MORE DETAILS & ADVICE: Our GC originally had us working with another design studio. They were very difficult, did not listen, and made me feel like my cabinetry was being assigned to me. Having done other remodels, I knew it did not have to be this way, especially since even at a big box store we had had a better experience. Although my GC was not happy(he still got his 10%), I searched for another place to do our cabinetry. Fortunately, I found Elena at Kitchen Envy. The cabinetry portion of our project was delightful due to Elena and we are beyond satisfied. Elena was extremely patient and professional with our difficult GC. Additionally, I would highly advise anyone to go with one of the GCs Elena recommends for cabinetry installation as she seeks and achieves quality work. Elena got us 2 bids for install which were less than what we ended up paying our GC, as he insisted on installing. What we got from our GC was odd trim work, a panel dishwasher that stuck out more than 2 inches, a lot of complaining and excuses. Elena along with Ferdinand Construction simply came in and resolved all issues(most that I was not aware of)- wish I had this type of regard and outcome for our entire remodel project. Elena does not just sell cabinetry; she ensures excellence. AGAIN NOTE, she paid to have Ferdinand Construction fix the errors of my GC. We walked in and was very impressed with the showroom. Basically allowed to roam the warehouse, take pictures of the barcode, and they can create an invoice with info and pricing. Although they only carry slabs (no prefab).. I liked the choices they had. I had seven different slabs and pricing was various $$$$.. Still surprised the prices were lower than I thought. Still need to find a fabricator, and probably one more estimate on slabs. Im really glad they are in town.

Angela is an incredibly talented designer with an amazing eye for detail. When the polished version of the tile we wanted wasn't available through the Reno store, she went above and beyond by coordinating with the Salt Lake distribution center to have it shipped directly to our home. She even worked to offset the shipping cost by reducing the price of the material, which was incredibly appreciated. Throughout the entire project, Angela helped us coordinate tile selections, grout colors, caulking, Schluter trim, and all of the countless design details that can easily become overwhelming. She was conscientious, responsive, proactive, and always followed through on everything she said she would do. What impressed me most was her level of customer service. At one point, while traveling through California on a weekend, she personally picked up the Schluter trim we needed from another Floor & Decor store and brought it back to the Reno store so it would be available for our project. She routinely answered my calls and texts on her personal cell phone, even outside of normal business hours, simply because she genuinely cared about making sure our project was successful. That level of dedication is almost impossible to find today. Building a home is one of the most stressful things I've ever done, but having Angela on our team made an enormous difference. I didn't have the time to drive 2 blocks and back wait in line again. Update: they don't take phone calls on the weekend, even though they are open. !!?! And all of this took an hour, which should have taken less than 5 minutes and completely messed up my whole day of scheduled events.
