! In addition, it took us over 5 hours to play a round and a course ranger NEVER came out in an attempt to increase the speed of play. After our round, we inquired about the slow play and he basically said there is nothing he can do. And to top it all off, this abomination of a golf course cost $54 for a round! I feel violated! This used to be a great course but it is now a dumpster fire at a premium price. read more

Seriously one of the worst maintained courses I've ever played at, which is a shame because the layout is really nice. Have not been to Arrowhead in a few years. Decided to go back after learning that a new owner had taken over. Found that the greens and tees were is pretty good shape despite the severe lack of rain. The fairways were another story. Lots of very bare spots. Sand traps seemed to be well maintained. Will give this course another chance after some rainfall. read more

I attended a wedding at Arrowhead a couple of weeks ago. The eggplant was amazing. But, a red head girl walked around during the wedding going table to table with a clipboard. Really? I've always been a big fan of Arrowhead, reasonably priced relative to other options in WNY, however they have taken a significant step back this year, a previous review mentioned the condition of the course, I understand that it was a dry summer, but the condition of the fairways is simply laughable, muni courses in the area are in far better condition, it is simply unacceptable for a daily fee golf course. The most disappointing thing about my most recent visit is that I felt I was misled by management. When booking the tee time, I specifically asked if the greens had been aerated and was told that they hadn't and it wasn't scheduled to be done until the last week of September. We went ahead and booked the tee time based on this information, upon reaching the first green we discovered that the process had already taken place. It is unacceptable for courses to charge their full rate under these conditions which is why we asked if the process had taken place. We relied on the information provided by the staff and we were either lied to or the staff doesn't have an understanding of what is going on at the course, both scenarios are unacceptable. It's a shame because I've always held Arrowhead in high regard, but I will have to think long and hard about returning after this most recent trip. read more

The new owners don't care very much about the property. The staff all complain how bad it is to work there. The course is in rough shape. The kitchen staff doesn't even want to stay open for the golf leagues when they finish. The golf managers can't even run basic golf leagues. All the staff seem lost!
