Prompt, professional, well-mannered and clean and reasonably priced. The only reason they didn't get a five star was that the serviceman didn't notice the third door in the house. We live out of state, so we weren't there to double check everything. However, he did a fine job re-keying the front door and the garage door. I just wish he had noticed that side door. We would have been happy to pay for that to be rekeyed as well. As it stands, our tenant will have to use the old key for the side door, and she has brand new keys for the front and garage doors. Fantastic Company! Mike and Charlie are 2 of the NICEST guys I have ever hired to do any job for my business and home. I needed my commercial door locks drilled and replaced and they arrived quickly and performed their worked flawlessly. I then hired them to install an Adams Rite keypad door lock entry at my business and it took them several hours longer than originally quoted because of several alignment/door issues. I went to a locksmith near the 101 and Kanan. With an exotic car key blank I ordered from Germany. The owner said in effect "A are you trying to ruin my cutter with that Titanium or hardened stee key??" He was like angry I was there in his shop. I asked for a recommendation and he said Arkco in Simi Valley. Couple of days later I made the 40 mile trip out there. The gentleman cut the key in 30 seconds. He said the metal was just painted Brass,,,,,no problem on any machine He cut the key, tested it in the car and it worked perfectly. HE WOULD NOT TAKE ANY MONEY FOR CUTTING IT !! YES YOU GOT THAT RIGHT!!! He cut the key, walked out to the car, tested it and would not take my money!! Could not have asked for better service. We had two car keys stolen from our vehicle last night along with many other items. Today we could not have asked for better care than what this company provided. There is not comparison between the price/service Mike did for our family and the dealership. Dealership was charging us double the amount then what Mike's company charged. He was able to come right to our house and fix both keys. We are very grateful for Mike. Just wanted to say what an awesome experience I had at Arkco this evening. I stopped by to have a key made to replace one I had lost for my filing cabinet at work. I had a key made at a competitors yesterday that didIt was a hard key to match, but Mike made me two copies and said to try them both. Best locksmith in town! Locked my keys in my car on the seat and called them up and they quickly answered and said they would be there within 30 mins, which was a perfectly acceptable time for me. However he arrived within 5 mins and had it unlocked within 15 seconds. Charged 50 bucks which is fair and I gave him an extra 5 for the prompt service. I purchased two keyfob remotes on eBay for my Chevy Malibu. Unfortunately, there is no "back-door" method to program these. You must have a programming unit that plugs into your car's OPM port. So I went to my local Chevrolet dealer, waited for over an hour, only to be told that they were unable to program my remotes because of a "bad receiver" in my car, which they could replace for about $600. A friend recommended that I call AAA to see if they can do automobile keyfob remote reprogramming. I did, and AAA contacted Arkco to determine if they could program the remote for my particular car and advised that they could and would respond to my home in 40 minutes. In less than 25 minutes the Arkco locksmith was at my front door and, I kid you not, programmed both of the new remotes in about a minute! Total charge out of pocket? $50 for the programming, and $10 for the two remotes from eBay. Trust me, the dealership wanted plenty more. It's rare in this day and age to receive such rapid and reliable service. I'm a very happy customer and can most assuredly recommend the good services of Arcko Security Lock and Key.
