Because the windows are located high on our second-floor back wall--directly above an outside aluminum patio cover--it was a challenging project. To ensure safety and prevent damaging the lightweight patio cover, the team skillfully performed the entire installation from the home's interior using scaffolding. Throughout all phases of the project, the entire team at Andy's Glass was incredibly professional and executed this difficult replacement perfectly. I want to give a special shout-out to Peter, the project estimator, as well as the hard-working installers, Miguel C. & Eric. Last but certainly not least, a big thank you to Angela and the rest of the inside sales team for their excellent support!

Walked into Ameristar Riverside where windows are manufactured, spoke with Martha, production manager, before estimate. Got a brief tour of facility Looked at window samples. Several of the windows in my home face due south. Although they were double pane, they had almost…read morezero insulation remaining after 25 years of massive sun. The temperature in the south facing bedroom on a hot 90 degree plus day would always be nine degrees hotter than the rest of the house. I decided to replace not only the four windows in the south facing bedroom, but six other windows that can be viewed in the same field of vision from the street, to keep the aesthetics consistent. The replacement windows I selected are double pane argon gas filled to help keep the heat out during the summer season. I put out a bid on Yelp and narrowed the field down to two companies, Note I did not select the least expensive bid, but actually selected the most expensive bid. My reasoning was a solid five star Yelp rating, BBB A+++ rating and the knowledge and excellent follow up provided by the salesperson, David White. Other factors in my decision were silver coating on the glass to reduce the intense green hue that most argon gas filled windows exhibit and exterior window casings that are solid without decorative ribs that would collect dirt. I was provided with a detailed explanation of the process and same day estimate. The process from start to finish took five weeks. This would have been as little as two weeks if I did not have an arch top window. Curved windows take longer to build, at least for Ameristar. It took me a while to prepare the two rooms, so I was not in a big hurry. The installation was done yesterday. The crew was on time, polite, and from my view, was extremely careful and exhibited excellent attention to detail. The 10 windows were installed in one day. The crew cleaned up their mess very well and everything went according to plan. I am completely satisfied with the entire process. The windows are very elegant looking, not so green and make the house look better. I trust that the temperature in the south facing bedroom will level out with the rest of the house with the argon gas in the windows. Five stars all the way. Well done.

During installation, Andes' workers were prompt, courteous, did excellent work, and even had to come a second time because a window from the factory had been scratched and the office sent it back. Their bid was a third less than identical doors from another company. I would use Andes again and recommend their work to anyone. We found one on a landlord magazine, another online and Paul's on Yelp. The other two were very expensive and kept trying to upsell. We had Art come to meet us and he was very friendly and upfront about how they do business. We hit it off with Art so the unconventional way of doing things was not a problem for us. He can be trusted at his word. Art made rough measurements (for the initial estimate) and the contractor came for exact measurements. The check cleared normally and Art texted and emailed us about everything. It took three weeks to get the windows and were installed in one day. They did good, clean work. Very professional. My house looks so much better, and can hardly hear anything outside. We had two new windows in the kitchen which we thought were installed wrong, but Art's installers said they were good and that they would be ok (no up sale). They even caulked and painted one little spot to make it nicer. He also didn't try to upsell us when I asked to keep one of the old windows in the dining room because I thought it was "charming" but it doesn't open. (I have since changed my mind and will be getting them to replace it after all.) Installation went smoothly (to us). One of the windows was not the same brand so one of the guys went all the way to the suppliers and returned with the right one WITHIN the day while they were still working.
