He has experience and we agreed and shook hands on the price. I helped pick out the color and texture of the material and I gave him a deposit. Don't do it Renee the owner is a dishonest man. He ruined my couch. I trusted him to upholster it but when he delivered it he tried to color match a damaged area that he did with a black marker. He also tried to ask me for an extra $300.00 because he said the material was more expensive than what he calculated. He promised me he would repair the damage area and pick up the couch and he never called or picked it up. We were fooled by him and I don't want anyone else to be a victim. He is a terrible man. I took my 3 bottom cushions to my couch that needed reforming and 2 6 ft long window bench cushions that I wanted new fabric covers for. I picked the cushion density at a medium and specifically told Rene a couple of times that "I don't want super hard foam because I was not a fan of it." Couch cushions were finished in a week and I went and picked them up and was super excited. Everything looked great, until I put them on my couch. The foam was cute completely wrong and had big pie like gaps between them. I was so confused since I gave them the cushions to use as the template. So I call Rene and he picks them up and has his guy redo them (who was not happy about it according to Rene) They came back fixed later that day and not only was really hard foam used that I told him I didn't want, but each foam piece is a different hard density. Seems like they used scrapped leftover pieces because of the loss they incured. Then I provided Rene the 2 6ft bench cushions that I had purchased the fabric and provided the pattern for. He wanted $1,000 to sew up 2 covers and I said that was extremely high especially since I provided everything. So as I proceeded to take them back home he dropped the price to $900. Then $750. Then $700. I told him I would do it myself and left. Then he called me later and said $600. Then $550. At that point I had already set it in my mind that I was going to make them myself. Because the one thing that I don't like is for a business to have random prices per customer with no sense of basic written estimation of a set price. To want to charge me $1,000 and haggle to half that totally turns me off to it. read more

I found Arrow Upholstery in a standard google search. This location is just shy of the corner of Arrow Hwy and Fairplex. The downside is that it is not easy to find parking and on the outside is not appealing to the eye as a place you may want to drop in to. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to work with Rene and how my pillows turned out. I used Arrow Upholstery to re-upholster my kitchen nook cushions including the 3 seat cushions (1 being triangle in shape) and 2 decorative pillows. Rene helped me quickly find a color fabric I was interested in and quoted me 4 days before they would be ready. The pillow were ready in less than 2 days and were amazing. We are so thrilled with how our two 20+ year old recliners turned out! We were on the verge of just getting rid of them, but then decided to get quotes for reupholstering. Not only did Rene offer competitive pricing, but he was extremely attentive and communicative. He was able to come by almost immediately for a quote, brought a TON of samples, and was able to take our chairs away and complete the work in three weeks. We had a slight hiccup with the color of the legs, but Rene was able to find the right stain we wanted and sent photos throughout the process. Once the chairs were delivered, they were beautiful. Horrible craftsmanship. I took in 4 patio chairs to be redone and had to take back twice and they are still worse than when I took them in. Owner told me they need to sit in the sun to tighten up the fabric. The sling chairs are so loose and sag that you sit on the cross bars of the chairs.
