Beware of shady business practices. Couch Potato was highly recommended to me by my realtor. I went…read morethere and asked for the cheapest carpet they had. I was shown 2 samples and picked one. I had them come and measure and was given a written estimate. I went to Couch Potato with checkbook in hand to finalize the job. When I got there I was told there was a mistake on the estimate and it would be an additional 700$. They would not honor the original estimate. They did offer me 10% off the price which then made it only 500$ over the original estimate. So the they told me they could give me cheaper carpet. What? I had asked for the cheapest carpet in the first place and was not given it. I found out the carpet they showed me the first time was a close out that they wanted to get rid of but it was not what I asked for. I told my realtor what was occurring since they are recommending them to their clients. My realtor called Couch Potato to see what they had to say and they told her that I did not like the cheapest carpet samples they showed me and I CHOOSE a more more expensive one which was an out right lie. Then Couch Potato proceeded to tell her that they could offer us even cheaper carpet. Wait I asked for the cheapest carpet the very first time I went there. Shady!!!!

Highly, highly, highly recommended. Don't go through anyone else for carpeting. I had so many…read moreissues when trying to schedule with home depot, and ended up receiving amazing service and quality for the same price through Couch Potato. I told them that my main priority was getting my carpet in as soon as possible, and they did what they needed to to accomplish that for me. They scheduled an estimate within 24hrs of my call. When Tom came to measure, he ensured to bring in carpet samples that they had in stock at all times so that we wouldn't have to wait for ordering of materials. He helped me choose an affordable option that accounted for my needs at home. Their padding is also higher quality than what home depot was offering. Couch Potato's pricing was so nicely simplified. Each price included the price for the carpet, padding, and installation together. Whereas elsewhere, they price all 3 separately. They asked for a deposit of half the cost before they provided the service, then the rest of the payment afterwards. Couch Potato was able to schedule my installation within 3 days. The day of installation, the gentlemen were respectful of my home and made sure to ask questions to verify what I would need. They cleaned up afterwards and called Heather prior to leaving to allow me to talk to her and verify her employees performed an adequate job. I could not be happier with the result and the customer service I received.

This job turned out good but sure didn't start that way. The staff at the store were all very…read morehelpful. We selected our laminate flooring and scheduled the measurement. Kayla came out as scheduled and did the measurement in a professional manner. We agreed and made payment as per the company's stipulation in the beginning of December 2023. We also scheduled the installation for January 8th. Well; the installation was pushed back twice because we were told the installer was backed up on another job. This wouldn't normally be a problem, but we have everything packed up for our two largest rooms except the largest furniture. The installer was supposed to contact us to look at the project prior to the job. That never happened so I called him the day before to make sure he planned on starting before moving the large furniture. They did show up on Monday as scheduled but that's were it got worse. They apparently couldn't scribe around the fireplace stone and became frustrated. They then both hop in the truck and run to Harbor Freight to get blades for the tool they needed to use. When they returned they said that didn't work. They then decided that they recommend undercutting the stone with a masonry saw. Well cutting masonry is extremely dirty so I said if that's the plan, I want it tented to keep the dust to that area. That was it for the first day....about three rows were installed. Laughable but I wanted to cry. The next morning he called about 10 am and said he is at Home Depot and the cost of materials was going to be around $500 plus about $300 additional for labor. I told him I would pay for some but not all of this because he never showed up to look at the project as stated on our contract and he showed up totally unprepared to get this job done correctly. He then told me he is an independent contractor and isn't in any contract with me so he isn't coming back! I immediately called Amber, the manager who within minutes had another installer that she could reassign to the project. She assured me that they will be able to get things corrected. She sent out Remi and Carlos. Well they stayed late that day and finished the living room before leaving for the day. They obviously knew how to scribe around the fireplace and didn't need to undercut the masonry as stated by the previous installer. By the end of the second day the entire project was complete and done in a very professional manner. The first picture is the flooring attempt by the first contractor after the first day. The second is the completed flooring at that location after Remi and Carlos took over. Thank you Amber for getting involved and sending these guys out to save the day. They will do all my flooring going forward!
