Incredibly helpful team, well organized inventory, and great prices/selection for carpet remnants.

I recommend this company for your carpet purchase. Throughout the entire process, Stacy and her team were nothing but professional, knowledgeable and courteous. I had just painted my walls and baseboards and was highly concerned these would be damaged during the installation. Of course, there are no guarantees that unintentional damage might occur. Stacy has worked with Profix Services for over 20 years and had nothing but good things to say about the owner Carlos Hernandez who did the installation. Carlos was also knowledgeable, professional and courteous. After the installation, not one ding or scuff to be noted. My home looks beautiful with new carpet! Thank you GCO Flooring Outlet and Profix Services!! read more

I came in to GCO Flooring Outlet in Reno to look for carpet for my new home. After working with Owner Stacy, I decided I wanted to create an oversized rug for my living room and runners for the entry and kitchen. I didn't know this could be created? This truly was fantastic experience and I enjoyed working with Stacy. There were so many choices and she gave me so many ideas. I am still trying to decide what I will do for my new home. I may hire their designer to come out and give me some styling ideas and bring out samples. I felt the value and pricing were very fair. The outlet is very large and really nice and clean. Working with Stacy was a dream. She cares about her customers and is so lovely to work with. This has been a 5 Star Customer Service experience working with Stacy and GCO flooring and Carpet Outlet in Reno. I can't wait to see what I choose. I will add to my review in the near future. Design decisions take time. Julie A read more

I had 2 bedrooms carpeted by GCO about 7 years ago. They had gotten a little loose over the last year or so. I called GCO to get them re-stretched, expecting to pay for that service. Starla helped me and got the fees covered by the manufacturer, which was above and beyond what I expected. Victor and his helper came and did a very through job, moving all the furniture out to get the best and long-lasting results. I am extremely pleased with this level of service and will be going to GCO for my future carpeting needs. read more

GCO Carpet is an excellent well stocked and well staffed store. My wife & I first went to the carpet store across the street and then saw GCO. The difference was night and day between what a good carpet showroom should be, GCO was clean and had a huge selection of carpet rolls and samples. Starla greeted us and was helpful guiding us through the store, describing differences in the materials and brands. She gave us time to ourselves to look and make some selections, we chose samples to take home. Once the carpet was selected a gentleman came for measurements, we put down a deposit and installation was scheduled. The installers headed by Mr. Duvall we're experienced and efficient. The entire process from selecting carpet to walking on beautiful plush soft floors was amazingly easy thanks to Starla and the GCO staff! read more

Starla is amazing. She helped us pick out the best carpet for our needs and even gave us a discount. Benny, the installer, and his crew were fantastic. They carpeted out entire upstairs, our staircase and our living room in one day and did a beautiful job. GCO - Reno Location When walking into this location, the store just had rolls and rolls around the store of carpet. There was no types, no labels, no prices, and no employees available to talk too. It took upto 5-10min for a man to approach us asking if we need help, we were looking for hardwood floors that are waterproof the man just pointed an said those are waterproof an then told us "oh those, over there are too" I'm like "Overwhere?" He was pointing but was pointing towards the back of the store. He did not even offer to walk us over to it, he just walked away an then never came back til about a few mins from us leaving the store. The man seemed like he was not really wanting to be helpful, he didnt have answers to questions we had nor other customer questions he said we would have to come back on Monday to talk to another associates about what they have to offer. For an outlet store as they say they are, the prices are extremely higher then other stores in the area an without many price tags except for some hand written signs. So I'm not sure if I will be coming back to this location. I'm not saying this place was bad, but without a knowledgeable staff and proper signage or even what color certain carpets are. read more

We had an amazing experience with Stacy helping us install our floor before our baby was born. Her and her staff were helpful, professional and just great people to work with and got rid of a lot of the stress. Alex the installer, was superb in helping everything be complete before we got home with our new baby girl. His work is impeccable and I would recommend him and GCO to anyone that asks. In fact we have and our friends have also had great experiences with this team as well. Quality flooring for the right price with no stress. Priceless! read more

Needed a small closet re-carpeted and GCO exceeded my expectations. Friendly staff quick installation. Very pleased

"Buyer beware!!" They don't guarantee their work & they won't! I tried to give them another chance, but they aren't comfortable with their own workmanship! You need to lower your expectations to work with this local business... read more

My experience with GCO Carpet Outlet could not have been any better. Their selection was big enough to provide a wide range of materials, colors, textures, prices and quality. Stacy helped me make the decision based on our needs. The price was similar to two other places I went to for bids and I received a discount because the carpet was already in stock. They work with McGiver's Carpeting for the delivery, removal of old carpet and installation. They were superior. They arrived on time, worked really hard, cleaned up after each step of the process and carried away all the mess. (Who would have thought that carpet installation would produce so many little pieces of the carpeting!) They were very careful when moving our furniture out of the rooms and remembered where it went when they put it all back. I will use GCO Carpet again when we are ready to replace the upstairs carpet. read more

Great selection of flooring and carpeting. Terrific pricing. Professional and friendly service. I highly recommend. Stacy is a gem and stays in constant communication with you. Dan was our floor installer and he was fabulous as well. I'm not used to jobs being scheduled with such ease and then being completed right in time. Amazing company! read more

We were looking for the best carpet for a rental - and they knew exactly what we wanted. After choosing, they were courteous, professional and prompt. From shopping at the last minute, just before they closed - they still managed to cut the carpet and have it ready for our carpet guy to pick up first thing in morning. Well done! read more

We went to the store in search of new vinyl flooring for our kitchen. We found several potential candidates and were given samples to take home. The next day, we arranged for the installer to visit our home. After installer submitted estimate, we returned to GCO to pay for the flooring. The installer called to arrange a date. The installer arrived on time, and the installation was perfect. My wife is very happy with the results. We were very happy to use this local merchant. read more

It is very rare that you find customer service like this anymore! I looked at 4 different business before choosing GCO. This is a family operated business and it was because of that that I chose to have my flooring done with them. Bob, the owner, was so helpful when I came in and answered all my questions and helped me pick out samples. His daughter set up my installation and Alex came out do the install. Unfortunately, after the installation was done, it was obvious that my concrete slab had flaws in it and we weren't happy. Bob came up with a solution that exceeded my expectations and fixed them problem at no additional cost to us. I couldn't be happier with the final product and and so thankful to Alex for all his handwork, sweat and labor. I would definitely recommend this business! read more

Just had flooring installed last week. Wood floors in hall and bedrooms and carpet on the stairs. Stacy was great in making recommendations. We are quite happy with our floors. She sublet the installation to Floorex LTD and they did a great job on the install and were great about cleanup afterwards. I highly recommend both companies. read more

Very impressed with GCO Carpet! Starla was very helpful, incredibly professional and went the extra mile for me. Stacey was great as well. Very impressed with both of them! They made my large carpet purchase seamless from start to finish. Dan, who installed the carpet, was fantastic. Dan was honest and a real professional. He really knows his stuff!!! On time, expedient, clean, efficient and did an excellent job installing my carpet. His team was super nice, respectful and really nice guys!!! I was extremely pleased with their work. Dan said if I had any problems with the install that he would come back and fix it. That meant a lot to me! I recommend this company. They do a great job and I have no complaints! I was dreading looking for carpet and going through the whole process, but GCO made it so easy. Finally found a place that offers a wide selection of carpets many of which are in stock and most importantly can be installed quickly. Starla was our salesperson and she was excellent with her knowledge of carpets and pricing. We found a carpet through Starla that was was of equal high quality to one we found at a big-box store, but the difference was she could have it installed in less than a week (not 6 weeks) and at a cost of over $ 2,000 less than the other place. Before you commit to making the same mistake we made by assuming service and price were going to be better at a big-box-store, make sure you stop in to assess the variety, cost and convenience at GCO! read more

The people who run this store are wonderful. They go out of their way to make suggestions and offer advice if asked. I can not recommend them highly enough. If I could give them a 10 of 5 stars, I would do it. read more

I went a lot of places all over Reno trying to find LVP flooring for our home. GCO was THE BEST! I worked with Stacy, and she was SO helpful! She was honest, knowledgeable, and prompt. She helped me narrow down my options, and after borrowing several samples to take home, we decided on Armstrong Luxe with Rigid Core (20mm, 8mil, 7x48" planks). The price for this product was cheaper than anywhere else in Reno (I know, because I made a spreadsheet and compared prices on several major brands from stores all over town!) We just finished installing it ourselves, and the process was smooth, and we found no broken/damaged planks in any of the boxes we opened. Great service at the store, and they carry only quality products (Stacy said she'll stop carrying brands/lines that cause issues, because she only wants the best for her customers and installers.) I am already planning to return next year to purchase upstairs carpet from GCO. I highly recommend GCO and Stacy or Starla. read more

Family owned and customer service driven...that's not easy to find these days!! I want to make a specific shout out to my rep Stacy! I went to Gco trying to use a locally owned business and avoid the big box stores. I met with the owner and picked the carpet and one of my specific questions was do you have your own installers, I was told yes. I should have asked if GCO was the employer of the installers because they are not, they use sub contractors. Subcontractor 1 over measured by 250 sg ft or $800 on a 700sq ft carpet job. I called GCO and disputed the measurements since i have the blueprints and they sent out subcontractor 2. He got the measurements correct but charged 200 more than #1. So we went with #2, GCO was unable to explain to me the measurements differences or the cost difference since it is charged by the ft. Then install day. Installer showed up at 1130 for a 9 am appt. Didn't finish that day, dah. Said he would be back at 8am for day 2, made it at 930, closer but not to standard. If my house wasn't half carpeted I would have fired him that day. To be fair the carpet came out nice and met our expectations but what a circus. I can only imagine if the was an issue if GCO has the ability to resolve it. read more

Washburn (my previous go-to for carpet store) closed. Uh-oh! Panic time! So I had some research to do and chose GCO Carpet based on the reviews. I'm nervous with contractors new to me but then had no choice but to go ahead. I visited GCO store and Stacy took my request. She sent Dan to take measurements. Next day, she called with a very reasonable price. So far, so good! Then Dan called to set up an appointment for install in a couple of days. Dan and his assistant came out, removed the old carpet & installed the new, as well as some flooring in the two bathrooms. They did a spectacular job and I love it. Thanks to you all! read more

Stacey is great. Other reviewers rave about her as shall I. Wife and I shopped considerably but couldn't really connect with a local flooring company, except Stacey and GCO. We found a very good selection of in-stock carpets. Then Stacey gave us her best price (which was excellent!!) and her installers were at our house within two-days. We are very satisfied!! read more

I have bought carpet from this company back before the new owners took over. Been buying carpet here for rental homes for at least 20 years. I bought a full home of carpet back a year ago for a rental and all was completed well. I was not sure of the crew that came out to install because they looked worn out (50+ yrs old) but they did an okay job. I went back recently to talk carpet for my home and I was shocked to be treated so rudely by one or the owners / family members. She talked down to us like we had rocks in our heads and we have been in Real Estate and Property Managers for most of our lives. It came to an issue about the way a carpet was made and I think the problem was the term we were using. She was so rude to us that I should have just walked out. Instead I let her walk through the store pointing out which carpets were best for us. Now, exactly how do you remember the 30 styles she pointed at during our tour? We were looking at rolls of carpet that were not marked with the issue we were trying to avoid. I left exasperated and walked across the street to get a quote. I was amazed to get better quality carpet at a lower cost. Easy to deal with and ready to please, this is the best way to go. I doubt I will ever recommend GCO again to my home owners. read more
