I had floor craft come out to my house twice: once to install new wood to match existing hardwood from a house built in 1961 and sanded and stained the entire house when we bought it, then again two years later to rip out our kitchen flooring and installing new wood. They then laced it into the existing wood they installed. So, these guys have the technical chops. I didn't have to worry about that either time. The floors look great, but the reason why I liked them so much was because they were by far the easiest people to work with during our remodel. After being blown off by another flooring company I gave these guys a try. WOW! What a difference! Dimitri arrived ON TIME for our scheduled appointment. He walked through the house with me inspecting all of the damaged areas of the floor. There were numerous repairs that had to be made to the existing flooring, and some areas even needed replacing. He explained to me how the necessary repairs and replacements would be done, and then handed me a bid right there on the spot. The bid included the refinishing and the complete cost for the repairs. They did an absolutely outstanding job! The job was completed in the time frame they promised. My floors were beyond beautiful when they were done. I highly recommend them. read more

Dimitri gave us a very fair estimate to refinish our wood floors. The man he sent to do the work was pleasant, professional and knew what he was doing. The floors look fantastic. We found the staff to be honest, prompt and will definately use this company when it is time to refinish again (yes real wood floors require maintenance). I just moved into my home with hardwood floors from the 1960s. The original floors were the typical light color with a high gloss that looked yellow and dingy. High traffic areas were discolored. After collecting quotes from around town, we decided in Floorcraft due to their lower prices and recommendation from our real estate agent. For around 1100 square feet of flooring we were quoted $2500 for complete sanding, staining, and refinishing. The job was supposed to take a week though it was only four days and less than a week later we are moved in with barely any smell left. The owners and workers were thorough, detailed, and tidy. Communication with the office was frequent and perfect. I wouldn't go anywhere else for floor work this good. read more

Working with Floorcraft was such a pleasure and so easy! They were knowledgeable, courteous and so flexible with installing the new floors in my townhouse. I needed to coordinate the flooring installation with moving my things in as I had just purchased the townhouse. They were able to meet the deadline so the new floors were installed before my things arrived. The flooring I ordered was backordered and Floorcraft kept me informed since we were under a timeframe. The flooring came in a week sooner than the manufacturer predicted, and Floorcraft was able to move the install date up a week to make sure my floors were in as soon as possible. They've done a great job refinishing my floors. Just bought a house from the 60s, owner came out and assessed the floors and suggested what would be best. His crew came in, worked around us as we finished some minor work and were extremely helpful. Floors look brand new and wonderful. We had Floorcraft remove the carpets in our master bedroom, closets and part of the living room, and install wood flooring to match the rest of the wood flooring in the living room and kitchen area. They did an excellent job of feathering the new flooring in with the original flooring! You can't even tell where the old and new flooring comes together. The entire flooring looks like it is an original installation. We are very happy with the results! They also put plastic sheeting over everything to keep the dust out during the sanding of the floors. When we went to check things out, there was hardly any dust. There were a few very minor imperfections that they came back and fixed immediately. Also, their recommendations for furniture movers (Two College Guys) and painters (Sweet Coat) were spot on. Great customer service! This is the second time we've had them replace a carpeted area with wood flooring. Their work is consistently top-notch! read more

I am so glad to discover Yelp. I had a home remodeled and hardwood floors added and existing floors redone. The newly installed floor is nice, but it is not in the main part of the house. The majority of the house though already had existing hardwood. The floors had been waxed by previous owners apparently. Wouldn't you think a hardwood floor company would test that before putting a coat of urethane down. Not this one I am now stuck with peeling scratched floors that I need to have redone. I have mentioned this to the owner on 2 occasions and all I get from him is a shrug. Even if the contractor told him to go ahead and do the floors that way, would a reputable company do that. I don't think so. Their are other options out there. read more

I just bought a house built in the 60's and it looked as if the hardwood floors hadn't been maintained in the last 20-30 years. When Floorcraft finished sanding and restaining my floors they looked brand new. I've gotten more comments on my newly finished floors than anything else in my 'new' house- they are BEAUTIFUL! refinished my hardwood floors and they started to scratch right away...looks terrible....looks worse than before, floor scratches from just sliding anything..... they said they would fix it but i would have to move the furniture and find somewhere else to stay while they fixed what should have been done right the first time.... read more
