I grew up in the 'ville, but I've only eaten Arni's a few dozen times. I'm not sure why I've not been there more often, as it's one of the best cheapie food places in town. I had lunch here with my little bro (a Wabash student) this week. A Jr Salad (basic salad w/ham, turkey, cheese & assorted veggies), two orders of breadsticks & cheese with 2 drinks for around $11. The food came out quickly and piping hot. I'd also recommend their pizza (yup, very similar to Pizza King) and their stromboli sandwiches. The people are normally friendly & it's nice to frequent a locals place. It gets a little crazy at lunch from time to time, though, and it's a strange layout, so it feels even more cramped...no matter, once you've had your fill of carbs. :) read more

Best pizza in the earth! If you like thin crust pizza don't bother going anywhere else. Just stop at Arni's!

My mother doesn't come back to Indiana very often, but when she does; she has some pretty explicit instructions for what she wants to eat while she's up here. At the top of her list is Arni's Pizza in Crawfordsville, and I'd have to agree with her on this. Although my grandmother has attempted to re-write history by reminding me how much she cooked when I was younger, all I can remember is pizza. I also believe my grandmother is the main reason there were so many pizza places in Crawfordsville when I was growing up. Arni's came around after the Pizza Cottage closed, but it's one of our favorites now. What makes Arni's different? For me, it's the crust. Unlike some of the other chains, the crust is flat, salty and thin. Like crust? Eat somewhere else. It's here only to serve as a delivery method for the cheese and toppings that are piled on top of this wonderful crust. It's delicious, and I find myself eating 5, 6 7 (or more) pieces of this pizza. In town and wanted pizza and husband wanted a burger . I got the BBQ pizza and it was wonderful, think sloppy joe on a light, crispy crust, with lots of cheese. Also got their special salad. Husband liked the burger (disappointed they don't serve fries as was on website picture). Everything was good. Will go back next time we're in town! read more

This is the absolute worst Arni's! Now don't mistake this for senseless ranting. My husband and I absolutely love the Arni's in Indianapolis and Lebanon, that we recommend it and swear by those locations as a place you can never go wrong. First, this Crawfordsville location had the most limited menu, and even though I may have ordered something special order, it was not a very complicated item (grilled chicken, bbq sauce, mozzarella cheese, and tomato sandwich), but they still got it wrong. Second, this place has the most audacious staff, and not in a good way. When asked by a server if there was anything else he could get us, Zac pointed out that at other Arni's the Jr salad came with a piece of bread, and if it would be possible to get that. He said "oh well yeah." All was good, he went back to the kitchen only to return with a basket of breadsticks, placed it down and said that's going to cost you $3 extra. Otherwise he would take it back, because they don't serve bread with salad in Crawfordsville."....Are they smoking something in Crawfordsville, because you don't tell a customer it is ok, then end up charging them and give some lame excuse!! Bad customer service, bad business, and mediocre food. No thank you, Crawfordsville you can keep your crappy Arni's. I'll take the Indy and Lebanon locations any day. read more

My boy loves a broccoli n cheese pizza. They make the best He said. I had the hamburger a few times. I cant explain how good a pizza oven burger taste. The Jr Salads hit the spot. Lot of classic pizzeria style samiches. Definitely a home town favorite. read more

Just doesn't agree with my stomach. Someone once told me that you have to eat the food really fast or chew the Junior salads a certain number of bites in order to not get indigestion. That's too much trouble for me! I'll stick to food that doesn't require a side of Pepto! read more

If Arni's really is the best in town, I weep for you Crawfordsville. The crust would had been better if Chef-boy-ardee made it. The sauce tasted like it was straight from a can whith no seasoning what-so-ever. The sausage was dry and flavorless. Will definately not be returning. read more

I was visiting Crawfordsville with my two sons. After zip-lining at Indiana Zipline Tours ,we stopped in at Arni's after reading the good reviews. We left half our pizza uneaten without boxing it up to take back. The crust tasted a bit burned. I love thin crust but this tasted like cardboard. The sauce was too sharp with a strong oregano flavor--again--tasted more like straight tomato paste with seasonings. I wasn't impressed, nor were my hungry boys, who unfortunately left hungry too. read more

It's a little pricy but delicious!!! Love the gut buster, (with extra bbq) breadsticks and cheese small inside but big enough for the small town. The pizza is delicious but can't get too many toppings bc it's pricy. read more

My girlfriend swears by this being one of the best pizza places out there, and they delivered! The service was friendly and inviting, the restaurant itself is such a small charming place; I love it. Now, the food, is divine! We ordered a large pizza 1/2 with mushroom and olives, and 1/2 with double sausage. My first bite was a bite into heaven. The crust was perfect, the mushrooms and olives tasted so fresh, and the cheese was amazing. We also ordered bread sticks, and they were so light and fluffy; I've never had a better bread stick. The nacho cheese they serve it with is a nice touch as well. Arnis lives up to its hype, and I can't wait to go back and try some of their sandwiches and amazing salads :) read more

This place is CHEAP. And I mean that in the best way possible. The best thing on the menu is the Junior Salad. The salad dressings are homemade and wonderful. The pizza is really good midwest-style thin crust. The sandwiches are really good, better than how they sound on the menu. The food comes out really fast and very fresh, and take out orders are always accurate. One of my favorite places in Crawfordsville, and right next to Wabash College. read more

I love Arni's. This is by far the worst one. Garlic bread costs extra and was so burnt, it could not be chewed. The cheese with the breadsticks is not any good either...tastes spicy unlike any other Arni's. If you want Arni's, drive to Lafayette or Lebanon! read more

Salads are gigantic. The pizza is fine. My only complaint is when ordering a pizza with say sausage and pepperoni, there is a ton of sausage and only some pepperoni. I would like to see even amounts of the toppings. read more

On a Sunday afternoon motorcycle trip we found ourselves in Crawfordsville. Saw Arnies with lots of cars outside. As we walked in there seemed to be a lot of to go orders. The tiny eating areas were crowded, but plenty of room for us. Tossed salad was huge and good! The sandwich too was good and HUGE. Great place to stop. read more

I'm always amazed to find out people like the taste of arnis pizza. The cheese is poor quality, the "meats" are hardly meat at all. If by sausage you mean textured vegetable protein mixed with the scraps of meat left over from quality cuts, then this place is for you. The "sauce" is tomato paste. I prefer a little more to my pizza sauce than only paste. The only reasons for why anyone in the town of Crawfordsville likes this pizza is because it reminds them of their childhood or they go there because for some unknown reason lots of other people go there. Great pizza, great cheese sauce, bread sticks are nice and soft and not chewy. I would highly recommend the burger. Sounds odd, but they have a wonderful burger. Starting to get a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. It isn't a low quality pizza place. If you want that, there is a place for that. But if you want some crunchy crust, nice and saucy pizza with generous toppings, stop by. It's worth your time to try them. read more

The only thing that differentiates a $17 Arni's Pizza from a $5 Pizza from any other pizza place is the incredible ground pepperoni. However, they have become extremely stingy with it, and it is impossible to get a good portion of pepperoni regardless how adamantly you request it. Even if you ask them to substitute extra pepperoni for the sausage, AND pay for extra pepperoni on top of that, you'll still get only a smattering of pepperoni. Since it has become almost impossible to find any pepperoni on a standard pizza, and since requests for extra pepperoni result in exactly the same amount, I'll be buying the $5 pizza's from now on cause it just isn't worth the difference in price anymore. Owners - get a clue here - I'd be willing to pay a lot more if your employees would make a pizza according to my specifications, but they don't. read more

I am a long time fan of Arni's. LOVE their pizza. This Arni's in Crawfordsville gives the entire chain a bad reputation. The customer service was awful, the girl who took our orders was very unfriendly. They did not bring our meals out together - so my husband was done with his and I had to wait on mine probably 15 min. after he was finished. Very noisy and crowded. Not the Arni's I know and love in Lafayette. If the Lafayette Arni's is still connected in any way to the one in Crawfordsville it's a shame. #haveneverbeensodisappointedinarestaurant read more
