I cannot say enough good things about this company. They listened to what our expectations and dreams were for our remodel then make them a reality. Everyone was so professional and went above and beyond our expectations with the quality of their work. They were attentive to detail. My husband had urgent surgery just as the work started. We had to live in our home with the major remodel of two bathrooms, kitchen, hallway, and living room was going on. They made it possible for us to live in the home comfortably while the 10-week remodel took place. The ADA bathroom they designed for my handicap husband is amazing! They made sure he was able to function in it. The remodel has now been done for 6-weeks. A couple of minor things needed attention. They have been right there to make there to take care of them. Having them in charge of making sure all the subcontractors did their jobs when expected. If there was a problem with them, DreamMakers took care of communicating with them about the issue. We absolutely feel we got our monies worth. People walk into our 40-year-old home and comment how they feel as though they are walking into a newly built home. An unfortunate waste of time for our family. We requested a bid for the complete remodel of two small bathrooms in our modestly sized home. Shawn did a walk-through on a Wednesday morning and promised us a quote by the end of the week or Monday of the following week. After those dates had passed, we sent a follow-up email asking if the bid would be completed soon. It's been more than two weeks now since our walk-through and we have not heard a word from Shawn or anyone from the design team. I am not inclined to beg for an estimate from them. As a family with small children, it takes a lot to coordinate appointments and we do not at all appreciate the lack of respect that this company has shown us by wasting our time. read more

We hired Dreammaker for a kitchen renovation and bathroom countertop replacement project. They were great to work with and professional. When any inevitable issues arose, Dreammaker handled everything and held contractors accountable and took full responsibility to ensure high quality. The project was finished in a timely manner and we are very satisfied with the finished project. Amy, Lynnette, Steve, and Todd were all great to work with and communication was great. I've read the other reviews and feel bad some people had such issues with these folks. But, our experience was the opposite and very positive. They (Mark Gonda) came out and we showed him what we wanted done to remodel our guest bathroom. He gave us a time and cost estimate. We went to their showroom and picked out the tub, flooring and tile. We went to Lowe's and bought the sink, cabinet and other little stuff that's part of any bathroom remodel. It's not that they didn't have all that or could order it for us, but that we wanted to pick out our own, see it and touch it kind of experience. The worker (Shaun) came out and put it all together on four different trips, and under the estimate. I know absolutely nothing about remodeling or how that kind of stuff works, but the bathroom looks very nice, we got everything we wanted in a reasonable amount of time and we're happy with the result. We recently had our master bathroom remodeled by Dream Maker Kitchen and Bath. We are very pleased with the finished product! Working with Jeremy, Stephanie, Todd and Cody was very easy and stress-less. They worked with what we wanted, gave us a variety of products to choose from, and answered all questions, no matter how crazy. Work was done within the time given. Everything was going good; Then it wasn't! The majority of my project is done but they just couldn't finish the complete job they were contracted to do. So sad. One of the owners, Dawn, was beyond rude to me in an email, after almost 400,000.00$$ worth of business to her company!!! Shame on you. Your customers are your bread and butter, and to be treated poorly in the end just no excuse. I'm done with Dream Makers Kitchen and Bath. My recommendation don't ever start with this company- you'll won't get your work completed, and you will probably at some point get a verbal lashing from Dawn. Good luck! read more

Just wanted to write an update since the business replied to the previous review. I really wanted to give a great review. I was told this project would take 2 days, 3 days at the most. The project took over 8 visits over the entire summer, and it wasn't because there was a problem that made the job harder. I want to make clear that this was not a supply issue. It was a time management issue. I had windows installed but not sealed for weeks. When I climbed up to look on the 2nd story for another reason, I noticed the trim wasn't painted up there, at least for the window I saw. I already declined the need to paint the inside since I was tired of people coming inside so many times. I had asked many times that I rather wait for a full available day to work on the inside Instead of multiple partial days but that wasn't easy to accommodate, even though someone was home everyday to open the door. There was no quality control over site. When I pay a real company to do work, I expect to have a project manager to crack the whip on the job. I feel like I paid big company price tag for a side hustle gig. The windows look good. I'm not sure if I notice any difference in insulation with hot or cold air. There are small areas where I will need to add more caulk in the corners. I can do it myself. I had plan to use this company for other home projects if I had a better experience. The potential is there but I didn't get that experience. read more

Dream nightmare is what they should be called. They promised to not do other jobs while working on mine but only worked 3-4 hrs and some days did not show. The bathroom remodel was to take 10 days and took 95 days. Didn't get the sink I ordered. Workers constantly on cell phones. Delay in supplies. Tried to give me a shower I didn't want. Let's be honest. Construction is difficult and painful. My first experience was so horrific it took 3 decades before I could even consider trying again. I moved to Sparks and found a home where I loved the kitchen and hated the bathroom. It screamed 2001 with its fake marble fiberglass enclosure, cheap cabinetry and metal rimmed frosted glass doors. And there was no bathtub -- a big problem for me as I much prefer baths to showers. I knew I needed a one-stop shop where every aspect of my project could be handled by one company. DreamMakers was that company. I'm very glad I chose them as they listened and met every requirement I had. I found everyone involved to be respectful, professional, friendly, and customer oriented. Not one thing was damaged inside my home during this project and the work site was cleaned and cleared of debris and tools each day. When people see my new bathroom, the response I get every single time is "wow." The design, spearheaded every step of the way by Jennifer, is everything I could have hoped for and an exact match to my vision of how my perfect bath and shower would look. I could go on about how exceptional and enjoyable the design process was, but all you really need to do is look at the before and afters posted here. The tile work in particular was impressive thanks to Josh and his expertise and attention to detail. Frankly, there were several minor issues (as with all construction projects), but what mattered to me was they were remedied to my satisfaction. After 2 months and at least 4 missed appointments (set up by Shawn), we don't even have a bid for a small pantry project. On the first phone call, I was excited to finally find a contractor who sounded like a one stop shop for electrical, painting, framing, etc. I feel like it was a situation of over promising with what they can/will do and under delivering on all of it. I believe their main focus is bigger and more expensive projects so if you are a big name in Reno/Sparks area or have tons of $$, they might be a good fit. In fact, they acted quite the opposite....Very arrogant and condescending towards us regarding all matters of concern. And...I have photos of the pornography. I just didn't think I would be allowed to post them on this website. It was not done by a disgruntled employee...It was done by a current employee of DreamMaker. Dawn....I have sent you and your corporate office the photos! I am more than happy to share them! And, they fired the carpenter in question months later for other issues, not because of the work he performed on our house. They attempted to tell us everything was fine! That's why we filed the complaint. REVIEW RE: DREAM MAKER KITCHEN AND BATH. First off, Dream Maker Kitchen and Bath should change their name to Nightmare Kitchen and bath. A four week project that took 9 months! The incompetence level from top to bottom is simply astounding. These fools couldn't even understand their own contract. I was supposed to get cabinets in the color of Dorian Grey. They proceeded to put in white cabinets. I believe this was done purposely for their convenience! When I called them out on it, the next day, they came to my home with Dorian grey paint. I told them that was unacceptable. No communication for weeks. The project could have at least had more than one plug outlet, especially in a "Master Bathroom," to accommodate an electric toothbrush, blow dryer, water pic, rechargable electric razor, etc. My guest bathroom has at least 4 multiple outlets. The project managers and owners are total idiots! So that being said, they did put in one towel bar, which is about 5 feet from the shower door. Golly, geewiz how thoughtful these MORONS are! Now, I have to go out and purchase a towel bar to put it closer to the shower. Both of the sinks have very little water pressure, just lovely! Beware of the incompetent couple and the very forgetful Shawn Covin. Do yourselves a favor and stay far away from this incompetent company! Their showroom and design center is filled with different room samples of their work and it's quite impressive. They pay attention to the details which is exactly what I was looking for. The owners are extremely polite, professional, helpful and very skilled/knowledgeable of each step of the design/remodeling process. I want my dream kitchen and to enjoy the actual experience of getting it and I look forward to contracting with them in the future. If your looking to remodel I would suggest that they be your first phone call. read more

I contacted Eric S. at DreamMaker to have my redwood deck cleaned and sealed, along with getting a bid on siding and windows. Eric had Rusty B. come over, gave a bid, which I accepted and came out with his son the following weekend. Everything was done in one day and it turned out beautiful!! Rusty and his son were so conscientious and meticulous making sure every nook and cranny was cleaned and sealed. Obviously, they took pride in their workmanship, which is hard to find. I'm having windows installed and Rusty will be installing those also whenever the windows arrive from the midwest. DreamMaker is fortunate to have Rusty and his son as employees. I met with three options through HomeAdvisor for a total Kitchen and home remodel that involved needing to knock down load-baring walls, adding beams, etc. DreamMaker was heads above the rest in every category. They were polished and professional, a true one-stop shop, solution oriented and eager to work together. As with any quickly growing business, there have been times when responsiveness, organization and communication were not exact. As a business owner, I have some forgiveness for folks who suddenly find themselves drinking from a firehose. Fast forward to when the job started during COVID - the team on the job is making this process as painless as possible. Highly communicative and solution-oriented. Our lead Tony is highly conscientious and also doesn't seem to rest. I feel like we're in really good hands and I feel comfortable with him and the whole team around. Obviously, all the other workers and subcontractors have been lovely to work with as well. Tony as lead seems to be going above and beyond to make sure we are in the know and his needs are also communicated ahead of time so there's no confusion and expectations are managed. Every contractor we know seems to shudder when they see what the builders of our house did. Tony is no different but he seems genuinely willing to make it right on this go-around. It's really reassuring for people like us who don't have much and have decided to dump everything to keep living where we love. We may have spent a little more with DM to have a one-stop shop but I feel certain the job will be done right and on time with some flexibility on our part b/c of the pandemic. Paying for peace of mind is worth every penny in my book! read more

Where should I start!? In Nov 2019 I was looking for a contractor in the incline village NV area to get some remodeling done. I came across this horrific company on google, have them a call, and explained to them what I am looking for, the scope do work, and my very strict budget ( I'm a flipper) so needed to get things done quick and at a fair price ( by fair I don't mean cheap or lowballing, I mean FAIR). Initially I got in contact with Shawn, who is one of the owners of this place. After my clear explanation, Shawn states that my budget was totally attainable and in fact he can stay well below that. In order to get the ball rolling, he told me to come in to his "new showroom". The weekend that followed this conversation we set up an appointment, we met, and he was even nice enough to "DO ME A FAVOR" as he stated to go check the project site. (Isn't this your job?) ANYWAYS, going on I ignored that comment and tried to trust his recommendations. One thing he kept stating is to directly call him because he works with anotherr guy Mark, who wouldn't want to work on this project, but he stated "I can get it done for you". I live in the Bay Area Ca and after our meeting, several weeks go by and he calls back and says, " come in and ppl know your material and whenever you are ready I can order all the material. Attthis point I have asked him for the contract for a week. He told me as soon as you choose everything I will send you the contract and we can be really specific on it. Once again I fall for his BS, and take my partners, spend $1000 to stay close by to meet him( thinking this is legit). We met, we chose material colors etc. and that Time we met Mark. Totally dry guy who totally tried to change things around, and in front of him is when Shawn and his wife ( who claims she is only sometimes there, but when we first met said that she runs the show). 3 days go by I have no contract. I ask again. 1 week later ( January 2020) Shawn sends me aa text saying "sorry I'm telling you this in the 11th of the 12th hour but we can't do the job, because you keep adding things on and want it for the same price. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THIS IS THE WORDS OF HIS PARTNER MARK. I HAVENT ADDED ANYTHING AND IN FACT TOOK THINGS OUT OF THE PROJECT. these guys are aware I am an investor working with oof her investors , they kept the fire hot until it really came down to business. When I called back they would put me on 30 min hold and then hang up and Shawns wife would text me "sorry Hese busy" THIS IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! This company is a scam! They also told me thEy did Jennifer Lopez house IN Los Angeles BLABLABLA - bunch of bull. I do not recommend anyone even start to discuss any type of project with these incompetent "contractors" what a joke! read more
