It's also plain to see (in contrast to his claim) that I re-iterated to him that I had planned to be there during his scheduled time. That much is right here in the text string in writing. I can appreciate, sir, that you may be a good person. At least that is your own self evaluation and I'm fine with that. You might just not be such a good business person, or perhaps you were having a bad day and you're now having a tough time coming to terms with that....

They kept me informed as we repeatedly had to push the date back due to snow and rain. But finally they were able to do the job, and in just two days. And that included replacing the ceiling in one room which had caved in due to damage created from an ice dam. John and Cindy are very professional, responsive and I could tell they loved what they do and were committed to doing the best possible job for me. I definitely recommend John for your mobile home repair or roofing needs.

They were peeing off our roof into our dog run area. (There was no Sani-hut provided for them.) They put ladders on top of our gutters and damaged them as well as the trim board on the upper roof. There are clear areas that plywood should have been replaced, and was not. Our roof is bubbling in certain spots. It is new. It's only a week old, but we are highly disappointed with the experience. Nails, tac's and debris were left around our yard. They attempted to clean up but didn't do a very good job. After day 1, we contacted DaBella's sales person, who giggled and said he would take care of it. We also contacted the sales manager, who corresponded for a short time. He said it was unacceptable, they would take care of it and then I never heard from either of them again. And still no Sani-hut the second day!

They made sure he was able to function in it. The remodel has now been done for 6-weeks. A couple of minor things needed attention. They have been right there to make there to take care of them. Having them in charge of making sure all the subcontractors did their jobs when expected. If there was a problem with them, DreamMakers took care of communicating with them about the issue. We absolutely feel we got our monies worth. People walk into our 40-year-old home and comment how they feel as though they are walking into a newly built home. After those dates had passed, we sent a follow-up email asking if the bid would be completed soon. It's been more than two weeks now since our walk-through and we have not heard a word from Shawn or anyone from the design team. I am not inclined to beg for an estimate from them. As a family with small children, it takes a lot to coordinate appointments and we do not at all appreciate the lack of respect that this company has shown us by wasting our time.

My initial meeting with them took about an hour, where we discussed all phases of my desired landscape. I asked about cost and was told that the design fee is $1000, and the landscape should cost about $60,000. I told them that my budget was $75,000, with $10,000 of that being to have a large tree removed, leaving $65,000. The designer came out and charged me $1500??? After a couple months and 2 revisions to the plan, I was presented with a design that I liked. 3 weeks later I got the estimate. There were three significant items on the plan that were not on the estimate, meaning that the estimate would go up substantially. The estimate was for $179,000!!! All that FireSky did for me was to steal $1500 from me for a design that can not be used. I am considering legal action to get my money back.

The waterfall looks nice overall, but a couple of things are disappointing. The black hoses from the pumps are connected with bright white fittings, which really stand out in the pond and don't blend in. Secondly we actually saw them drop a boulder on our concrete patio walkway, leaving a crack from edge to edge. When we brought it up to the salesman's attention, he said the crack was already there - even though both he and the foreman had checked the area before work started and it was fine. He said he'd get back to us, but it's been over a week with no follow-up. They did however, cash our final payment right away. Just wanted to share our experience so that other neighbors know what they could expect. For the price we paid, we were hoping for better attention to details and accountability. SK

We hired this company to redo a computer room carpet with wood laminate flooring and repaint. The…read more2 workers showed up fairly promptly and got to work immediately. The old carpet came up, floor prepared and vinyl planks started. That part of the job went fast, but black 'dust' from cutting the boards to fit flew everywhere. Nothing was put up in the room doorway.....there was a closet full of clothes in the closet which all got this fine black dust on them. Had they said something to me, I would've covered them with an old sheet. Aside from that and the worker having a bit of trouble rehanging the closet sliding doors which my husband helped him accomplish, all turned out very nice. Todd, the contractor, never dropped by to check on his men through the 2 days they were there. Next came installation of a new pre-hung front door which I had ordered and purchased. Three men arrived, 2 were the same 2 that redid the room last week. They got to work, removing our storm door first, then the existing front door and frame. They worked for a few hours without us hovering over their every move. Pretty soon l see one guy has started rolling the paint (I bought) onto the outside of the new door. The color wasn't looking right so Luis (job foreman, I guess) called me. The texture of the rolled on paint was the first thing i noticed. Not smooth like one wants for a front door. The color just needed a couple coats to be right, however the rolled on paint was just looking horrible. By late afternoon, the whole job, including erroneously placed kick plate holes, arched threshold so door didn't close properly, and the new paint which was so thick I could peel it off in big pieces, was a completely botched mess. Our storm door was ruined as they cut off a length on the bottom trying to get it to shut properly which wasn't happening because of the bowled threshold. Again, Todd hadn't stopped by at all that day. So I took pictures and texted Todd asking him to please come over and see what they'd done. He was there very soon with another worker whom he said to me "he can fix anything!" This poor guy looked, measured, shook his head, looked some more, then he and Todd decided the whole new door needed to be replaced. So after Todd reordered the new door, spray painted it in their workshop, and then brought it over, this new guy got it properly installed. This second door and all work done was covered by Todd. We had no hassle over that at all and he took care of it, knowing his crew was at fault. The only thing we'll have to do is purchase a new storm door. We appreciated that he stands by his work very much. In closing, I think if Todd had dropped by earlier in the day, that maybe the original door could've been salvaged...maybe. Would I hire him again? Questionable. He's a great guy whom we like very much, but his workers aren't the best. I know it's hard to get good help since COVID, but I would be hesitant at this time.

From the initial meeting with owner Carlos in September 2025 to get a bid for a new roof and solar panels, my husband and I were impressed. We first contacted Great Basin Roofing because of the great reviews and the fact they do both roofs and solar panels - we liked the idea of one company overseeing it all for continuity. After getting several bids we chose to use Great Basin Roofing, and we are very happy with that choice. Carlos is professional, knowledgeable, personable, and patient with questions. We also got to know office manager Victoria very well as there have been many phone calls and emails back and forth regarding the basics of the projects and ongoing challenges getting approval for the panels from NV Energy. Victoria has been outstanding in her almost-daily efforts to get updates from NV Energy and keep us informed and even made a special trip to our home to make it simpler for us to sign documents. Our roof was installed at the beginning of November by a crew led by Victor, who also provided great customer service. The crew got to work right away the first day tearing off our old roof and continued working two more days to finish installing our new roof. They worked full days, cleaning up at the end of each day, including through the wind and light rain to get the project completed on time. If you need a new roof, Great Basin Roofing and Solar should be on your short list of companies to call. We are still waiting impatiently for approval from NV Energy to have our panels installed (that's a story for another time); I'll update the review after the panel portion of the job is complete.

It rained about a week or so later and we realized one of the leaks was not fixed, and my child's room had a ton of water coming in. We again had communication issues. When two men did come out, they were able to put something up to fix the issue and the company told us we do not need to pay the remaining $500. All in all, I will not be working with this company again due to their lack of communication. The discount they gave us due to the problems is appreciated, & when the guys were here they were all very kind which is why I am updating with 3 stars.

They even removed the old tree stump. They took care to protect surfaces that were adjoining including our motorhome. They carefully relocated some hibernating frogs from underneath the old slab. UPDATE 2-13-2026: Unfortunately, I feel I need to lower my rating of Murphy's Concrete. I strive to…read moreleave fair, honest reviews and as much as I prefer to leave positive reviews, it would not be fair to those reading my review to not provide the full experience. The concrete was poured November 24 & 25 in 2025. On December 11, we received a Notice of Right to Lien from the concrete supplier that Murphy's used for the project because they had not been paid for the concrete. This was a big surprise as we had paid Murphy's in full on November 25. On January 30, 2026, we received a Notice of Intent to Lien from the same supplier as Murphy's still had not paid for the materials they used on our project. On February 12, the supplier notified us that Murphy's paid the bill that day and there would be no lien placed on our property. The lesson I learned is to find out from the contractor which supplier(s) they will be using and pay them directly. To summarize my experience with Murphy's Concrete: They did good work, their customer communication could use some work, and not paying the supplier in a timely manner resulting in the customer being threatened with a lien on their property is a deal-breaker.
