They also had to redo the labor under warranty due to a severely leaking rear main seal, even after supposedly completing the job the second time. This was also my second attempt to get this shop to stand behind its work. My first attempt dates back to March 28, 2026, when I was told I had to pay a $279 diagnostic fee for the same issue related to their original work -- which I refused to pay and instead sought a second opinion. After finally getting them to honor their warranty on May 5, my truck is still in their shop due to ongoing shifting issues. I've been given every excuse: "I'm sick," "we're short staffed," "other vehicles do this too," and the worst -- "try not to drive in a way that makes the issue happen" -- straight from someone who indicated, he's part owner. Seriously? That's not a fix -- that's avoiding the problem. The work has been sloppy, the communication terrible, and the problem still isn't fixed. I don't know if there's been new ownership, high staff turnover, or just poor management, but this shop seriously needs to get its act together. I have very little faith this shop will fully correct the issues with my vehicle related to the transmission they've installed. I will never return and strongly recommend others avoid this place!

Anyhow, ECJD made their decision not to work with me, although I reached out to them multiple times, and they all knew me for many years. So selling my Jeep for 10K is not going to cut it. Since I'm sure once I would have sold it to them, they would have slapped a 20K resale sticker on it because summer is just starting and all the many extras I installed on it. This Jeep was in immaculate condition and there was nothing wrong with it in any way. I will not be out to ECJD again anytime soon because of their lack of working with long term customers, and they don't care about their clientele. I reached out regarding a few trucks as I was out of state and moving to the area and was contacted by Gary Van Auken. Gary was so communicative and professional as we went back and forth looking to find a truck and deal that made sense for my wife and I. He actually found a truck that had come in that I had not seen which was fortunately still available when I finished my move. Everyone was extremely friendly to work with and quick to the point. Once I had my truck selected I came in to pick it up and spent about an hour and a half finishing paperwork and finance details. I look forward to servicing my truck with Art Gamblin and hopefully will be able to catch Gary in the office some as well. I will never buy another vehicle from Gamblin Chevrolet. I purchased a 2024 Chevy 3500 that was…read morelisted as "certified repaired" after GM had previously acquired it for a faulty transmission valve. After having the vehicle less than 2 months and only 1,800 miles, the exact same valve failed under warranty. I was told the repair part was on national backorder with no ETA, some vehicles already waiting over 3 months. They also said they wouldn't have a loaner for me for at least 10 days, and any loaner was not allowed to be used for towing (this would severely impact my job). Gamblin refused to unwind the deal or do a straight swap, only treating it as a standard trade-in. They took over $3,400 in immediate depreciation off my original purchase price after just 51 days of ownership, then upsold me a smaller 2500 2025 model that was $5,500 more expensive with less features (lost my center console, tailgate step, running boards, roof lights). To add insult to injury, I tried to negotiate removal of the $200 doc. fee on the 2nd truck (considering I had just paid that weeks prior), but was told that the fee was mandatory and non-negotiable, which is actually misrepresentation by law. They also locked me out of retrieving my belongings from my trade-in vehicle (for reasons their own service desk contradicted the next day) and I had to make a completely separate trip back to the dealership. Overall it was a terrible experience. This dealership took full advantage of a defective vehicle to maximize their profit at my expense. I could not recommend them less.
