The reviews…read moreseemed decent, so I felt comfortable bringing in three items for dry cleaning, including a $400 coat that needed a small repair. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The seamstress was not there when I dropped of the coat, they said that she will look and see if she can fix it and let me know by phone. I then find out that she "fixed" my coat without consulting me first, claiming the repair was necessary for the dry cleaning process. In doing so, she actually made the tear worse and ended up ruining the coat. When I tried to address the issue with the staff, the situation only got worse. The employees became defensive, rude, and belligerent. The interaction escalated to the point where I felt uncomfortable and unsafe in the store, as two male associates were behaving aggressively. I haven't even evaluated the quality of the dry cleaning yet, but at this point it's hard to say the service was worth the cost of a ruined $400 coat and the unpleasant treatment I received. It's especially disappointing because I had hoped I'd found a reliable dry cleaning and tailoring service close to home.

While there were a few that seemed worth trying, Sun Ray Dry Cleaning did stand out and I figured I would try this place. I ran over one afternoon to drop off a brand new suit jack. The person who meet me was Simon who was a very nice younger guy that just was a pleasure to talk to. I told him the stain was either had a lamb or olive oil and that I didn't exactly what it was. The stain happened at a wedding and to be honest I think someone bumped into me which was why I didn't know exactly what it was and I think the methods change depending on what the stain is. The stain was pretty large, and I was worried that it was to late. He said they would try their best and they might be able to get it out. A few days later I got a text that my garment was ready and when I picked it up, the stain was completely gone. He said they did have to treat it several times but they got it completely out. I couldn't be happier. They will have my business for the foreseeable future as this was such a great experience and I have been looking for a good dry cleaner for a while now. As a side note, you do pay for your garment when you drop it off. Something that I haven't really done before but it isn't a bother. Just if you pay cash that might be good to know.

For how much and what I wanted done, it was so inexpensive for a great work ethic. I wish I took a before picture of the dress but take my word for it, it was sloppy, I would have to hold the dress up for it to stay. On top of that I was looking for a matching pocket square and bow tie but couldn't find one so I asked if it's possible to make it out the train she had cut off and she said she could try. As result she was able to and it was ONLY $30 for both!!! I bought pocket squares and bow ties online that I thought was like the purple for $50. Nadia ruined my custom dress and has refused to refund my money, even after I waited over 3 months. She never provided me with progress pictures despite multiple requests, and I had to repeatedly chase her just to get updates. When I finally received the dress, it was nothing like what I had ordered -- the materials had stains, the design instructions were completely ignored, and the outfit was completely unusable. When I asked for my money back, she refused. Despite owning two stores, she claimed she didn't have a penny in her account to refund me. After she ignored my texts, I was forced to visit her store in person since my sister's Nikka (wedding) was only 10 days away. At that time, she promised to return my money. However, after waiting several more days, I had to call her again -- only to be told that she "couldn't afford" to refund my deposit, even though my dress was not made to the pdf of details. The color is not what we agreed upon in person or in the document of specifications I had sent. The tailoring ignored the requested neckline with picture examples given. The style itself is of a completely different design than the examples shown in store, despite being given sample pictures as well in the garment details pdf. This has been an extremely stressful and disappointing experience. I would strongly caution anyone from trusting this business with such important orders.

I think the owner asked me if I wanted it to be tighter or looser in the alteration (?), and I said looser. Turnaround time was four days I think, and pricing seemed reasonable enough. When I came in to pick up my clothes, everything was done but when I saw the shorts I was a little bit startled because the alteration had been done with what seemed to be an elastic band, causing the back waist to be ruched at the waist. This is not what I was expecting, _however_, when I tried them on I actually decided that the look was really comfortable and surprisingly cool! I think the look goes really well with the shorts and in hindsight it's probably the best thing that could have happened to them! So in short, didn't get what I expected, but in fact was better than I imagined :)

She responded to my request very quickly and I stopped by her place the next day to drop off the outfits. She was very detail oriented in identifying the alterations that needed to be made and gave me the price ($80 to take in the waist of two skirts and alter the two blouses) that evening. She completed everything within a couple days and at pick up even made some last minute changes. I would definitely recommend Sarada and I will be back if I ever need anything else to be tailored!
