What a great find! My friend, Mirella, brought me here a few days ago for a coffee and a shared…read moreorange polenta cake. Oh my!! Needless to say it has haunted my dreams since, so today after a hard workout my husband and I biked over for lunch. The first thing that strikes you while approaching from Kitchener Street is the lush, inviting covered wrap around porch; there is plentiful and adequately spaced tables located here (so as not to be forced to overhear unwanted convos). Next, upon entering this clean and tidy cottage you will notice three separate distinct seating areas: the main dining area, a smaller dining area tucked away by the kitchen and pastry counter, and a delightful and welcoming covered deck. We were promptly greeted by one of the friendly staff and seated straight away. Tap water, glasses, and menus were waiting at the table and after an appropriate amount of time our order was taken and special requests confirmed. This place is really busy but it seems well managed; the staff is very attentive without being intrusive. As we waited for our order we noticed the bustling and efficient staff who worked like a well oiled machine - dirty dishes were quickly removed from tables, additional carafes of tap water were dropped off without being asked for, and patrons seemed relaxed, very happy, and satisfied. By meals' end we, too, were among those happy people. My husband ordered a sandwich that I struggle to recall the name ;( it was a hearty sandwich made from perfectly toasted sourdough, grilled chicken breast meat, swiss cheese, garlic aioli, a mix of tender and flavourful greens, and crispy bacon. I ordered the smashed avocado with feta on the same delightfully prepared sourdough. It, too, came with a generous portion of greens. We could not be happier with our newfound neighbourhood brekkie place. AND there is a coffee loyalty card to boot!

You couldn't add Kale even though one dish had it and the outdoor area had a strong bad smell. Still the coffee was great and the juice and food was good. My partner didn't like hers but I would come back and try again.

A little hole in the wall cafe in Adelaide. Not particularly close to any other businesses…read more I went on a hot summer day and boy was I sweating. The inside is cute with some table seating inside and outside. It's next to what I belive is a creative office where the cafe and the office is divided with a fence. There's also another section at the back with a galley. The latte here is all right. They seem to have some food menu as well along with pastries. The place is cute but definitely needs to be air conditioned to stay long. It's like a garage that's open with no doors so it let's in all that 40C heat. Would come back when the weather cools down a bit!

Coffee is amazing and will try a long black next time to fully appreciate the full flavour. Short black may bounce me off the wall! The big roller door is the 'front door', wonder how will it work in the colder months but for now it is fantastic! The Parade West may be and could be a busy thoroughfare but I hardly notice it being a Monday morning. The deco overall is minimalist with 2 separate dinning areas, the back area is nice and quiet if you wish to 'work'. Food wise, there are bagels, brownies, melting moments etc but the choice is limited, I didn't see any food menu on the counter but I noticed there's a sandwich press and toaster. I am sure if you'd ask, they will tell you what they have to offer. All coffees are double roasted. Great place to be if you want to avoid the 'crowd' of the Parade. There are heaps of offices in the precinct and with great coffees they will do well!

What a interesting little place. I never really noticed this place as it is right across from the…read moreNorwood Parade mall. Plenty of street parking or car park. It's next to the Norwood Concert Hall and easy walking distance. Brick and Motar creative had a special event on for and I was lucky enough to attend on of these workshop free events. This place is open 7 days a week from Mon-Sat 8.30-5, Sun 10-4. Independent design stores, creative workspaces, cafe, workshops + events. 49 George St, Norwood South Australia. I attended a ESTY Craft workshop and had to register online to get a placement. I attended a Friday night on the 17.06 from 6pm to 9pm. The theme was stationary, where each person receives free materials, instructions and guidance to make old-school paper stationery such as notepads, books, zines and notebooks, travel books, and it was all about being creative and book binding. This was a great social event, as many of us never bound books/note books by hand, it the guests and staff helped each other to complete out selected activity. I was greeted at the front door, received a name tag and greeted by more friendly and helpful staff. The place was cleaned, well situated and laid out with a workshop area and retail area and coffee/cafe area. We guests and customers and work on their projects while purchasing coffee/wine or nibbles. I made a japanese binding book and a traveller's note book, by selecting different papers, materials, stickers and then had to bind the book together with needle and thread. It was a fantastic experience and will probably do this again. It was fun if you are into arts and craft and social mingling. There are other events coming up, so head to their website as you can sign up for workshops/events to make soaps, stationary items, paper flowers etc or just come along to view the exhibitions and displays. Thumbs up! http://www.brickandmortarcreative.com.au/ .

The composition of the dish was well balanced, multi-layered and aesthetically pleasing. We also tried the baked egg with scallops- very savory and hot! Well balanced with the creamy poached eggs and cauliflower purée at the bottom paired with the crunchy pangrattato and crispy bacon. Would definitely order again Delicious!! Their coffee is excellent - super smooth. We were lucky to sit upstairs at the bar seating and witnessed them roasting their own coffee beans. No wonder the coffee is so tasty. I just wish the serving size was bigger so I could have more haha.

The place was very light and airy. We sat on the ground level, but there is also an indoor balcony area and a couple outdoor tables. I was very happy with the bloody Mary, got a good depth of flavor and a moderate spicy level. I LOVED the whipped avo. It was basically a deconstructed avocado toast. The avo was so light and fluffy and tangy, absolutely amazing on its own, but then to pair it with the feta, pickled rhubarb and the beautiful artisan toast - I ate every last crumb and wished there were more.
