Went in today and saw Faye for the first time, and got a top notch cut. Highly recommend, I will certainly be going back.

A great place for a hair cut! The stand up tanning is great! No memberships, very reasonably priced.

I've been to this salon three times now since moving to Ann Arbor, after a friend recommended it…read moreand I'm so glad she did. I always book with Cameron Hawley, and honestly, he just gets hair. I don't trust many people with mine because it's taken me a long time to grow it out and take care of it, but he was the first person to cut it after two years of no trims, and I've been coming back every three months ever since. My hair has never felt better. I also brought my mom once, she wanted a short haircut, but Cameron made a better recommendation based on her face shape, and it turned out amazing. She left feeling so confident and beautiful! I've also been doing the strengthening treatment with my cuts, and it's made my hair noticeably healthier and shinier. This time around, I came in for a trim and a Keratin Express treatment, and the results were wowwwww. With all the rain lately, I usually get a ton of frizz, but this treatment actually works and is totally worth the hype. I also picked up a few products Cameron recommended including a mousse, an anti‑frizz serum, and a thermic treatment. Full disclosure: I'm a Kérastase lover and have been using the brand for years, but I didn't know about these specific treatments. Now I'm obsessed. My hair feels so smooth, glowy, and healthy. If you're picky about who touches your hair, Cameron is your guy. I couldn't be happier with the results every single visit!!!!

I was getting my hair color done by Julia every 5 to 6 weeks just the roots and she fried the crown of my hair to the point where it feels like straw and is broken off! I will attach photos to my review. She was more concerned about timing and getting me in and out as quick as possible within the hour. She did not care about the health of my hair. She was using 40 volume and lying to me and telling me it was only 20 volume and she put me under the heater so of course the crown of my hair broke where the heater circulates. So the top of my head is only 2 inches now I can literally make a mohawk out of the top of my head only. It's going to take me years to grow it back. I'm not trying to write a whole paragraph but Julia did tell her Manager that I was upset about the breakage, and the only thing the manager offered was a free Kerastase protein/conditioning treatment. Since I'm in the entertainment industry, this has caused big problems for me as I have interviews lined up this month with us weekly, People Magazine, Dr. Phil, etc. Since all of the breakage, I had to get extensions to cover up all the breakage so One One Nine Salon suggested I go to Sarah who works there for extensions, she charged me $2800 for the extensions and an additional $500 to do my color which was Baby root not even a half inch and she broke my hair even more coloring the ends to try and blend the extensions with my real hair and it broke off. The extensions she put in after three nights of sleeping started to break my hair off and become so loose that it was hanging off of my head. I'm going to attach pictures. They overcharge and no one has enough experience or takes the time to do your hair in quality way. All they care about is getting you in and out and getting as much customers in there in one day as possible. Clearly, the manager does not care because I haven't been able to speak to the manager directly or even get any compensation for what's happened. Long story short if you were blonde, I highly suggest you do not go to the salon and definitely do not get extensions by Sarah.

Both times my hair has received excellent care! At my first appointment, she spent close to half an hour trimming all my dead ends off and helping me start fresh with me on my hair journey. I can now say she is at her own salon in Briarwood mall! My second stylist (about a year and a half later) helped trim me up again and decided to style my natural wavy hair (I normally straighten it every day because I don't know how to style it curly). She walked me through the process and it turned out great. She told me she had about a month left of her program and graduates in November! Booking online is super easy and I've never had trouble making an appointment or rescheduling. I've actually booked 15 minutes before a cut because I was desperate and they had plenty of availabilities, but they do recommend you reschedule 24 hours in advance. I'm extremely impressed with the friendliness, service, and atmosphere here. It is clean and modern, smells good, and has a comfy waiting area. Because the stylists are in school, they have a supervisor check the cuts to make sure you like them at the end which is something I appreciate. Prices are extremely affordable- $18 includes a cut, wash, condition, and style. If you are a student and show your ID, it's an extra 10% off. There's also is no option to tip, although I did ask about one. Will be taking advantage of my student status as long as I can, but still, $18 is hard to beat!

I booked an appointment for a scalp treatment and massage on 2/13/24 for the appointment to be on 2/23/24. I live in Livonia, a 30 minute drive both ways. I get to my appointment and I'm sitting in the chair waiting for my appointment to start when the worker comes up to me and says "I'm sorry, we have a worker on disability and cannot perform your massage" I'm sorry what? I'm literally sitting here waiting for it right now, I just drove 30 minutes, you couldn't have canceled before?! She says there's a different treatment I can get, it's a "stress relieving facial" and I'm thinking okay, for my inconvenience, it's on the house? Wrong. It's 20% off that's the best she can do. I ask, what about me driving 30 minutes to get here, paying for downtown parking, and your mistake for not canceling me, what do I get in compensation for ruining my Friday night? I get 20% off my next service and the manager will call the next day to hopefully make it better. Well, 2 days have gone by and no call from the manager. 20% is the best that you can do? How about paying me for the $15 in gas, $3 in parking, and another $10 for the inconvenience. Obviously joking, but 20% is ridiculous! What? Do you think $5 off my next service so this can happen again?! I've come here at least half a dozen times and this is the most unprofessional I've ever seen! You had 10 days to figure this out! You didn't even have the audacity to cancel the day of, better yet when I'm there! And then a manager doesn't even call to make this right?! Unless this is straighten out I will never come here again. DON'T COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET CANCELLED WHILE YOU'RE IN THE SALON! 20% off what a JOKE

Please listen to the negative reviews. There is a very real reason for them!…read more NOTE: I started writing this review in August 2022, but I am posting it in September 2022. I am a bride who started engaging with Aysha for her bridal hair services during January this year. My wedding is in September, it is August now. Just a few days ago, Aysha upped her prices for her bridal services a month before my wedding, telling me that this reason is to honor "inflation." When I refused, telling her she needed to honor the contract I signed at the time of "booking" her, she claimed that contract was not real because she did not countersign it. She also told me explicitly that she could raise the prices as she pleased as it was her business. Lastly, she said if I was not comfortable with the upped charges, that she will find another artist of "lesser cost" to me. The thing is, I paid Aysha a Zelle deposit for 30% of the services at the time I "booked" her and signed the contract from my side. Although money was exchanged, she is somehow claiming this was not a real contract. Right after she did this to me, I took the night to properly evaluate my experiences with her - which were all really awful. She never responded to me on time. She belittled me when we spoke. She took advantage of my stress as a bride. The next morning, I chose to not proceed with her bridal hair services (after she increased the prices for "inflation"). Since she was alleging this contract was not valid, she has no case to keep my money. I called her to tell her this and to return my deposit, but she told me "she does not think she can return it," because "it is only a month away from the wedding date." (Tell me how ironic it is that she even attempted to argue that, considering SHE was the one originally threatening to cancel her services on me if I didn't agree to pay her more! And, imagine how I felt as THE BRIDE when she called to threaten the validity of her contract with me, one month before the wedding!!!) She then tried saying that she would consider honoring the original contract prices to avoid paying the deposit back to me, but I did not want a hair stylist who manipulated me that way... she broke my trust! She said she would call me back, but she did not. I tried calling her - she did not pick up. I emailed her documenting all the horrible things she did to me (she is extremely disorganized; she could not even remember which bride I was whenever she would finally respond), also using that email as a formal written notice to ask for my money back by that Friday, and she did not even respond. Even before she increased her prices to me, Aysha had always been flaky with me and sometimes took months before she responded to my emails and texts (this was true even after I paid her my deposit and thought we were booked). As a bride, every day can feel like a year when you are planning every detail out, so punctuality and accountability with your vendors is critical. I learned I was not the only bride who experienced this, but I learned too late. Some girl who I know personally also experienced an extremely similar case, but she did not speak up because she thought it would not change anything. I only found out by expressing my angst to a friend that many other brides were in the same boat as me. It appears there are others even on Yelp who also went through what I did. I beg of all brides who experienced the same things as us - please do your part and LEAVE AN HONEST REVIEW! So if she is that bad, why all the positive reviews, you ask? In my opinion, I think this is because Aysha knows how to charm people. Even after telling me she was increasing the prices, which is completely unacceptable given the pretense of a contract we had, she somehow played the victim card by saying she shouldn't have booked a bride who couldn't honor her "high prices." I was perfectly willing to pay the amount we agreed to in writing, but somehow she was repainting the narrative. It's very manipulative behavior! When she raises her prices shortly before a bride's wedding, the bride will likely just pay it to make sure the booking still is valid. Unfortunately for Aysha, I am not that kind of a bride, and I am going to take every appropriate, legal action I can to get my money back and spread the truth. If you are a bride, please - don't end up in my shoes. Listen to the reviews, do your research, and pick someone reliable. It's your special day! Please, pick someone deserving to do your hair. Positive vibes only.
