They sent a pistol to a liquor store ups pick up location instead of my FFL. Pistol also had cosmetic damage and missing mags. Today after waiting 2 weeks for my ammo order I decided to cancel order. Beware of items sold here - likely to be incomplete. Purchased FN stock. Received stock and realized it was un-installable. So I started looking at it more. I called FN directly - they said they would never sell this item without these parts. Arms Unlimited swears it is authentic and is just the way it comes. I guess they expect you to just tape it together. When I tried to return they wanted me to again pay for more shipping and a restocking fee for an incomplete item. I do not feel that this was fair and tried to get them to do right by me but they would not! Paid for a used police trade-in rifle that was in stock Friday, received the email for my FFL even though they have an FFL selection when you go to check out. Monday morning I find out they canceled my order because I didn't send them an FFL over the weekend. They sent me a email saying there sold out of the item. Horrible business practice, literally the woman I talk to on the phone, had an attitude and didn't care whatsoever. Ordered a package from these guys, got lost in the mail so I shot them a message asking for assistance in filing a missing mail claim being it was an 800$ package. The only assistance I received was basically a go screw yourself we shipped it so not our problem anymore. Luckily it came in before the month and before I filed a charge back on them. Purchased an Ops Core FAST SF Bump helmet from them in ranger green. Next day a sales rep called to inform me they were actually out of stock of the green, but would still honor my order and payment if they sent me another color they had in stock. They ended up going above and beyond sending me the Multicam version which costs about $40-60 more almost everywhere, and came in less than a week of placing my order even with the Labor Day delaying shipments. I ordered some items from here as they offer some really good package deals and specials on items. The ordering process was easy enough although part of my package deal was on back order (which I was fine with for the price). The big concern I had was that I never received an email or any update on my account at their website that my package had shipped so I just got a big surprise of the package being "delivered." For those of us that live in places like New Orleans and many other places package theft is a huge problem so it is very IMPORTANT for us to know when our packages have shipped and when to expect delivery as otherwise the package will generally just get thrown at our doors and end up being stolen soon after. Other than that concern this is a great store with some great prices and a good selection. Overall this is a nice place to find some needed items at good prices with a bit of a caution on their shipment process that I hope was just a random mistake. read more

My first review was mysteriously deleted without any notification, so let's try again. I ordered a police trade-in black EOTech G33, which was in stock on 13 Jan 2025, and my card was charged 524.26 on 14 Jan 2025. After a little over a week of not seeing a shipping confirmation even though my card had been charged, I called to find out the order status, as they usually ship within 24-48 hours after my card had been charged. I was also calling in an attempt to get the order moved to my new account since my previous account was under a compromised email, and I had placed this order without making a new account. The lady who answered informed me that there were no longer any black G33s in stock. There were only tan ones, and one of those could be sent to me. If I had wanted a tan one, I would have ordered one. Aside from offering a tan version, there was no effort to correct their mistake. She made no offer of a discounted new one or any other form of substitution. I was then informed that it would take 7-10 working days to refund my money, which was an inconvenience as that money was tied up, preventing me from purchasing another at a similar price from someone else, which is now also out of stock. So, my card was charged for something that was either out of stock or someone else ordered after me when it was out of stock and received my order while I did not receive what I ordered. Company uses deceptive tactics on specific product. Most websites list specifics for an item especially a popular item. This company raised the original price of the item to match the price of the items higher end model. Then discounts the item down to about normal price for the version/model the item is. The key is once you get the item and realize it's not what's ordered you have a 15% restocking fee. So they now have $127 out of your pocket with out them earning it what so ever. You're either forced to keep the item or return it and lose over a hundred because of their deceptive tactics. When asked about it they respond with oh we have a 15% restocking fee. Bought an item from this company and it did not come as described in their ad. Specifically it was an AR15 upper. It arrived quickly but was missing the manual & had a standard A2 flash hider mounted on it when it was supposed to have a muzzle compensator. Calling this company was to no avail so I emailed them. I received a snarky reply about the missing manual & that I was mistaken about the compensator when it clearly stated in their ad the upper was equipped with a muzzle compensator. Their CS was very cavalier about their mistaken & false ad and offered no courtesy other than ship it back. My advice to all would be to check with this company " first " before ordering to find out if the item is as described in their ad. I feel compelled to write a review of the distasteful customer service I received from Arms Unlimited. I am a resident of CA and placed an order for ammo. I received an order confirmation and the charge showed up on my credit card. Three days later I inquired about the status of my order and was told that my order could not ship as the laws in CA prohibit them from shipping with a FFL dealer on the receiving end. Fair enough. Being frustrated by the lack of communication and the inability to have the ammo shipped to me, I asked for my order to be cancelled and a refund to my CC. I also said that it would be nice if there was a popup or a note that was triggered when I put the state of CA in the shipping address. What I received back was a snarky email from Mary telling me that I should be better educated about the laws in my state as it is all over the news. Then they apologized to me for my lack of awareness. Fortunately for me, my life does not revolve around firearms, they are a hobby and a tool to protect my family, not a way of life. I have purchased from Arms Unlimited in the past (when they had a location in Torrance, CA) and like the product they sell. I thought it was a long shot to get the magazines I've been spending weeks trying to find due to high demand (you understand.). I placed a large initial order thinking "Well if I get it, cool, but I'm marking the days." and I received my confirmation. WELL....well well! So I printed it off and hung it in my office so I would be sure to check on this first time order with this site. They sent updates letting me know they may encounter fulfillment issues due to demand and delivery strains (They are keeping up with current events. So someone IS at the wheel.). Then I had the delivery track star (I never see them drop it off?!) delivered my package. I had my "Pulp Fiction" golden case opening moment when I saw my order, stacked, secured, and packing slip 100/100. Not great in terms of customer service. Bought an ambidextrous magazine release for my AR that wouldn't hold the magazine in - installed it exactly as shown in the video on their website, tried various tension levels, and my AR worked fine after re-installing the stock release. When I told them all this and asked about a refund, I got quoted their return policy which was that I'd be out a 15% restocking fee, the return shipping, and the item had to be in the "original packaging" (which was an unmarked, small, Ziploc bag?) If I was returning something that I just changed my mind on, that'd be one thing, but this is a gun part that /just doesn't work/ and is therefore dangerous. read more

I've purchased thousands of dollars worth of goods from Arms Unlimited. Something must have happened to them (new ownership perhaps?), because now they are defrauding customers. They are mis-advertising goods, shipping them out, and when customers try to return them, they tell them there is going to be more than $100 in restocking fees - never mind that the products were inaccurately described/sized. But here's the thing, the return policy is not disclosed (even in their click-through terms and conditions) to customers. So, it's a huge risk if you aren't 100% certain about sizing, compatibility, etc. It's a shame to see Arms Unlimited become the "Sprint PCS" of the firearms world. read more
