We actually used our neighborhood's Facebook group to see if there were recommendations that people had used, and sure enough, Great American Concrete Coating (GACC) was a name that popped up a lot as recommended from other homeowners. When my fiance reached out to the company, Nathan was quick to respond and was actually able to meet us same day. He came over and looked over our garage, while telling us stories of other nearby garages and projects he had worked on, complete with pictures. He assessed our garage floor, made recommendations, and tested moisture at the threshold which had some moisture damage from how the home builders had set it up. We gave us a quote, we picked some flake colors, and he got us set up with a date only a week away from when we first met! Because we had to do a bit more when it came to concrete prep/repair, the job took up two days (1 day of cleaning, fixing, and prep, 2nd day for coating). He communicated well every step of the way and was very efficient and thorough with each step of the coating process. We had full confidence in what he was talking about and what he was doing. When it was all said and done, our floors looked absolutely amazing. The moisture damaged garage threshold was a crisp, clean line, and the flake coverage is 100%, leaps and bounds better than what you'd get in a DIY kit. He was an absolute pleasure to work with and 100% professional in both mannerisms, personality, and the work he does. We have zero regrets in choosing GACC, and it is 100% worth what we paid for, for the peace of mind of having this professionally done and knowing this will stand the test of time! This seemed daunting to me and had kept me from getting my floors done for a while. Kim, Fastlane's owner, assured me that Fastlane would be able to make all the necessary arrangements. They seamlessly arranged a storage pod and white glove movers to get everything out of my garage and into the pod. She stayed in constant communication with me to keep me aware of everything and ensure everything went smoothly. Rod came out to show me the flooring color options. He explained the differences between epoxy and polyurea so I could make an informed choice, and he was knowledgeable and patient while I narrowed down the colors. Are they the cheapest? No But they did a great job, and they…read moreare cheaper than all those ads you see on IG. I did find another company a few days before they were going to start through my water guy for 800 less, but they couldn't price match them. I already felt bad about giving the go-ahead to Craftsmans, so I just took the loss on that one. Talked to Richard regarding the coating. I did some research online, and people recommended you get the polyurea/polyaspartic coatings instead of regular epoxy out here due to the extreme heat we get. His 2-man team comes out early in the morning, and they take 3 days to complete the job. Richard comes by a day or 2 before they start so you can see the colors and flake options he has to offer. I just know people online DON'T recommend black at all because if you ever do work in your garage and you drop something, it's gone... can't find anything in that colorway. I chose a light grey with medium-sized flakes. 1st day, they diamond grind and patch up any cracks or chips they see on the cement surfaces, including stem walls, and put a base coat. Second day, they come and put down a second coat of the color you chose and the flakes that you chose. 3rd day the come and scrape off excess flakes that didn't stick and put on the final polyaspartic coat. Every day you have to leave your garage door cracked open to let it dry and air out. Also, so your garage door doesn't stick to the coat before it dries, make sure the week ahead is a dry one with no rain before you do the process. I did let it dry for almost a month before parking or doing anything in the garage to let it COMPLETELY dry and set. Richard did say the longer the better. For the prices they send you the bill with the CC fees already added, but if you pay with bank transfers you just have to subtract the CC fees yourself before paying, which can be confusing for some. I ended up paying 3700 for my 3-car garage with stem walls to be coated with poly. Only gripes I have so far are that I wish the final Poly coat was a little thicker; in some parts the flakes stick out a lot. Also, the color I chose, you kinda have to mop the floor often; marks show very well and kinda get dirty quick. Sucks for me cause I have OCD. Other than that, time will tell how well this coat stands up to the test of time. Since this is a poly coating and not the epoxy, this should hold up for a very long time. Richard also did mention that if there are any issues, just send him a message. So far, everybody who sees the garage they compliment on the color and flake scheme that I chose.

Very Disappointing Experience - Poor Quality and Lack of Follow-Through…read more When moving into our newly constructed home, I wanted to do everything right from the start. I had the house painted before moving in, had the water softener and filters installed, and decided to have the garage floor coated with epoxy. My painter offered to do the garage floor for $600, but since it wasn't his specialty, I was hesitant. I ultimately chose Craftsman Coating, even though they charged nearly twice as much, believing I was paying a premium for professional workmanship and a quality finish. Unfortunately, that was not the experience I received. It appears that the clear coat was never applied over the epoxy. I didn't discover the extent of the problem until three years later, when I purchased a new vehicle and began parking it in the garage for the very first time. The first time I pulled the car out the following morning, the coating had pulled right off the floor, leaving four tire-tread patterns of exposed concrete. Beyond that, the floor was getting marked up and discolored from everyday foot traffic, despite mopping it exactly as my neighbor did with her garage floor. Here's what makes this especially frustrating: my neighbor moved into her new home around the same time we did and had our painter handle her garage floor. He purchased the materials at Home Depot and did the work himself. Her floor turned out beautiful. She has parked her vehicle in the garage every day since moving in, and to this day, her floor remains shiny, clean, and free of scratches, stains, and discoloration. The difference in quality is remarkable, especially considering I paid nearly twice as much for what I expected to be a professional job. During the first year, I even recommended Craftsman Coating to another customer. Through that experience, I learned the clear coat is supposed to be applied on the second day. My garage floor was completed in a single day. While I cannot say with certainty what was or wasn't applied, the one-day installation, combined with the coating failure and premature discoloration, raises serious concerns about whether the job was completed properly. I contacted the owner to explain my concerns and request a floor evaluation. He promised to send someone out to inspect it, but no one ever showed up. I gave plenty of time because I didn't want to be a nuisance, and I followed up by text multiple times. My messages went unacknowledged and unanswered. This is overpromising and underdelivering. For me, the biggest disappointment isn't just the poor performance of the floor coating. It's the complete lack of follow-through after I gave the owner a chance to address the problem. I paid a premium because I trusted this company to do the job right. Instead, I was left with a floor that looks worn, discolors with ordinary use, and has coating that has already peeled down to the concrete. I believe in a fair exchange: a customer pays for a service, and the business stands behind its work. Mistakes can happen, but a reputable company should be willing to evaluate a legitimate concern and make an effort to resolve it. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Craftsman Coating. The finished floor quality has been disappointing, and the lack of communication and follow-through has been even worse. I wish I had gone with my painter's original offer. I would have paid less and, based on my neighbor's experience and what I can simply see with my eyes, I could have ended up with a much better garage floor.
