He then consulted with us, in detail at various points of the project, to ascertain that his remedial actions would be acceptable. He also cheerfully sacrificed his time to employ methods that would entail significantly more time but resulted in the best outcome. We would recommend Ryan without reservations. He toiled non-stop until 11 p.m. on Sunday to ensure minimal disruptions to my week, as he knows I work from home. Despite the grueling schedule, he maintained the most upbeat and pleasant demeanor. When it comes time to replace your flooring, shopping for it starts off fun and exciting but after a while it becomes tedious and confusing. Finding an expert should be at the top of your list before driving all across town. If you're reading this review, hopefully it was before your flooring journey. So what should you look for in a flooring seller? Price? Of course but is price everything? You get what you au for, so do your homework or ask a professional. Selection? This is where it becomes tricky. Every flooring store I visited offered similar brands, so if you found one you like that is carried at all the locations, then it comes down to price. BUT remember, all flooring sellers buy their flooring from the same distributors. So why am I writing this review? Ryan, the owner has a couple of decades of flooring experience including installation. Does this make him an expert with your house? Maybe, maybe not but it does give you years of experience to draw from to help with the decision of what type of flooring. Ryan was able to answer all our questions and even provided a couple of referrals for the installation as his company doesn't offer install. Being a sole proprietor business, you are dealing with the decision maker, so if you have a budget to work with, don't be afraid to ask. You'll get a decision right away. UPDATE: I had a licensed contractor come out to replace this faulty flooring job and they told me there is only 1560 sf installed. The owner billed me for 1800 sf. of product and installation charges, as well as overcharged on other invoice line items. I should have 9 extra boxes of flooring and no extra product was left at my home. Owner refuses to refund my money despite his blatant fraud and dishonesty AND faulty, unsafe installation that I have to pay someone else to fix. Check BBB and NV Contractors Board complaints for more information. Unlicensed in both CA and NV so watch out! Ryan, the owner/operator of Just Floor It is very responsive by phone, text and email. His quotes and prices are reasonable. We had Just Floor It put in new LVP for a 3 story townhouse. He sub-contracted out the work to Caesar and a crew that did not speak English very well but seemed friendly. When the work was done we did a walkthrough ourselves and it was clear that Ryan had not checked the quality of the work. Parts of the floor were buckling and clicking and the stairs were not caulked. He was relatively dismissive of all our concerns, but ultimately had the contractors come back. There were subfloor spots that they had to re-level, short planks they had to cut longer to go up to the walls, a plank under a baseboard heater that needed to be recut, and at least one area where they had laid flooring over construction material (screw head). I spent some time watching LVP flooring online on youtube just so that I had a sense of what could be done and what couldn't. With a lot of complaining we got most of the flooring to an acceptable level. What was left was the front door transition that was not seated properly (photo attached). Caesar came back twice, and instead of seating it properly he just added caulk to the gap both times (photo attached). We had held back $500 payment as suggested by Ryan, assuming that was enough incentive to properly seat the transition but apparently it was not. We spoke with three flooring companies that just didn't feel right for various reasons before we met Ryan from Just Floor It and hired them to remove our carpets and install LVP. The company name is fitting, as they completed our entire house in 6 days including baseboards and paint and drove to South Lake Tahoe from Reno and back each day. These guys are artists and after looking over the entire house, I would characterize their work as flawless. After the first two days, I also trusted their installers with a key to our home, which I never do. I've gone through several remodels over the years, and this is the ideal experience. You can add on services to your estimate such as moving furniture for you, painting the baseboards, and I imagine more. These guys made life easy when it mattered most. read more

Tl;dr: Just Floor It did an incredible job replacing my floors and you will also be overjoyed if you hire them. Just Floor It! did a fantastic job replacing all the floors in my house (1250 sq. ft.) in two and a half days, transforming the floors from crappy and shoddily installed to beautiful solid works of art I did not even know they could be. Other quotes I got said it would take at least a week so this was fast! but not at the expense of quality. Rewinding a bit: Five months after buying my first house, I had a leak in the living room and water damage meant a bunch of the floor had to be pulled up. Luckily, this was covered by insurance - and Ryan (owner/sales) was really fast to respond to my plea for help and provide a thorough, reasonable estimate for me to submit to the insurance company. He accepts a bunch of different payment methods, billing was online and that part couldn't have been easier. Ryan made it really easy to choose new flooring, with a super helpful website and delivery(!) of lots of floor samples to live with and choose from. He gave great advice based on his experience and my needs (considering things in addition to aesthetics like my cat/waterproof flooring, what insurance would cover, etc.). He never rushed me or pressured me to choose, even when I was agonizing over two floors that were essentially the same. Also, my ceiling needed to be replaced and other drywall and painting done before he could actually replace the floors. This part of the project turned out to be kind of a nightmare that involved the NV State Contractors Board and many delays. Ryan was extremely patient and flexible throughout all of that (for months) and excellent about following up and staying in touch, even while on vacation! I scheduled and cancelled several times. Ryan is also super kind and honest and personable - just the kind of person you want to be working with on a project that can take a significant amount of time and people in your home. During a pandemic! Ryan was always great with covid precautions too, wearing a mask each time he arrived and keeping it on even when we talked outside while looking at samples. He was professional and considerate and excellent at making sure my cat didn't escape too - my cat was thwarted every time! :-) Back to present day - David and Ivan did an excellent, impressive job installing the flooring I chose. They went out of their way to make sure that I could use the parts of my house I needed to, both while they worked and at the end of each day, moving furniture accordingly. Their cleanup at the end of each day was incredible! Everything neatly piled, out of the way, and no debris/flooring stuff anywhere. They probably kept my floor cleaner than I would have. They moved a bunch of my furniture and treated it with the utmost care - everything remained in perfect condition. Seriously amazing. The process could not have been easier for me (and my cat! who did go into work with me one day while they did the floors in the room where I work from home). David and Ivan were also professional, nice, and true craftsmen - people I was happy to have in my home. There were a few very minor things that needed attention after they finished and Ryan came right away and fixed them. It was very obvious that Ryan, David and Ivan care a lot about their work and making sure I am happy with it and if I ever need help with flooring again, I will definitely be calling them! read more

Had an appointment set up for Saturday at 11:00 for an employee, Ariel, to come take measurements and see our house to give us an estimate for installing our laminate flooring. At 11:31 I called to see where she was, because we were waiting about the house planning our day around this appointment. The man I spoke to said Ariel was in Tahoe and he'd have her contact me to come get the measurements done. At 2:20 I still haven't heard back from anyone at the company about getting our appointment scheduled or if Ariel was in fact going to show up or reschedule our appointment. I decided to go with Just Floor It for a complete re-flooring of my 4BR home after collecting several good bids, and then only after another guy who seemed equally competent gave me a run-around regarding start dates during the contract signing process. Ryan Gauge (the owner of Just Floor It) had bid the job slightly higher but was a class act every step of the way. There's no question going with Ryan was the right move. I don't know if Ryan bids and supervises all of his jobs but after seeing his work and workers, I'd have plenty of faith in anyone he hires. My job was also run out of his new Reno location (which hadn't even officially opened to the public yet) and presumably staffed by new employees, but between the quality of their work and their professionalism, you'd these guys had been working for Ryan for ten years. I own a few properties and have remodeled all of them, and having been a contractor in a past life I usually go DIY except for the really big jobs like this one (plus I know that flooring is NOT the type of work where 99% good is still "good enough"). Additionally, this job was complicated by a tight time schedule, winding stairwells, 2 types of material in 4 colors, and radiant floor heating in 2 rooms. Accordingly, I had overthought the job compared to just about any other customer and had lots of detailed questions that might normally make other contractors run away (given the choice, most contractors would prefer customers who are not smart and detail-oriented). Ryan answered all of my questions with a smile, and since he took the extra time to explain everything, I knew I was getting nothing but the correct answers. It was also clear from the start that Ryan wasn't like other contractors who need to rely on specific employees who are more expert than him; he spoke from experience of having laid hundreds of floors. It's now been close to a year since Just Floor It laid my new floor and, in my experience, any flaws would have become evident by now. In this case there are none. In fact, there were two details in the new floors that I THOUGHT were of concern, and when Ryan told me they were issues that would resolve themselves after the floor had a few weeks to settle, of course I thought he was just blowing me off. Nope. The issues seriously went away on their own just like Ryan said they would. Furthermore, 2 months after the job was done when I had a change-order to add a bathroom I had previously not wanted done, Ryan was very fair with his pricing and had someone complete the work within the same month. I'm now very happy with my new floors and happier still that I have Just Floor It standing behind the work should anything ever go wrong. I bought only the most durable materials so I expect these floors to last decades, and have every reason to suspect that these floors will last the test of time. After waiting 8 weeks for Home Depot to do a floor installation at one of my rental units and then having them cancel the day before at 4pm, I was desperate to get the floors installed because the unit was already rented and new renter was anxious to get moved in. First of all, Ryan is a delight. Super responsive, kind, and thorough. The initial quote was for him to install radiant mats and Pergo flooring for the whole house, but in the end we decided to just do the upstairs. Ryan was very communicative and had a crew out to the house within a week--though he offered to come sooner.
