I grew up in Akron and used to call Dande my home course for high school golf. I now live out of…read morethe area and haven't played there in a couple years, but I was really impressed with how far its come along when I was there this morning to play a round with my brother. The course was in amazing shape and they are in the process of adding a lot more to the practice area and they are working on running a cart path along all 18 holes. It's a little pricey, but seeing how they are doing what they can to make the course better, makes me feel like it's worth it to play there. They even have a PGA professional there now offering lessons and other coaching. I feel like they are doing a great job at being a great, more inexpensive option than going to Ivy Ridge or Arrowhead nearby. The course itself is beautiful and not too challenging. It offers a few challenging holes and there are no bunkers so it's honestly a great place for all skill levels.

The course is semi-links style, with some holes with tree cover. The holes are laid out well, with multiple options from the tee. As with most links courses, there are ample bunkers. The green sizes are generous, with tons of undulation. If you're far from the hole, no easy two putts. And then there is the wind! Wow - what a challenge. Downwind off the tee and then into the wind for your approach! Makes for a challenging day... This is a private club (founded 1969), whose sole purpose is golf - no tennis courts or pool here. If you love golf, find a member and go as a guest! Good range and practice facilities.

They are a part of the Tan Tara Golf Club. The venue is amazing. They say there are 3 things people remember about a wedding, the bar, the DJ and the food. As a non-drinker I can't give a personal observation on the bar but it did look busy and I thought the DJ was a bit loud and he did seem to keep the room jumping. I just want to review the food here. I don't know how familiar you are with wedding food but although good it usually isn't their best effort because they need to make so many meals at one time. Serving 172 dinners at the same time could be a problem. I'll start with the pluses. Between the ceremony and the dinner service, they set out "appetizers" that I could have made a meal out of. I actually had to restrain myself so I wouldn't fill up before dinner. There was shrimp, (always a favorite), broccoli balls, a cheese platter with a generous assortment of Pepper-Jack, Smoked Gouda, Swiss, Cheddar, and Provolone freshly cubed and served with assorted crackers and pepperoni, stuffed mushrooms, and other things I didn't have room on my plate to try. What I had was very good. After a short bit of socializing, it was dinner time. I had opted for the fillet for dinner and it was amazing. I chatted with Robert (?) the Executive Chef and told him how amazing the fillet was. He said the wedding party had upgraded the fillet to choice. Believe me it was worth it. When dinner arrived all my food was at the right temperature (a frequent problem at banquet halls). My wife got the chicken option and she said it was so tender she could cut it with a fork. I also had the vegetable medley and roasted red skin potatoes. There were also salad and rolls and butter. Overall it was a good meal with the meats holding center stage. What could use a little work were the vegetables that lacked pop that could have been easily provided by a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and the potatoes that were just that, potatoes. They needed a bit of flavor that could have been provided by a shake of garlic powder or Italian seasoning. Overall it was a great wedding and if anyone is going to have their wedding there, I will open up my schedule to attend. As a Banquet I give them an 8 out of 10 and will have to return for a private dinner soon,

I made reservations the day before, and when we arrived on a Friday evening, it was nice and quiet; we actually had the place to ourselves. Reservations are made by the hour, with a maximum of six people per simulator. The kids and their friends had an absolute blast trying all of the different simulator games. Their favorites were the lacrosse and football simulators. One thing to note: while they have a variety of sports equipment available, they don't provide lacrosse sticks, so be sure to bring your own if you plan to play. It's a fun, clean space and a great option when you're looking for an active indoor activity. I really hope more people discover this place because it's a fantastic addition to East Aurora.

His ability to see the smallest error in a golf swing is amazing and is always has positive support when working with you. He takes a interest far beyond the time he spends with you and will check in from time to time looking for updates he has taken both of my sons from beginners to competitive golfers and keeps it enjoyable the entire time. I cannot recommend him enough
