The man working in the store explained to us that a few years ago when buffalo meat became so popular, they found that the hides and skins were going to landfills and only the meat was used. Arrangements were made and now amazingly gorgeous handcrafted work is available to you and me. Exquisite soft leather formed in to luscious deep couches and chairs just begging to be sat in fill this entire store. Some of the chairs and ottomans are covered in soft, cushiony sheared buffalo fur. There are bed throws and rugs as well and believe me, your feet just sink right in to these rugs. There was a very unusual rug in the store that was made from strips of soft buffalo leather and it was unique and interesting. I couldn't help but keep running my hands over it. The store smells of buttery, well worked leather and puts you in to a bit of a sensory experience as you sit down on one of their deep, soft chairs. There's plenty of unusual, wood pieces in the store as well like lamps, tables and art pieces. When I hit the lottery I'm coming back here and outfitting my entire house.

I had all my cabinets and vanities stripped and refinished by Tom, Greg and their people…read more They were booked out a couple months for in home refinishing but I brought the vanities (2 Vanities and 1 hall cabinets) and they got them all out before my deadlines. They were honest and kept me informed throughout the process and even tried to move me up by several weeks on the kitchen in home part, but I was sick. The staff were all friendly and professional and respectful of me and my home. They were almost always on time or early, one day they had to reschedule the refinishing due to crew illness but called me the night before. The pricing was very competitive so keep that in mind if you want it now, they are very busy! They are one of the only places with an actual stripping dip tank. They told me they are looking for new property to move to as they have sold the land where they currently are so while relocating things may get bumpy but a new facility will allow for higher volume! I will definitely return for future projects!

I was referred to Tom and Allisons Wood Finishing, come to find out it was under new ownership,…read moreJoe. Still gave them a shot. I used Joe for a somewhat large project, refinishing the cabinets in 2 bathrooms, a hallway built-in linen closet and a guest house bathroom and kitchenette. The quality of the actual paint job was good. Scheduling and coordinating were rough, a 2 day job turned into a 5 day job when some crew didnt show up and left 1 guy alone for a day, and another day was lost because they didnt have the cabinet hardware available and needed to order from Amazon, despite knowing weeks ahead of time we wanted soft close door hinges added. But could have lived with that. The really unfortunate thing, was cleanliness. The mess was absolutely horrible. I stressed beforehand how sensitive my wife is to dust, and Joe assured me dust wouldn't be an issue but that the paint smell could be strong. We could deal with paint smell, dust was our concern. One of the bathrooms was a Jack and Jill bathroom, with a door from the bathroom leading into my daughter's room and another into a toy room. No drop clothes were used, no plastic, they left the door into my daughter's room wide open while they sprayed the cabinets. There was literally overspray dust 2mm thick throughout my daughter's entire room. Her bedding, the carpet, the wall art, her stuffed animal collection, her lego collection. She was devastated. How do you clean lego sets with that much dust? Similar throughout the other areas... they left doors open while they sprayed, and there was so much dust accumulation that it took 3 days and over a thousand dollars to clean up between cleaners and carpet cleaners. We had to purchase some specialty filters for areas in the home to get the dust out of the air, and my wife's lungs were wrecked. They were also paid to drill new holes in the cabinet doors for new knobs. They left a pile of wood dust in every single drawer they drilled a hole for. I called Joe and he was adamant that this was not how they do things, he wants to make it right, etc. I sent him pictures, he said he would get back to me. He didn't. I had to follow up again nearly 3 weeks later asking what the deal was. He did respond, and offered me a very small refund "for the additional time spent cleaning". It wouldn't have covered even 25% of what I spent to clean up after them.

Irwin's is equal in service, value and exquisite results. I had a beautiful rosewood pedastal that I thought was a common wood and held off about 20 years thinking it would be costly to refurbish. I had to get a cabinet redone because during my one year inspection, the builder had to replace one of them. We all know when it comes to wood and finishes, it can be a huge miss (hence why I had to find someone). Upon dropping it off, Donald let me know that he could probably get it to a 90% match. If he didn't have it tagged, I would've thought the one he did was the original. I am so very thankful and pleased with the outcome! As you can see with the before pictures, he had his work cut out. I highly recommend Irwin's for any restoration needs. You're in great hands with your furniture needs if you choose this business. Thank you!

I finally found a store close by, to repair my one-of-a-kind Bolivian lapis lazuli and sterling bracelet. Ariana helped me with my jewelry repair order: explaining how they would clean out the bezel (the groove the stone fits inside of), straighten it and then pop stone right back into it, with some glue of course. I was thrilled to pick up my bracelet, looking good as new and wearable again. Yay ~ I've missed you old friend! After that, I couldn't help but notice their collection of vintage sterling rings and pearls, as well as rare and unusual pieces, like a sterling silver Tiffany flask from 1911. Yes 1911!
