Updating my review but keeping the same stars because I adore this place…read more I am a 24 year old female with the back problems of a 80 year old man. I have had Tony in the past but I never got his name until tonight. I could tell he was exhausted- I had a 6:30 appointment after a long, presumably busy Saturday for him. I always feel bad doing night time appointments; partly because I feel guilty keeping them late on my accord, and partly because I know their hands are weaker after a long day of massaging. Tonight, Tony proved me otherwise. I requested a male because I know they go rougher with knots. I repeatedly asked for harder and harder pressure. Tony responded every time with exactly the right pressure. Poor guy was so tired he couldn't stop yawning while massaging, but his work never showed how tired he was. Even after using all his energy and strength, Tony kept asking me if the pressure was good and if I felt ok. I ended up tipping 70%- $20 on a $29 bill. Thank you Tony and all the staff for your hard work!

Definitely would not recommend if you are looking to get a fun service done with a group but great if you just want a quick service. We both felt like the treatment wasnt terrible but there were too many different things going on and not enough time was focused on the scalp and shoulders to relax. Too much time was spent washing the face and it was just a shampoo and conditioning. We wanted a head and shoulder massage but this did not cut it.

P.S. if it's too painful for you, speak up and let your masseuse know before leaving a bad review.. coming from a healthy female with no back problems and just soreness/knots from lifting weights at the gym, this place is hands down one of the best spots I've found that isn't priced up the ass

I had a scheduled appointment at 6PM but I called her and asked if I could move it up to 5:30 and she was all on board! Which I really appreciated it. When I got to her office she was super warm and welcoming. I got a 60 minute massage and it was 60 minutes too short, she did such a good job going in and getting all the spots I had a lot of tension. The ambiance was very calming, she had a dark room, music, and very good smelling oils. I did break out a little bit from the oil but thats normal for me! Afterwards she gave me a little bit of advice on the tightness around my legs and how to stretch it better. I highly recommend you try her! First time clients get 10 dollars off. For a lack of better words, holy sh**!…read more I'm not gonna lie, when I first got to the building I was skeptical, only because it's a pretty outdated building with a bunch of suites that people & businesses rent out. But looks can be very deceiving! Opal Massage was in one of the suites (suite 101a) and definitely had the most welcoming door and exterior. I had my appointment with Gabriella, who is INCREDIBLE. I mean she's so welcoming and kind, I felt so comfortable around her quickly. It was a very straight forward check-in and appointment-setting process - I booked my appointment online and paid after the massage. Easy peasy. There's no secretary or anything like that, so everything was done by Gabriella! You get 15% off if you're a first time customer, and I paid $70 even for a therapeutic 1 hour massage. The massage itself.... Wow. I have never in my life felt my body and mind so relaxed. It was a very serene environment with low & calming music and a light essential oil going off in the room. She worked so diligently on my back, legs, arms, neck, head, and shoulders. When I tell you this was the best massage EVER, believe me. I loved the oil she used too and she made sure I was taken care of, comfortable, and tense-free. Book your next appointment here, you won't regret it!

There are a handful of massage tables all in a row in a cozy, dim, communal room. You keep your clothes on, other than your shoes/socks, throughout the treatment. It might also be a good idea to wear looser clothing and pants that easily roll up past the knee. My sister said they used to have you relocate to one of the private massage rooms for the body massage, but it seems they changed the model and you just do the whole service clothed in the communal room - at least, this was the case for the 60-minute Combo treatment. Or maybe it was just done this way because we were the only clients in the whole spa at the time. My massage was pretty much as relaxing as any I've had in the area, and with all of our health insurance co-pays going up this year, it's probably a better self-care proposition than a session of therapy. ;) The cost was $50 for the 60-minute Combo treatment, plus $2 card processing fee and tip. Do note there may be a language barrier, in case that is a concern of yours. I didn't find this to be a problem.
