I had a small move from Haddonfield to Collingswood. I was happy with the last time they moved me, so it was an easy decision to book them again. Same as before, a minimum of 3 hours for the truck and 3 movers - total of $600 minimum, plus tip for the guys. Maybe someone more anal than me would have demanded to see the contract before the actual day of the move. The move took place on a bitter cold day, the day before a predicted major storm. Joe kept in touch with me the days prior to make sure we were a go or if it had to be rescheduled. The boys were very nice and efficient. They rolled up my area rugs for me and moved my queen size bed frame without a hitch. They were very fast. My only complaint was that I asked them to arrange boxes upon unloading so I could clearly see the labels to make my own unpacking process easier. Many of them weren't, so that was a pain. We had an excellent experience with Aron Movers, and I do feel like we have a pretty qualified opinion since my dad used to be in the military and we moved like every two years. We have seen a vast number of movers and have a good idea of how things should go. First, Joe was awesome to coordinate with. He answered all of my many questions, worked with me to find a plan that would work and accommodated my requests, like an early start and adding a second stop at my sister's house to drop off a desk that she was taking. Unlike many movers, they actually almost sent too many people. They were so fast loading the truck that I actually had to ask them to take a 15 minute break because WE weren't ready to go yet, lol. They handled my dad's things respectfully, asked when they weren't sure and followed my instructions to a T. We did not have a single item broken, and the people who manage the community where my dad moved actually asked me for their info because THEY were impressed. Thank you Aron Movers for such a quick and painless move!! All during the whole Covid Crisis!! Who thought moving during a pandemic would be a great idea?? Well... this moving company was referred to us and we were satisfied with their services from start to finish! We are military and move around every 2-3 years, so we know a thing or 2 about moving. These guys were top notch and would definitely recommend to all our friends! Was able to book with dates that we wanted. They gave us plenty of packing materials so we can pack ahead of time to decrease the amount of time the movers would need on that day (they charge hourly, minimum 3 hours). On the day of the move, they showed up 15 minutes early and worked super fast!! I believe there was around 6-7 of them maybe?? A good group of workers, fun but still professional, started at 9:15am and they were completely done with the whole move by 2ish! We had some really heavy bedroom furniture which they took care of with care! No damage or anything to any of the furniture and no damage to our new house. They made sure to put things in places we wanted them. You can tell they wanted to make sure we were taken care of. Prices are very affordable. They'll give you an estimate based on how much stuff you have before hand and then readjust according to how much time they actually take. Was quoted for 3 movers, only 2 showed up. They broke an Ikea dresser by letting the back legs of it hit the sidewalk, but I let it slide and wasn't going to make a big deal out of it. Then they dropped a box labelled fragile because they stacked them too high on a hand cart, and the box fell from the top of the truck ramp to the street. Inside was an antique glass pitcher and other glassware. They noted it and said I'd be reimbursed somehow. Never heard from anyone, so I called the company back. A curmudgeonly man answered the phone and I voiced my issues (I felt I was overcharged because 2 guys finishing the job in 4 hours cost me more than 3 would have cost for 3 hours, and the broken pitcher and glassware). The guy was dismissive, said the office manager wasn't available and I'd get a call back. Months later, no call back. Definitely won't use Aron Movers again, and would recommend anyone else not to either. read more

Last email sent to Joe at Aron Movers and no response: After spending the last 4 months in treatment for my blood disorder, I am finally gathering the strength to compose this message. Your brother came out as you promised to fix the bureau your movers had broken. He was not happy to be here and I heard about the long drive. The movers bent the inside metal strips that the dresser drawers slid into. Your brother spent an hour or two trying to bend them back. He proceeded to tell me that they just weren't sliding correctly because of the age and use of the bureau. The bureau is only a couple of years old and is used by my grown daughter. The issues had nothing to do with age or usage. The movers did not know how to put the drawers back in and jammed them in there. They weren't even opening, and the movers knew that before they left. The bureau was expensive. When I questioned new brackets for the inside your brother said that would be very expensive and that then it may not work at all if the new pieces did not line up correctly. Then in the next breath when asked a question, your brother would reply "I don't know, I am not a furniture repair person." So am not really sure why he was trying to fix the bureau if he wasn't a repair person. To this day the drawers do not slide correctly. Before he left that day, I asked him to call you. He said that I hadn't taken out insurance (I didn't know the movers would not know how to put drawers back in) and that there was insurance that was like $1 per pound and I would have to call you about it. The dresser was moved into my home by the furniture store (drawers were not removed) and then moved from out of state to NJ and not only were the drawers not removed, but the clothing also remained inside. I asked the movers not to remove the drawers and they said that was the only way they would move the bureau. Since it had been a hot day when we moved, I had the air down to 60 degrees and had cold water, Gatorade, and snacks on hand for the movers, I also refrigerated their snacks and personal drinks. I told them to take breaks if they got overheated. I was more than kind, they even said I was the first person who treated them that well. I also tipped each worker $100. There were more than the drawer issues, but I let them go; however, after the awful experience with your brother and extreme lack of professionalism, here is a list of all the issues. 1. The movers broke the lightbulb in the basement while the light was on and I almost got electrocuted when I returned to the house and reached up to turn it on. 2. The banister to the 3rd floor was broken off. 3. Inumerable scratches to my wood floors (I only told you about the ones at the new house.) 4. I told the movers my daughter was in the upstairs bathroom with our cat, however, some of them decided it was ok to continually call our belongings "sh*t" and a waste of time to move. The majority of things were my deceased mother's. 5. Not only did they leave the jacuzzi cover behind, but they also left a small fridge on the 3rd floor and before we all left, I asked if they had grabbed it and was assured that they had. 6. When they went to move the jacuzzi, the tire on the hand truck was flat. They told me how cheap you are and that there is only one for the company and they had repeatedly told you that they needed a new one. I was calling neighbors trying to find a pump. I did get a whole earful about you not supplying them in general with the proper tools they need for moves. 7. One truck took an extra hour and a half to show up at the new house. I was told they must be lost. The movers at my house had to sit here and wait because they needed to unload the other truck first. So I basically paid for an extra hour to an hour and a half just sitting here with one truck and half the guys. 8. Every single box was labeled with colored duct tape and every room, basement, garage, etc had a "color." All the movers were asked to place the boxes in the rooms that matched the colored tape. The boxes however were placed in whatever room the movers decided to put them (and a lot in the garage because that was the easiest for them.) I had to pay to have other movers move boxes all around the house to get them in the right place. As one of the two main moving companies in the area, I would expect more. And to be completely honest, I was really trying to let all of the other issues go. However, after being treated the way I was by your brother, the only decent thing I can say about Aron movers is that the consult with you was good, and the one mover was good. And unfortunately, the damage to my house, the new house and my belongings, as well as having to pay to have my boxes moved to the correct areas of the house, far outweighs the good. read more

I can't say enough great things about the team who did this move! They were professional, friendly, and extremely efficient. They also were innovative in figuring out where to put the moving truck when a Philly driver violated the street permit, intended to reserve their spot. The move was in-town in Philly and they navigated the ins and outs of the city extremely well, including moving to a narrow, one-way street and into a house with very narrow doorways and stairwells. They even offered to put furniture back together for me at the arrival spot. And - everything fragile arrived in one piece with no breaks, cracks, or damage at all. Amazing service, especially during the COVID pandemic. They made it easy to get an estimate. All I had to do was take photos of each room and send it. They got back to me the next day with a very reasonable quote and gave me multiple options for which day they could come and pack us up. They also gave me multiple examples on how I could save money on the move, which I was able to take advantage of. If I could give negative stars I would. They were almost 5 hrs late to move my mom It was the day before her real estate closing. Dave who is the owners grandson showed up. Completely Unapologetic!!! Arrogant and rude. When I called him out on being late and his terrible attitude he threatened to leave and said "I'll leave and not even move this stuff!" Knowing we had to be out by 430.... what recourse did we have at 2 but to let them start the move. NEVER AGAIN!!! I would strap a table and my back and crawl to another place. Expected more. They were late almost one hour. There were enough people, 4 men for one and a half bedroom. Still, it took them almost 4 hours with 10 minutes drive between apartments. They were nice and strong boys, but no experience or tools or covers for anything. I gave them my tools (what I had). Expensive leather sofa is scratched and ripped on a few places, tables and chairs are dented or scratched. Box spring is broken and ripped as well as bed legs. Everything was dirty and dusty from the truck, good thing is I had cover for mattress. They didn't even know how to transport my TV so I put it in my car. Maybe I'm spoiled by 3 previous companies that helped me move, but honestly, movers were nice but their work was not. And someone recommended them to me. read more

Aron Movers helped us move locally in South Jersey recently. They came over to look around and give a estimate which was very reasonable considering the quotes we received from other major companies in the area. On moving day every worker was friendly and professional. They efficiently packed all furniture and boxes in truck including carefully handling dishes and glassware. I was very impressed with the attention to detail with ensuring any furniture with doors were secured and those with movable shelves were disassembled with hardware bagged. The movers also followed our directions, placing our furniture and boxes where we requested. Not a scratch on anything! They even put new bed frame together for us and made recommendations on which items would and would not fit in basement. This was our 3rd house move with professional movers over the last 30 years, and our first time hiring Aron Movers. Our experience with Aron was quite mixed - they were strong in some ways, weak in others. The strong points: the estimated price was pretty close to the final cost; most of the staff worked very hard and were pleasant. The weak points: they should have hired more men - we had a large house and the men were overworked. Aron misplaced several of our items and were very slow to locate them, and even slower to deliver them to us. Several pieces of furniture and other items were scratched, dented, or broken. All in all, we'd give them a grade of C. They're just OK. They need to work harder to maintain their reputation. read more

I was already moved into the new place a couple weeks and my girlfriend hired Aron Mover's to move her stuff in as well. They were nice and efficient. 4 days later I noticed that my container filled with roughly 50 to 100 dollars in change on my office shelf was gone. This was also where I kept my social security card. I called Aron Movers knowing that there was no way I'd get my change back or my social security card because that would involve someone admitting that they stole it. I more just wanted to talk to the manager to share my situation and let them know that this happened, hopefully resulting in some awareness that one of their employees might be stealing from customers. On my first call I shared my situation and was told that the manager would be in Monday and they would call me then. The man took my information and I waited. After receiving no call by Wednesday, I called a second time and asked for the manager. This man said he was the manager so I went over the situation with him. Once I shared that, he said he was not the manager, and that the actual manager would call me tomorrow. So after waiting another few days I called a third time. I asked for the manager again, and this guy also said that he was the manager. So I explained the whole situation again only to have this guy then say he's not the manager and his brother would be in another day and he was in charge. Another week has gone by since and I'm not going to keep calling when they don't intend on taking any responsibility. I don't think I'll ever be able to actually talk to someone who will agree that they are the "manager" after hearing that I had my money stolen by someone on their team. Needless to say, we will not use Aron Mover's again in the future. tldr: Had my money and social security card stolen. Everyone I try to talk to when I call claims to be the manager until they hear that I have a complaint and then get rid of me by telling me the manager will call me back later. Aaron moved us from our home to a storage facility two months ago. They were pleasant and courteous but I certainly would not recommend them. Upon moving our belongings from storage recently we realized that they were very sloppy. Boxes marked fragile were crushed and several items were broken inside carefully packed boxes. There were long scratches on two wooden pieces because they were not properly protected. Even though we provided blankets and padding for storage they were not used. Our storage unit was large but items were flung on top of each other and not carefully stacked. During the move, the movers were extra chatty, increasing the move time. I noticed that you didn't address the owner (older gentleman) who yelled, cursed and hung up on the client. Leaving her standing in a parking lot with a storage area full of furniture that wouldn't fit on the moving truck. If your truck wasn't big enough then another should have been sent. The owner called on Saturday to speak with the clients fiancé who had left him a message about how he spoke to his girlfriend, he did not all the client back, he apologized for being so "stressed" when he yelled and hung up on the client, but other then a verbal apology offered NOTHING. read more

I have used Aron Movers twice. The first time I used them in 2016 went well so I decided to use them again for my move a couple of weeks ago. For the most part, things went fine however after a couple of days I realize I was missing 6 shelves from my container store wall unit. I called the manager and he said that he believed this was highly unlikely. I reiterated these could be easy to miss if lined up against a wall since they are simply flat wood boards and not boxed. He said they would "check the trucks and call me back". One week later still no call. I called back and he said they didn't have them check my stuff again. He was very short and rude and frankly unprofessional. I will never use or recommend this moving company again. I already paid them so I feel as though I have no recourse and just need to repurchase these shelves. read more

Called for a price for moving and asked them to bring enough boxes. The guy brought me some and said to call when I needed more. Asked if they could be included on the moving bill just like other times that we moved. They said that was fine little did I know when I called for more boxes they wanted all the money up front but said that there was a 15 percent restocking fee for the boxes thatIdid not use. We moved in January and hired this "family" moving company to move our belongings from two storage lockers to our new residence. Some of the movers were very courteous, while others were just brutal. Boxes marked "Fragile" were crushed and some furniture was badly damaged, but not noticed until after they left. While searching for my 2 tool boxes the following day, they were BOTH missing ! They were full of Craftsman hand tools worth hundreds of dollars. We contacted the main office and were given the run around for days before being contacted back. They said they would ask the drivers / movers if anybody saw the tools. (Of course not !) They mailed us an insurance form to complete which we did. This is now August and have yet to here from anyone regarding this matter. We contacted the office again to see where it stands and they advised us "It's out of our hands now". Used Aron to move today from a house to a storage unit. The crew was professional, friendly and very hardworking even though we were the second move of an extremely hot day! They handled all of our bins, boxes and furniture with care and were very diligent in following our instructions about the placement of the items in the storage unit! Aron moved me into a new apartment last week and I cannot stop raving about the experience. They were estimated to arrive between 9-930am and they showed up promptly at 9am and quickly and carefully loaded everything up and were done in 30 minutes! I had been worried that I would be dealing with kids who would be attempting to stretch the time or mishandle my items or take breaks and that was not the case. My movers were extremely professional and courteous and did an amazing job. The move was projected to take 2 hours and they were done in 90 minutes. There were a few items they were concerned about - they thought they might have to cut my box spring and they thought it might be a challenge to get my couch into my new place.
