We started the relationship with our plumber who provided Family Floors as a recommendation when I mentioned that we needed to do a bathroom remodel. I called Family Floors and Chuck came out and talked to me and took a lot of measurements saying he would provide an estimate the next day. The work was for removal of the current tub and tub wall, installation of ceramic tile, new tub, and vinyl flooring. I didn't receive Chuck's estimate the next day, I got it via email that night! Wow! I got a follow-up copy of the estimate in the mail a couple days later. We hired Chuck and I went to their store to pick out the tile and flooring. I worked with Kelly and we managed to pick out a lot. I came back to the store after doing some thinking and to view some additional samples after trying out the ones Kelly and I picked in my bathroom. This time I met with Chuck and he was terrific too. He listened carefully to what I explained, the kind of look I was after, and he made some suggestions himself. We honestly had fun with it all. He and Kelly are both very personable, and you can tell they have years of experience doing this because they stay very professional as well. The job is complete now. And it is absolutely beautiful. To attempt to do a quick summary: Chuck was ALWAYS on time, did the job in the amount of time he told me he had scheduled, he worked steadily from the time he arrived at our house until he was done for the day, he was very, very neat and cleaned up very well at the end of each day. I don't think he realized I saw him, but on the first day, I was planting flowers next to our sidewalk and hadn't swept up all the dirt. The next day, he pulled out his brush and swept off that little corner so that he wouldn't track the dirt into the house during his trips in from his van. No one ever called us back so we called again and could only reach their voice mail. After leaving numerous messages, they did not respond. It seems you can easily get through to the sales line but no one answers or checks voice mail on the service line. We FINALLY got through today and and contrary to our warranty, they want to charge us $250.00 just to come to our house. This is not in the original written agreement. I told them that is not what we were told or agreed upon and the woman named Karen was very rude and hung up on us when we asked her to show us where the contract says there would be a $250.00 charge on the warranty. She can't show us that because a $250.00 charge is not in the contract! Terrible company. Avoid them at all costs. I'd give zero stars if I could.

I hired this company for attic mold remediation and related repairs. The written agreement clearly…read morestated that half the payment was due upfront (which I paid), and the remainder was due upon completion. There was no clause or discussion requiring additional payment before the project was finished. The company completed only part of the work and then left the rest--specifically insulation and drywall--unfinished. This left my attic without insulation during the coldest part of winter. When I followed up to have the work completed, my calls went unanswered, despite being told they would return. One day, I came home from an appointment to find the workers packing up after completing only the mold remediation portion. They had the owner on speakerphone. At that point, the owner demanded additional payment before proceeding with the remaining work. This had never been discussed and was not reflected anywhere in the written agreement. I calmly pointed that out. The owner then proceeded to yell at me for an extended period of time over terms that simply did not exist in our contract. The interaction was aggressive, unprofessional, and completely out of line. During that conversation, I even tried to de-escalate and discussed possibly separating the remaining work due to his behavior. However, I made it clear that my preference was for the job to be completed properly and with care, as originally agreed. That never happened. After that interaction, the company stopped responding altogether. I ultimately had to hire someone else to finish the job. To be fair, the employees I interacted with in person were kind and professional. However, they also did not respond to my follow-up attempts, which I can only assume was direction from the owner. If you are considering this company, make sure every detail is explicitly documented and be aware that the project may not be completed as agreed. Additionally, the owner's conduct alone should give serious pause before entering into a contract.
