Nearly a month ago I had reason to contact my propane supplier re: a possible leak. Several days…read morelater I was checked by a technician with faulty equipment. They recommended a plumber who delivered a scenario (verbally) that was out of sight (financially) and not in the least practical. I then contacted AmeriGas and spent nearly four hours on the phone attempting to get an appointment. This increased to over five hours over the next ten days and I never did get anyone out to the house. Finally, I called Pacific Coast Propane and talked with Tina, appointment set, the next day Joaquín the technician was there early, diagnosed the problem and explained the possible solutions. The fix was agreed on and several days later he was here, fixed the problem which required moving the tank. Several days later Aaron called to let me know he was enroute to fill the tank. Five minutes later he was there and did his thing, Now, why am I responding to this contact? Peoria Az. may be many things, but good timely service is not one of them. Tina , Joaquin and Aaron are three exceptional employees, They were courteous, polite, friendly, open when describing the concerns I had and the various methods of fixing the problem. In these days of the SCAM it almost sounded to good to be true. These three individuals in every way are outstanding representatives of your company. They are obviously members of a close team that knows how to treat potential and now permanent customers. OH! AmeriGas? The day after Aaron filled the tank I received a phone message to call about an appointment, only took them three weeks!

Two days in I drove an engine bolt through my new drive tire the lot was a wrecking yard for 20 years I know of and they laid a few inches of crushed asphault over all the debris and as soon as I run it over it pops up I have buckets after a few months they started making up past due balance. It was another two weeks before I can get it back to them didn't want to take off work. They said they could not exchange it and give me a replacement they had to set it up for repairs. They told me I should have it by next Wednesday or Thursday that did not happen they said they had to order a new control board for it few days later the technician called me and said he couldn't find anything wrong with it I told him I was using it on to 10 not 2:20 so he said he would test it out they call me back and said they had to order a control board for it and I'd have it back by Thursday or Friday that didn't happen so the manager over said he ordered it overnight still didn't get my machine back when I did get my machine back I brought it home and no wire speed control adjustment.they had it for 2 weeks didn't repair it. When I requested details of the inspection she admitted they spray soap on the lines.... What a rip-off!!!! I will NOT be paying that and after the corner gas station refills my tanks, I will take the $69 and have me the best sushi dinner ever!!! Stay away from these scammers. UPDATE: after a canned response from the Regional Manager claiming it's for MY safety... Here's what he said: "Our line inspection fee is standard and ensures your safety. During the inspection, we perform a pressure test on your gas line through your home to ensure that there are no leaks. We also inspect your propane tank from top to bottom along with your propane appliances." so Mr. Manager, who asked you to perform any tests??? The tanks and the regulator is your responsibility I understand (soap test) the rest of the infrastructure is MY responsibility. If I need the pipes/stove inside my house to be inspected I would hire a licensed inspector. You don't seem to get that you're using words like "risk" and "safety" to extort $69 from customers when AGAIN, all you need to do is a soap test on the regulator and the tank fittings THAT'S IT, that's all you are liable for in case of an incident, and you know it!!! So if you do your JOB RIGHT with the tanks there's no problems is there???
