I needed a Vietnamese coffee fix and saw this spot just opened not to long ago. Interior is cute with decoration accents to represent Vietnam. The menu is nice and small l, Vietnamese restaurant menus are usually at least twice the size of this place because you can use the same ingredients for a lot other dishes. But a smaller menu does make things easier. Service was fast and great. I got my Vietnamese coffee and it was fine, it's was strong but not sweet enough for me. To give a reference, I love Lee's coffee and I grew up in San Jose. There was something going on so my fiancé couldn't order a rice dish, so she got spring rolls instead and asked for it without prok and they were accommodating. Spring rolls were tightly wrapped and ratio to her salmon, noodles, and shrimp was on point. Dipping sauce my fiancé like, It went well with the spring roll. I had the Bun Bo Hue. Every time I see it on the menu I have to get it, its my bench mark for a restaurant. For me it was decent, not bad, not great. It wasnt spicy at all, but still alright. I like to have my nose a little runny while tasting the broth. There was a lot of noodles, meat ratio was decent. Overall experience was good, but I would like to come back to try the rice dishes. This place has potential and I hope to get to try it again before we leave Omaha.

Very nice! Already came here twice and I was impressed both times. The menu is small(not necessarily a bad thing), but I have tried the pho, bun bo hue, and the bun thit nướng cha gio. All of these items were delicious! I also tried the tra vai(lychee tea) and it was so good too. However, the banh mi thit nướng was okay. Bread could have been crispier and the meat could have been seasoned more. Service was very friendly and the food came out decently fast. The first time we went, they even gave me a complimentary dessert sample to try as well. The atmosphere of the place is very relaxed, modern, and homely. Good place to bring the family or a couple friends.

A Hidden Gem in LaVista! I can't say enough good things…read moreabout this Vietnam restaurant in LaVista! Every time I visit, I leave completely satisfied. Their pho is absolutely top notch rich, flavorful broth, tender noodles, and fresh herbs that bring everything together perfectly. You can tell they put a lot of care into making it authentic and delicious. The egg rolls are another standout. They're always hot, crispy, and packed with flavor. Easily some of the best I've had anywhere! Beyond the food, the customer service is excellent. The staff is always welcoming, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. They really make you feel at home. And a big plus the inside is always clean and well kept. It's a comfortable space to sit down and enjoy your meal, whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout. Highly recommend this spot if you're craving great Vietnamese food with a warm, inviting atmosphere. You won't be disappointed!

The vegetables were barely cooked and still quite crunchy, and the noodles were practically dry. Doesn't drunken noodles usually come drenched in a yummy sauce? We're visiting Omaha, NE for the weekend and was looking for a good pho place. We decided to give…read morethis spot a try since it wasn't too far of a drive from the hotel we were staying at. We did read through quite a bit of reviews and we figured that since a lot of reviews were older, perhaps there are some improvements so we gave it a try! I do have some thoughts and wanted to share a current review on our experience today. Pro to Food: We ordered 2 bowls of their beef Combination Pho. We absolutely LOVED how flavorful the broth was. We didn't have to add any additional sauce to the broth to enhance the flavor because the broth was already super tasty. Like many other reviews, the broth is a little bit more oily than we're used to seeing BUT we cannot deny how great the flavor was so that's a huge bonus which is why we didn't mind the "oily" broth! It wasn't too terrible. Just a little more oily than what we've seen at other pho places but it's probably the liquid gold! Cons: - lack of meat in both phos. Our bowls of pho had very little amount of meat so that was a disappointment. I didn't count how many slices of meat/meatballs but it was a lot less than we're used to. Several other reviewers said that same thing about this issue, but we were hoping that since it's been several years since those reviews were posted, perhaps things have changed but sadly, it's still the same. - pho sizes: they only have one size. It would've been nice to have different sizes in case someone had a bigger appetite. - ambiance/cleanliness: The entire place needs remodeling (walls, floors, paint). They need to remove all the chairs and tables, sweep and mop everything thoroughly, and then put everything back. It looks like a place that just opened and is still needing a lot of work. - TV: They had a TV that was playing a video shooting game (like Roblox). I have a feeling that this was more so as entertainment for the owner's little ones but as a customer, I thought it was inappropriate in a restaurant setting to have something like that playing in this restaurant space. I'm a mother as well so having my little one there while trying to enjoy my meal and trying to keep my child from not watching something like that was a juggle that I didn't appreciate. We did see the "Shortage in staff" sign at the front of the restaurant (by the entrance) so we are sadden to see that due to shortage in staff, they're not able to get things where they would like it to be. Hoping that in a few years, we'll see some improvements if we're ever in the area again! Overall, would I recommend this place? I'll say, maaaaaaaaaybe (only for the broth). There are a lot of things that can be improved to make the place more inviting & the experience better. We have a favorite pho place where we live so that is the standard that we look for when we're trying other places but we always like to keep an open mind and try new places especially when we're traveling. The pho broth here is phenomenal so hats off to the chef!

Saigon Restaurant has been around forever. I always remember driving by it and seeing it, but had…read morenever been in to eat. A friend had their birthday there recently - and unfortunately I was not super impressed. The interior looks similar to the outside, like it's been there for a long time and because of that, is a little run down. The service was great, especially since we were a large group. They were keeping all the drink and food orders straight, which was impressive. I had an appetizer and chose the Pate So, which are little puff pastries filled with a protein and delicious sauce. I loved these. I also had the meatball soup, which was pretty flavorful, but almost clear, so it didn't seem to have very much seasoning in the broth. And then for my entree, I picked the Sesame Chicken. It was kind of dry chicken and also in gigantic chunks, so was pretty hard to eat without doing surgery at the table. Ugh. The one other plus (aside from the service and Pate So), is that they are pretty inexpensive. So Saigon Restaurant has some good options, but others are not as awesome. It's a little dated inside and out, but the service is excellent, and you won't spend an arm and a leg. For those reasons, I still recommend trying them out, because you may find something you do like and not overspend on it, in case you aren't a huge fan.

Also can be nosy so not ideal if your looking for intimate vibes. It was also so busy with takeout orders as well - which I cant blame anyone for! The food tops it all! This is hands down the best thai in omaha. I have a friend that has tried many thai places here and recommended this place to me. We always go with the pad thai but definitely want to branch out next time we go. It is a little on the pricier side but thats what you get for high quality food. With a steady stream of people picking up to-go orders, we had a bit of a wait to be seated, but all things considered, he handled it well. I ordered the Pad Thai, which was just okay. The noodles were overly soft, the portion of meat was skimpy, and it leaned too sweet for my taste. That said, everyone else at the table seemed happy with their meals. Our biggest complaint was where we were seated--right by the front desk, where the phone rang constantly and no one ever picked up. It rang non-stop throughout the meal, which made the atmosphere feel stressful rather than relaxing. My advice: if you're not going to answer the phone, unplug it or forward it to voicemail.

Heads up, soft drinks come in a can so no free refills here, but water is available, thankfully. I treated myself to a strawberry lemonade with popping dragon fruit boba, and let me tell you, it was fantastic. Definitely getting that again. We started with crab rangoon. Service was a bit slow, even though it was not too busy, but the rangoons were worth every second. For the main event, we each grabbed a large bowl of pho. One special, one steak-only (mine), and one chicken. I love that all the sauces, utensils, and extras are right on the table. The broth is what makes pho, and theirs did not disappoint. The noodles took a little work, but everything came together perfectly. And the plate of sprouts, cilantro, lime, and jalapeño lets you doctor your soup just the way you like it. Lunch came to about $37 after tip (I covered the rangoons), which is a little steep, but considering I got a craft lemonade, a pop, a large soup, and plenty of leftovers, I think it was worth it. Honestly, the quality and quantity more than justify the price. I'm even starting to welcome colder weather just so I can enjoy this soup more often! I will absolutely be back.
