I had already booked a medical transfer with Thrive for the original location, and I panicked. When my driver arrived, a little early, I explained to him that my appointment was not on W. 34th St. in Austin, but way up in Round Rock instead. On the spot the Thrive driver said, 'no problem', made the adjustments and got me to the further location ON TIME. And this was during morning rush hour without speeding like crazy (we were lucky with the traffic). My driver had been a professional driver for a few years, and he was very skillful. The car he arrived in was a very nice new Toyota XLE. Until this experience my track record hiring medical transfer people was pretty dismal. These people at Thrive are 'of service' and into helping people, and they were not expensive at all, unlike so many other medical transfer companies. Bricella, one of the owners, even answers the phone when you call--what a concept! This is my first and at this point my only experience with Thrive, and I look forward to hiring them again. So now they just cap your fare at 2 rides paid between 4am and 3:49am and the rest free. That's BS! So you ride at 5pm and pay $2.50, you DO NOT get a full day! No, he just kept waving for me to get on the bus and wouldn't answer my questions. So when I sat in my bus seat, I had to get on ChatGPT and get it to check the website for me. So while CapMetro is making the job easier for the drivers, they are getting worse at their customer service skills for the customers that are paying.
