Hobby Lobby is well ... Hobby Lobby. If you know you know. If you don't I will explain. Hobby…read moreLobby's the world over have got to be some of the most consistent places known to mankind. It's downright eerie. Every Hobby Lobby is staffed with the same identical employees. I don't have any hard proof yet,but I suspect that they are cloned from the five original employees being kept cryogenically frozen in a secrete warehouse somewhere deep in the Nevada desert, before being shipped out to their stores. Each location has the same bunch of overflowing aisles, overwhelming the senses with excited women and teenagers desperately searching for that special something. If they can't find that something special they'll just settle for anything, because by entering a Hobby Lobby they've already agreed to the unspoken rule requiring they buy something while their tag along husbands and boyfriends wear the same bored or exasperated looks. Hobby Lobby will have what you need if you go there. Because if you think you need something from Hobby Lobby then you already know they will have it. There just isn't any point in comparing this H.L. to any other Hobby Lobby because they are ALL identical, in each and every way: wonderful, packed with people and merch, and guaranteed to be wherever you need one.

This time was no different but what was unfortunate is we were getting two memory foam mats and they were different colors and one had no tag on it. So we told them and she was very rude stating well it's not the same one so it's a different price and it's part of textiles and not the spring shop so they looked it up online and the price was more than the other one. Well, they looked at the wrong one because after we left the store, we did not purchase the mat because it was more money, I found it on the website and it was under the spring shop and it was the price that we thought it was. So now we got to miss out on the mat that we wanted when it was the last one and it's sold out online. I really wish they would be trained to be nicer to customers because it's very frustrating. I swear it's a requirement when they're hiring people that they need to be rude.

I did my due diligence before hiring Rigid Masonry and checked the Arizona ROC website for the…read morestatus of their license. I wanted a licensed contractor to insure there was no complications with the construction and I was within all legal rights to have a fence built on my property. I wanted my project designed by a engineer which it was, I wanted a project with no complications. There was a active license on the Arizona ROC website with Travis Zinner the owner of Rigid Masonry. We put down a sizeable deposit with Rigid Masonry on the construction of a block wall, and a retaining wall. For a permit to be issues the retaining wall had to be designed, engineered and structurally built to meet the requirements of Pinal county. The engineering plans set us back months until the wall could be started. Somewhere during this time the license of Rigid Masonry was no long active, it had been either suspended or revoked. In so being the owner of Rigid Masonry never informed us that they no longer had a license to do the work. Pinal county inspected the construction twice, the trench was wide enough nd deep enough. There was enough rebar laid to add strength to the concrete footer. Pinal county never said anything at this point that there was a construction problem and to stop work. When the wall was 70% complete we received a notification from Pinal county to stop work. The wall was being built in accordance with the permit Pinal county approved, but now Pinal county is disputing that permit. With our attorney we had appear before the Pinal county board of supervisors to plead our right to complete this wall. One of the newest supervisors on the board who made the most sense said we have issues these people a permit and the wall is built according to this permit so who would pay to demolish this wall. The wall was allowed to be finished. During this time Rigid Masonry had abandoned this project which is why we hired a attorney. Rigid Masonry made no attempt to meet with the Pinal county board of supervisors or argue in support of the permit we paid for under our cost of construction to Rigid Masonry. At this time Rigid Masonry which when I later checked the Arizona ROC website, Rigid Masonry had no active license. After the Pinal county stop work order had been removed I called Rigid Masonry and informed them the wall could be completed. I was informed by Travis Zinner the owner of Rigid Masonry that when he has to stop and restart a job the client has to pay for that time loss. Travis Zinner told me that he would forgo the additional charge. Rigid Masonry has no license at this time. We had several change orders to this project, adding courses of block to the wall, extending the opposite wall. The construction of the retaining wall and privacy fence was complete. Rigid Masonry was paid in full and we were told a finalized approval of a signed off permit from Pinal county would be in our hands later that day. Within a week I receive a notification from Pinal county that my wall was not constructed per their directive on the plans of the permit. If I failed to correct this within their allowed time I was going to be fined for these violations. I hired what I thought was a professional licensed contractor who failed to follow directions. A complaint was filed with the Arizona ROC and a meeting was called. My attorney was also present and Travis Zinner made a statement that I did not know how to handle Pinal county. He also said he refuses to work with any attorney. That statement should tell you that his business practices might be questionable at best. Travis Zinner abandoned the construction project when he walked away and failed to provide a signed final approved Pinal county permit, as he said he would. The Arizona ROC suspended Rigid Masonry license (which was already suspended) and told them they were to pay for the demo of the wall. Nothing was ever followed through or checked on. Rigid Masonry had no contact with me after the meeting was held on my property. I lost over $12,000 in this project. I had to have over 60 feet of wall totally demolished and courses of block removed. I paid for 40 feet of wall extension that if the fence was built correctly 30 feet of the 40 feet would have fallen under the cost of the initial construction cost. I was awarded for a second time the cost of demolition of the wall. Strangely as this seems, with Arizona law I am not awarded what I paid to have that section of wall built. I have to go through civil court for this. I also blame Pinal county. Totally incompetent. They inspected the footer for the wall, the trench before the rebar was laid and the concrete poured at least twice and in so being which plans did they themselves use to insure that the construction project was being built correctly. Why did Pinal county not insure that when Rigid Masonry filed a for a permit, that Rigid Masonry had a license of construction for a project of over $30,000.00?

If you need a custom home built then you would be in better hands elsewhere. I could not recommend them less. ----‐---------------- We started this process on good footing, we spent time getting to know their team, talking through the project and setting expectations. We read their positive reviews and they put on a good face. But soon after construction started we realized that this team is completely out of their depth. As a whole they are destructively uncommunicative and are outright deceitful, Cesar their GC, and Katherine one of the business owners, particularly so. When problems were encountered, instead of working through solutions together, their strategy was to stall for as long as possible and to ignore our attempts to keep the project moving forward. Their behavior cost us months of delays which resulted in thousands of dollars lost, needless worry and lasting issues with our home and property. If you decide to move forward with this team, please keep record of every interaction, be extremely specific in your contract, and keep your attorney on hand. After our move in, and after clear explicit instructions from me on numerous occasions, business owner Katherine illegally and covertly recorded the exterior and interior of our property on multiple occasions, including video recording me inside of my home while I was unaware. Katherine and the rest of the team do not care about legality, your privacy, or the basic respect of their clients. During the build they tried their best to get more money out of us while delivering substandard work. The only way we were able to move into the home after many months past our projected move in date and many weeks spent in extended stays was by going around them to schedule our final inspection with the county, by communicating with our title company & lender, by filing complaints with the BBB and ROC. Stay on top of your project. If you are providing custom architectural plans, please know that the time, money and planning that went into your build documents mean nothing to them, they will do as they please without your intervention. Consent is not a word in their vocabulary. They changed our home and design, damaged our newly installed materials and appliances, illegally dumped their waste on our property & refused to properly clean up, refused to do work explicitly outlined in our contract, and attempted to cut corners at every turn. They're unwilling to learn, improve or accept responsibility. Through my interactions with this team I have come to learn what the term "gaslighting" means. They continued to smile in my face, offering pleasantries and small talk, expecting me to quickly move past their damaging behavior while their actions and words remained persistently harmful. Save yourself the trouble.
