This establishment deserves a review. I've been shopping around for a Miami Curb Link chain for about a month now. Everywhere including the jewelry shop at the NEX has their items marked up sky high. Paul (the owner) assisted me this afternoon and when I asked him for what I've been searching for, he had a piece that I can honestly say is better than what I've have my mind on. This is what impressed me, he weighted the 18k chain on a scale and priced it based on what the current gold price is. This is how these commodities of value should be priced. Every other jeweler in town didn't even have a scale in the shop, everyone knows that gold is based on its weight. In my eyes, this business is by far the most professional jeweler on the island! Wow! I took my wedding band and diamond engagement ring, plus another diamond ring to have them sized up and Mr. Armbruster did a WONDERFUL job. Did an outstanding job of fixing my mother-in-law's engagement ring about 7 years ago. Some of the best work I have ever seen.

I needed to get my engagement ring resized so I searched online for a place I could take it to. Majority of the ones I wanted to go to unfortunately closes by the time I get off of work. I saw that this place was open on Saturdays so I hopped on it, only way to go. I read in previous reviews that it didn't take very long for them to have their ring resized and even got it back that same day. Unfortunately when I went in, I couldn't pick it up until Tuesday. I honestly didn't mind because I wanted it to get it taken care of ASAP. Was I bummed that I had to be apart from my ring for a few days sure, I had just gotten it! Anywho, I was able to get off of work early to pick it up that Tuesday and was sooooo pleased with the outcome. My ring was not only resized but beautifully cleaned and polished and not to mention for an awesome price. I would definitely go back for future needs and recommend this place. read more

Mr. Armbruster in Aiea is a European trained goldsmith & does all jewelry repairs & such in-house. I just had my wedding band (with channel set diamonds which, I've read are inherently difficult to size-up) diamond solitaire engagement ring & a diamond cluster ring sized. He did an amazing job. My wedding band has an engraving on the inside & he made sure after the gold was added that the engraving was redone. My rings look like brand-new. The diamond cluster (which is an antique that I inherited) actually looks better than it did when I dropped it off. There was always one stone that was darker than the others. When I got it back, they all looked the same! I'm not sure if there was a stain under it or what but its fixed & I'm a happy camper. I could have taken my engagement ring & band to Kay Jewelers, where they came from but 1) they have a ton of negative complaints & 2) they send all their repairs away (and being in Hawaii, that means back to the Mainland). I was not overjoyed with the idea of some of my most prized possessions going back to the Mainland without me. He's just the sweetest little German man (maybe I'm biased being married to a German), as is his wife. Ya gotta check the place out. read more
