Set up around 11 am time and he called five min. before to let me know. Knowledgeable, polite and professional. We were duped into paying better than 12K for a "tail light contract" (one that is only good until you can't see their tail lights as they drive away). Even if you know former clients of the contractor check 'em out. Granted, SNB did beautiful work for many years in the Reno area, most of the reviews on this page are true, and based on that, and having seen his work at the home of a friend's, we signed up to have him build a project at our new home. Took our money and that was the last we heard of him. Turns out he was in Chapter 11 when he took our money and subsequentially closed his business permanently last month. ALWAYS, Always, always... check with your state's contractors board and your local Better Business Buearu first. And get 3 estimates, let our pain be your gain! BTW I gave him one star because I can't post this with zero or negative stars.

The renovation was seamless, he moved all the 2nd floor items to the first floor, worked on the demolition, painted, installed the tile and new shower, recarpeted and installed the grab bars and railing. Lastly they moved all the furniture back upstairs where it was previously located. We are delighted with the results! I would have never known that a single handle faucet is much easier for someone with minimal muscle strength to turn on the water. And I had no clue where to place grab bars. Basically, everything I picked out was not adequate for a special needs person. I also learned about offset hinges that allow for a wider door for wheelchair access. Love the final product and the people I dealt with on this venture. EB Homes works with Care Chest and their grants, but also takes private customers and customers with home modification benefits. I called Ipsen construction on a Thursday and the lady on the phone said she could have Ryan, the owner out the next day, Friday at 2pm for a quote to have some doors installed. 2pm Friday comes and no call saying they are on their way or running late. I attempted to call both the office and Ryan's cell phone and received no answer. He ended up showing up at 2:10 which wasn't that big of a deal. But good customer service would have been to call and say they were running late. He looks at the work to be done and says he will have the quote to me the next day, Saturday and could do the work the following week. Saturday comes and goes. No quote. I call that Monday and the lady at the office takes my email again and says it will be over in the next day or two. I don't get it for a week later. And it was incorrect based on our conversation. I emailed back with the corrections that took 3 more days to receive an updated estimate. I have called the office serval times in the last week looking for a start date. They never answer their phones and they do not call back. Don't waste your time with this company, they will just string you along.

He is very knowledgeable, reasonably priced, respectful, and always offers thoughtful suggestions without being pushy. For this project, he came by about three times and did several things: moved the sink and toilet plumbing about a foot to the left (this was my request because I plan to install a handicap-accessible shower in the future), installed a new cabinet and toilet, mounted a mirror with hidden electrical, replaced outdated lighting with recessed lighting, and handled drywall work and prep for paint. Check out the before and after pics! 2) Garbage disposal replacement: I called him on a Friday, and we were able to schedule for Monday. He showed up right on time, finished in about 20 minutes, and cleaned everything up afterward. He's efficient, professional, and just genuinely nice to work with.
