The facial was really wonderful and relaxing - no intense scents, super calming with some massage in there that was awesome. We then had individual massages by Tracy. Unfortunately that was not the greatest, WAY too gentle, WAY too much oil, and hardly felt relieved nor relaxed after - I kept thinking "when is this massage going to start" even after for more pressure. My partner had the same experience as well. I would totally be open to going back if there were other massage therapists though I will say, given the amount of $$ I was really hoping for a better experience.

I've been going to Risa for almost a year now and wanted to give her a review so others in the Poughkeepsie area can benefit from especially if your having a muscular issue. I'm not into going to one of those cheap places as they are not licensed and don't know what they are doing or spas that you pay a lot for an okay job. I work out a lot and my job is very physical so receiving a medical sports massage from Risa has benefited me. Risa's office is in a professional Chiropractor's office above the Credit Union and has her own comfortable space. Risa has really helped me with low back pain and golf's elbow immensely so thank you!

Then one day I found AromaGee. When I say it's been life changing, that's an understatement. Gina is of course an expert at her craft, but new addition John has a spectacularly bright future ahead. I had an unbelievable session with him yesterday. It was dreadfully beautiful from beginning to end!! He listened to me, my needs, but most importantly, my body!! He could tell exactly where my problem spots were without me having to say much. What made the session is even more priceless was that John is into energy work and that is exactly what makes him so in tune with his clients and their needs. If you're ready to have your life changed and live pain free, this is the place for you. John, as well as Gina, is into energy work and that is a game changer when you are looking for true recovery and healing.

When I went to use…read morethe gift card, there was an issue because the internal system the gift card was purchased on was no longer their system--okay fine. The manager issued me a replacement that was good for 30 days, meaning that I could book on that new system for up to 30 days. I tried---Lord did I try! First, I tried to book on the website which was down. Then I called in an was told that they couldn't book for me since the "manager wasn't in an wouldn't be able to honor the gift card until she was in". I wrote an email and got ZERO response. Zero. I called again and nobody picked up to the extent that I ended up calling the spa to ask if the place was even still in business. I tried every other day until the 30 days expired. I am pretty sad about this since I have the timestamped emails, the original gift card, and I tried to book on both the website and by calling and by requesting a reservation via email. It was an unfortunate waste of a $300.00 gift card. I don't think this is an ethically run establishment, especially after they refused to honor the original gift card as well as the 'replacement'.

As soon as the session ended, I asked for a moment to get dressed, but I felt rushed while still trying to have privacy. When I came out, she was standing there expecting payment right away. I said we could go to the front to pay, but there was pressure in the moment to handle everything immediately. She insisted on cash for a tip after I already paid the service fee, which I wasn't prepared for. The interaction felt very forceful and uncomfortable, especially at the end of what was supposed to be a relaxing experience. Overall, the massage was good, but the way payment, tipping, and privacy were handled afterward was very unprofessional and took away from it.
