This store is great when they start marking everything down each season. I found a brown leather belt that was just what I needed. I only paid $9-$10.00. As a customer who shop here for many years, I think that this store is a very good one. Armani Exchange made some items I only get from them. But with that being said, things went down a little. I personally do not like when the shirt/jacket screaming I am from Armani Exchange. Because the designs are really nice, just the BIG LETTERS of Armani Exchange are too much. read more

I think this store only gets four stars from me because it's open almost every day of the year including Christmas Day and New Years Day as well as Christmas Eve and New Years Eve until quite late. It's definitely unlike other stores and for some reason smart enough to know everyone will flock to an open store on those days when all the other stores are closed. It also makes me feel better that AX doesn't stick its nose up and think its too good for the general public by closing early like some stores on 5th ave. Their clothes are relatively good quality although not always the best fit but they have plenty of friendly staffers and massive piles of clothing as they seem to be constantly having a sale all the time now. Great store, and plenty of apparel to offer. You can purchase when they have sales, and they have plenty of sales to offer during the week. It's conveniently located in front of several stores. Avoid this tourist trap scamming tourist by selling inferior goods off a has-been designer name. I bought a simple white t-shirt with a really cool pattern for $60 (a ridiculously high price...I know) however, little did I know that with one wash...lemme repeat that--ONE WASH...both underarm holes blew out like I was washing a 25 year old rag. Super cool pattern but one wear and done at $60...For Fools Only! SHAME! No wonder the CEO is no longer with AX...they sell lint to suckers for $60 a pop. Shameful that I actually have 20 year old t-shirts that hold up better than this disaster of a t-shirt. I attempted to speak with someone at the store and was told it was not a manufacturing flaw it was wear and tear. What a bait and switch swindle...avoid, avoid, avoid! Whoever thought that making clothing stores night clubs with really...REALLY loud music should be forced to wear apparel from Sears for the rest of their lives. Turn down the damn club music to a normal volume, I am trying to buy pants, not drop acid and dance until 5 in the morning. Anyway besides that "infernal racket" annoying the hell out of me, I got some great shirts for the summer at a reasonable $30 a pop (down from $88). As a 25 year old with a Platinum AmEx staying 3 weeks in NYC without having to pay for a hotel and as good as no food, i spent quite a lot of time and money here and in AX SoHo. One would think a company of this caliber would take responsibility for their mistake but i was horribly surprised with heir response. 1. 3 attempts made to speak to the manager, declined any resolution 2. Promised to respond in 48 hours and it took entire week 3. No apologies offered for poor quality and a huge error on their end, no explanation, no quality control measures and no apologies 4. # responses all claiming that there is nothing they would do and would not take the return because I tired them on to send them picture so they can see their error. 5. I love this AX location, it's way better then other ones! Every time I come here, they always have something on sale. On the ground level is women's clothing and on the lower level is men's clothing, women's sale items and men's sale. They have anywhere from 20% sale up to 70%. I purchased a large handbag for 99$ and some great tops for 19$. They usually have t-shirts for 20-30$. I love quality of their clothing, and for that price can't get any better! I rarely get out of the store empty-handed! read more

I'm proooobably a little too old to be wearing AX merchandise, but believe it or not, you can find really good stuff in this store. Clothes that are fancy looking and not at all cheesy. The price tag is also not that bad considering what you are getting. Dresses go for $120-$160, can't beat that. Check out the store at 5th. I come to New York every year with my mother to do some Christmas shopping and sight seeing. This was our first time shopping at the Armani Exchange and I must say how impressed we were. I bought 3 beautiful sweaters for my father who is pickier than the average woman at a very reasonable price. Aside from the great selection the staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant. I had went here on the 24th, for christmas presents. When I was trying on a sweater, I left a gucci scarf inside of my coat, under all of my items that were on the table. When I went to try on a coat, I asked for a size. It took around 10 minutes to get just one coat that they said "was a popular item." I had then gotten the coat, and I tried it on. I then took it off and put it aside from my items, and the workers took it quicker than I had gotten it. I noticed then they stopped walking around the table. I checked to see if my scarf was still there- gone. I asked the worker where my gucci scarf was. She said "I don't know" instead of helping me, so I was forced to ask a manager. I asked if they can look over the footage. They said the camera footage rewinds 40 minutes. At that point, we just walked into the store around 30 minutes ago. It took around 15 minutes for them to look at the footage. She told me "the cameras are not angled towards the table so we couldn't see anything." I asked to see the camera footage, and they said "sorry, store policy, we cannot let customers in. We aren't responsible for any missing items." That is ridiculous, at this point I knew it wasn't just some random who took it. Who would do such a thing on Christmas Eve, especially at 5th Avenue? Armani Exchange? Seriously? It HAD to be one of the workers. Then I asked her to record the footage on her phone. Instead of recording, she just took 2 pictures. 2 pictures of the same footage, same feed, same camera, didn't even pay attention to the other camera that had a full view of the entire room. She only showed me 2 pictures of a camera that pointed away from the table, then she said it was MY FAULT that I had my scarf stolen, meanwhile it was perfectly hidden inside of my coat, and under my items. Keep in mind, she's the manager, and she's looking at me like I have four heads. Her excuses were absolutely ridiculous, like "its store policy", "it isn't my fault", "we are not responsible for stolen items". I was this close to calling the police on the store. I know it was one of the workers, because they didn't even make an effort to search for the scarf. They just looked in the same place like 50 times over, and it took them a painfully ironic amount of time to look at just one camera feed. Had such a good experience here I tried to find the email of a store manager to let them know, I couldn't so decided to sign up on yelp instead just to write this. I'd been to AX in soho on labor day saturday. Attracted by the big sale signs as it's not a brand I'd ever paid much attention to. it was such a mad house that I couldn't get into the mood to shop. I don't think any store could handle such a volume of people while providing assistance and attention to everyone so I can't hold that experience against it. Then checked out AX on 5th on the tuesday while working my way down the avenue. No big sale signs outside but it turns out a lot of the merchandise was on sale. I was assisted by Jessica and she provided a shopping experience for me equivalent to the high standard of the $850 for a golf shirt "big brother" GA store a few blocks up. (No I didn't buy the golf shirt, but it's always fun to look!) Several other sales people also came up to ask if I needed any assistance while I was browsing so clearly this is store policy. The cashier was also really friendly Got some really great items and the sales made the prices very reasonable. Walked out of the shop with a smile from ear to ear. As a tourist I shop on 5th avenue for the experience of it. Walking into the next shop (no crocodiles mentioned) and not being acknowledged by anyone, I figured I might as well just buy their stuff from macy's and get a better price. read more

The quality and the design of the clothing line at Armani Exchange has definitely changed since the change of ownership. However I still like to stop by ever so often to see if they have anything that I would like. Since I was in NYC and shopping on 5th Avenue, we decided to stop by Armani Exchange. All I have to say was that the clothing was mediocre, but the service from NICK was great!! Seriously!! He was so attentive and honest with his opinions. He made sure that we were well taken care of and made valuable suggestions and listened to my likes and dislikes in certain colors and styles. I was there last week and I was treated poorly by one of the Latin American sales associate with short hair. I asked to try on a leather jacket and the first thing that came out of her mouth was "oh do you know it's $375"? I should have said do you know you're a sales associate? I should have asked to speak to the manager. Sales associates should know when to talk and when not to talk. You're not there to help people with their finances. So people when you're treated poorly next time ask to speak to the manager. No one should be treated this way. Please start treating people better. read more
