I went into this office to get a consultation on a possible root canal. My appointment was for 3:00 p.m. I called to confirm my time and I was told that they had an opening and I could go in at 2:00. When I walked to the back, it was dark and dreary. I was told they needed photos. The dental assistant dropped a cracked exam vest over me. I asked if I could put my purse somewhere rather than on my lap under the heavy vest. I had a collar shirt and the ripped plastic vest scratched my neck. When I mentioned they needed a new one the assistant replied, "no, it's fine". The vest had a plastic dry clean bag over it, but it did not cover the ripped plastic. I felt as though the vest did not come high enough above my chest, and that night I had a tingle in my chest. I wanted to document in case I was exposed to the radiation. I felt as though the assistant didn't care if I was and would have wanted me to be exposed intentionally. They did a cold test on my tooth and told me I needed a root canal through my crown. I later found out the pain was from a filling that was too deep. It was the wrong tooth!! While I was speaking with the dentist, someone came in and started spraying and wiping down the counter, and changing the plastic covering on the light above me. When the Dental Assistant, (notice I did not say the dentist) came in to explain what work would need to be done she first said, "you probably know what needs to be done since you already have a crown". I told her, "no, it has been a couple of years since I had my crown". She seemed bothered to have to explain what would be done. I thought maybe I was the last patient and as soon as I was gone they could leave. The assistant gave me the cost, $1,180 for the wrong tooth. Stay clear from this office. After my visit I did a Google search for best dentist in the East Valley. Surprise, they are not one of them. read more
