I recently had an issue with an online return and had been on hold for almost an hour with no response, and even tried emailing Concierge with no luck. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because I do agree that some items here are a little bit overpriced. But hear me out. Aritzia clothing are of premium quality. I have pieces here that's been with me for years. The only reason I stopped wearing them is because I got tired of wearing for too long. 2 years I think is too long to wear the same jacket/coat lol. I'll give you a tip, you should ask one of the staff (the one you like, honest and not pushy) to be your SA. Here are the reasons why: 1. You don't have to deal with SAs you don't like. 2. You can make appointments through your personal SA and you will have the clothes in your fitting room ready for you. 3. You don't have to waste time looking for the pieces you like. 4. You don't have to line up. 5. If you find items that are sold out, your SA can monitor and order for you when the items become available. 6. You can order by texting your SA and you can have it delivered to your house. 7. And last but not least, your SA can let you know when the new pieces are coming in and will recommend pieces which you might like. If you have your own personal SA, she would know your size and your style. It's easier to shop this way specially when items are only available in the store and of course no one wants to be in crowded places these days. My SA from Metrotown Aritzia is Jamie H. I highly recommend her. She's stylish, friendly, honest and her service goes beyond customer-seller. She can be your friend lol. If you want to experience great quality service, get your own SA. I've never shopped at a place thats been so stressful. I make a circle of the store and 20 different people are fake smiling at me asking me if I'm ok or if I need help. One time I was debating on a jacket and 2 sales associates began 'fighting' over me, giving me compliments and staring each other down. I was so uncomfortable with both of them standing there, if I wanted so many opinions I'd ask for them or bring a friend. It's like almost don't even talk to other sales associates if one has already talked to you or you'll be cheating on them lol (and even when we don't want to talk to someone you don't have a choice when 20 others are chirping at me). Wow, how many ways can you say "overpriced???" The clothes are incredibly cute, they have a variety of clothes from chic to sporty, and I have to give them a shout out for carrying XXS!! BUT it is really hard for me to drop $400 on a coat. I was trying on several winter coats and the sales girl who helped me was pushy and manipulative as all hell. Whenever I tried a coat on, she would steal the coat hanger so that I would be tied down to the coat. She also tried to get me to buy it and give me the holiday return policy, meaning exchange only. Do they work on commission?? She kept pressuring me to buy the $400 coat, and she was really getting on my nerves. I guess she is doing her job and I'm sure she makes a ton of sales with her vulturey technique, but I kept my mind strong and my values intact...hahaha In the end, I left empty handed and all she had was a big pile of coats to put away. read more

The sales staff are a bit much, they flock around you like you are a peacock and you will be asked about 10 times how are you doing within a couple of minutes even if just browsing. Lets face it who can just browse, I mean I can't. Just picked up the latest Vancouver 2010 Olympic hoodie in the most beautiful blue colour and it is to die for!!! aritzia in Metrotown has extremely poor customer service.i Purchased 3 masks without realized they were linen. I put 1 mask on and instantly got irritated. i Tried to exchange The 2 masks that I did not touch and I was instantly rejected. Working in customer service and retail for years this did not sit well with me. there was no final sale stamp and I was not verbally told. To their defence working in retail I understand masks are final sale but the fact that it wasn't even 10 min after that I tried to exchange only the 2 that I did not wear. I asked to speak to a manager she gave me a glimmer of hope and then shut me down saying I can't prove I didn't wear all 3 when it was clearly obvious. I am extremely disappointed as I've been so excited to try aritzia masks and now I've just waisted my money. I will no longer be supporting aritzia as they time and time again have proven there terrible customer service and empathy towards their customers. I love Aritzia! I've been shopping at Aritzia stores for years. My favorite fashion lines they offer are wilfred (especially the dresses), Talula, and TNA. The clothes are really nice. I've never had any issues with holes or pilling even after washing the items numerous times. Most of the clothes are a bit expensive, but I've had some of the same dresses for years and they look just as good as when I bought them. I will admit some things are ridiculously expensive in the store (like a $1000 jacket I saw a few months ago), but most things are under $150. I finally made it to this store location last week. The selection of clothes was awesome. They were having their spring/summer sale, but you could find every item in a wide variety of sizes. I also found that the sales staff were very helpful (maybe too helpful). At least 5 employees asked me if I needed help, a change room, or if I wanted my items placed behind the till. This almost never happens in clothing stores. The change rooms were a bit small, but even with a huge crowd of people in the store I didn't have to wait for a room. One thing to point out is that cannot bring your purse into the change room. The staff will lock it up until you are finished. I'm sure there is a good reason that this policy is in place, but I feel much more secure keeping my purse with me. Overall, if you're looking for some cute pieces to wear, Aritzia is the place to go. Some items are a bit expensive, but I haven't regretted a purchase I've made from there yet. read more

I visited this Aritzia location last night, expecting to be ignored as I was definitely not dressed to impress and I am older than their typical customers. Instead I was super impressed by the customer service I received from the staff who assisted me on the floor, in the change room area, and at the cash desk. They were all really nice (and not in an overly fake way) and helpful. When I returned home with my purchases I was disappointed to see that a final sale top had a small hole in it. Knowing Aritzia's strict return policies with sale items I was concerned that I would encounter problems trying to return it. Today I went back to the store and exchanged it without any difficulties. The person who helped me at the cash desk was very apologetic, saying that she could order me a brand new top from the warehouse. When she found the same top on the floor she carefully inspected it and allowed me to do the same before doing the exchange. I would give my recent experiences with this Aritzia location five stars but I have to remove one because I despise the company's forced purse/bag lock up for customers, the lack of mirrors in the individual change rooms, and some of the ridiculous 'sale' prices (however I did manage to get a pair of $200 jeans for $99). read more

Metrotown one sucks. No one ever answer the phone line. They order something and after a week passed and no one has called to update me about the ordering. The Coquitlam one was way better. They even called to tell me the order will be delayed. I tried to call Metrotown to inquire about the order but no one ever answer the call. Decent quality and cute styles. But you will notice they use the same styles season after season in different colours. Here is my problem: it is so clear the girls are on commission. If I so much as pick up an item they flock towards me to start a change room and introduce themselves. I have actually had girls fight in front of me over who gets the sale. And as soon as they bring your stuff to the till and put their card on it, you are done and they are on to their next target. Forget it if you want to exchange the item! More fighting over the sale! Metrotown location customer service is by far the worst Aritzia. I had order an item from cashier and when it was time to pick up item, they had ordered the wrong item. Then I had to order again, this time they did not notify me. I had to go to store to check if order had come in after 10 days. Initially, they told me it had not arrived yet and I told them to cancel order. My in store experience was not good at all, so I decided to order online instead. I had ordered a wool coat and it arrived promptly. It didn't fit, so again, I go to Metrotown store to return item. Because it was a sale item, they would only give me a store credit. They would not make refund back to my credit card. I spoke to store manager, that I'd ordered the size I usually wear, but it did not fit. I told her, how was supposed to know how it fits, unless I tried it on. She told me it's the online policy, and she couldn't do anything for me. I quite like aritzia's stuff especially these couple years. I'm pretty obsessed with aritzia and usually always have a fun time even if I ended up not purchasing anything. It's a bit pricey in general but it's pretty worth it most of the time. Decent quality and quite a few different colours, styles and sizes. Coquitlam's aritzia is too small and usually don't have a lot of items. Downtown's is so far my go to although it's pretty crowded. This location (Metrotown) is decent in size so the availability is generally good but the service is HORRIBLE. Nice if you are buying things but usually pretty rude. For example, (today) I was browsing through a section of clothing (didn't move from that spot) and a staff ran into me while passing by with clothes in her hand but without apologizing or even looking back at all she just left. Except a girl named Veronica is pretty nice and suggested to take two pieces of items to the fitting room for me. After a little while of more browsing, I made my way to the fitting room and while standing in line on one side without moving from the spot of even swaying, two more staffs just pushing through and bumped into me to get by without saying excuse me or sorry after they ran into me. Took 3 full minutes (I was first in line and there were at least 3 open rooms) to even get someone to look my way while three other staff was walking around in front of me and the others in line. I even had to say "excuse me" to get one of their attention so I can finally get myself a fitting room. Then in the fitting room I asked for another size from the pieces I chose and a different staff handed me the new piece that I requested. I said thank you but she didn't even look at me and just dropped the piece, turned and left. After the fitting rooms, I brought out the ones I didn't like and handed to a staff on the way out of the fitting room area and said thank you, again..with eye contact this time but no smile or any response she just walked away. This is the only aritzia so far from all other 5 aritzia I've been in (Canada and US) that I've need to experience cold and unfriendly, if not straight up rude staffs. I am never terribly impressed with the girls that work at Aritzia, but alas, I love the clothes, so I always come back. However, when it comes to uberFAIL at customer service, the Metrotown location reigns supreme. Let me start off by saying that I am not a needy customer. For the most part, I don't like to be bothered. I can find my own stuff, grab my own sizes, make my own decisions when it comes to whether or not something looks good. I don't require the employees to go above and beyond, but I do expect them to do their job and follow through on what they tell me. I had found an absolutely gorgeous shirt that I couldn't say no to, but at (I think) $95, I knew I wanted it in another color that they didn't have in stock. I had a girl check out the other stores, and she informed me that Oakridge had one or two in my size. Oakridge being QUITE out of the way for me, I asked to have it brought in. She took down the information, made the order, I paid for the garment, and off I went with a lighter wallet and only a pick-up receipt to show for it. I was told 3 to 5 business days, and I'd receive a call. After a week rolled by, I stopped into the store to inquire. Nothing. Another week rolled by and I was a little more than annoyed. Finally, I went to Oakridge myself to get the shirt, which was still sitting there. I picked it up, tried it on, and it was majorly stretched out. I have a tiny, tiny upper body, and I need my XXS and XXXS shirts to be true to their size, and this one just wasn't. It could've shrunk back up in the wash, but I'm not rolling in dough, and I won't risk being unhappy with an almost one hundred dollar shirt. In the end, I returned the shirt. TERRIBLE experience here. C'mon Aritzia, step it up. read more

I find most of the young teeny boopers that work at aritizia have an attitude problem, profile customers and not interested in helping you if you aren't dressed a certain way or think we can't afford the clothes there (they mostly ignore you)..like HELLO, I AM the one shopping here, YOU are just working there. Don't forget the people that come in probably have careers making more money than you. I went in to find a dress I wanted to purchase in which I saw at the Robson location. The girl was unfriendly, had a bitchy vibe and which makes for a super uncomfortable shopping experience. She said I could order it and get sent to Metrotown for pick up. I asked if Robson had any in stock and she said there was ZERO stock left and seem like she wanted me to hurry and order it right away. I wasn't sure of the size and didn't want to risk ordering it as their return policy isn't that great and their prices are quite expensive as well. Anyways, I ended up going back to the Robson location and there was some in stock! Always very uncomfortable shopping at Aritzia! I find the Aritzia at Pacific Centre and Robson street are a little bit better. read more

I've dropped by the Metrotown location a number of times, and yeah, everything is great. However, every time I've been, what I've noticed most is the complete lack of customer service. No hi, no how are you, no have a good day or thank you. Management needs to have a serious revamp with the team. It doesn't matter if you've got great merch. This is probably one of the most popular stores at every mall for ladies from 16-40. Aritzia certainly has expanded in the last 10 years marking their territory even all the way to Seattle! Aritzia always have nice displays and the store is stylishly renovated and well-organized. The store is huge considering it only sells women's clothing and accessories. I honestly don't understand what the hype is about their lines or styles as they all look the same to me with an over-priced tag. A t-shirt can cost you 40$ vs 10$ elsewhere. I do like the Mackrage brand as they do look more sleek and stylish but other lines like Wilfred is just another marked up brand. On Thursday June 18 I went into Aritzia in Coquitlam centre because my friend who I share an account with told me that she received a phone call. Aritzia is having a private sales. I didn't pay attention to how good the discounts are but I thought I would pay a visit. I went and shopped around and picked up two Wilfred dresses. When I was ready to pay at the counter I told the cashier the name on the account and phone number and expected to have some discount. The cashier told me what I picked up are not included in the sale. I thought that's weird but I trusted the girl. I then called my friend to tell her what I got and my friend said actually "everything is on sale!!" I double checked using the account email and password to log in. YES, those two dresses are 20% off. The girl who represents Aritzia lied to me. The leading fashion company in North America, Aritzia lies to their customers. I again doubled check the name on receipts just in case they pulled a wrong client, but nope, it's the name on our shared account. Ok, no worries, I'll go into the store to refund and purchase online. The very next day I again went into the Aritzia at Coquitlam centre. The same girl helped me at the counter, she asked me why I wanted to refund I told her the reason. I tried to solve the problem and walk away, I did not show my frustration to them. She said ok and grab the dresses and the receipt out of bag, and without me noticing, she grabbed another receipt and showed it to me: this is not the same receipt you purchased the dresses, I can't do refund for you. I was stunned! I was stunned! I tried to explain myself this is not my receipt, I am sure it's in the bag, on top of the dresses. How could I have another receipt that's not mine. Something must be mistaken. She said, no! This is what I got from the bag, I can't refund for you in a very snobbish and impatient way. I looked closely, it shows the client name on the receipt Elizabeth. I'M NOT ELIZABETH, THIS IS NOT MY RECEIPT. A big line up behind me, I felt embarrassed and paniced. They were not helping me to solve the problem, instead they thought I lied and accused me for something I didn't do. I felt I could almost have a panic attack. I told myself what should I do. I reached my hand to the table, my receipt is right there under the dress. And then she saw and said "OPPPPS" I just cannot believe what I just heard! I said at least you could apologize for it. And then she said again with a snobby attitude and tone: "apologize for what??!!" The story here is, I could not believe what I had just experienced. I went into the store happily and thought to buy some summer dresses for this awesome Vancouver weather, but instead I walked out the store with my face beet red. I know this story is rather long, thanks for reading. I don't want any compensation from Aritzia but I do want people to know that how much they can make their customer so uncomfortable and not respectable, and treat their customers with dishonesty, especially when Aritzia is such a big company that always says they are devoted to provide the best services. Great quality, rude bitchy staff, such a high and mighty attitude. Girl named Linda was one of them. I hate being followed around as I love my own space and time to think if I want to purchase a piece or two. When I was approached, asked repeatedly "Are you doing okay? Can I start a room for you?" when I politely declined as I needed time to think, I received an "okay" answer with an attitude. Linda backed off as if I was trying to get close to her when in the first place, she came too close to me. Luckily, there was another girl who smiled at me, and gave me space while I shop. I ended up buying a coat and a couple of long sleeve shirts. I work in health care, and I understand and respect my patients' need for privacy. I feel and hope that these girls take a lesson or two on giving shoppers time and space so customers do not feel pressured or uneasy browsing. I've bought stuff here in the past, but I never will again. All the staff care about is money. I walked around the entire store without a hello, smile, or so much as a glance. There were more employees in the store than customers, so it was not for lack of staff. They had time to talk amongst themselves, text, and look through the racks for their own clothes, but not the basics of customer service. I work for a major retail brand -- if I acted like that, I would be fired. As soon as I picked up a single item, I had five people within two minutes ask me if I need a fitting room or if they wanted me to have them put it up at cash. Their fitting rooms are another thing. There are no mirrors inside the individual fitting rooms, only the big one out in the open. If you want to look in the mirror, then you have to endure the shitty and obvious sales technique of constant flattery so that you buy the item and they get the credit. Even if it looks like crap and I know it, they'll lie through their teeth for a sale. If you decide against the item, before you're even a foot away you can hear them yell across the store "Three was a no-go" or something similar. Are you expecting to guilt people into a sale, or are you going solely for embarrassment? When I walked out with the one item, I had a bunch of people again ask if they should put it behind cash. When I said I was still thinking about it, you could see and hear their false politeness fade away. The one time that I returned something, a girl eyed my bag as I walked in. She was shooting me daggers. As I was leaving, I saw her talking with another girl about the set up of the store, so she might have had some kind of leadership role. If that is who the employees look to for how to act, then its no surprise that the store is like this. Overall, pretty shitty customer service. The majority of the clothing brands at aritzia, are owned by aritzia. Used to carry a variety of different brands and exciting clothes but now everything is exactly the same season after season (with only a change of color). The best part of aritizia is how you are forced to lock your purse up if you want to try something on, like a criminal and there are no mirrors in the change rooms so you are forced to come outside and hear pushy salespeople tell you look great so they make a sale. There are plenty of other stores that far surpass the quality, variety, and sales associate. read more

One of the staff members took down my number, called all around for me, found the right pair, and personally brought them into the store ASAP for me as I needed them right away. I love the clothes. The rating is for the girls work there only. They don't care about customers, only commissions. I had unpleasant shopping experience before, but what happened last month really piss me off. It was weekend. I bought a leather jacket, a cardigan and a scarf. They put everything at the cashier. I was waiting in the line for at least 15mins. When I finally got to pay, there was a rude Asian girl. She made a mistake and charged me with a wrong item. (I guess someone also bought a black leather jacket, but different one,and was mixed with my stuff.) She had this attitude, and did not let me check before I made the payment. She just assumed it was my jacket. I found out it after she handed the bag to me. I told her it's the wrong jacket, then she got really mad and said I should tell her earlier, then started to complain with another girl next to her that she has to redo the check out. It took me another 15mins, and she made me feel that it was my mistake and I was wasting her time. She also forget to take one of the security taps off, and I had to walk back and wait again. No apologize for the whole time!!! I used to work in retail. I know how it feels like when you have to work 6 hours non-stop and serve lots of customers. But it's not the excuse for providing bad customer service. It's the job. If she doesn't like it, go find another job. Store makes up their own rules on exchanges/returns. They said they could order the sale item in for me which they did. I got a call and came in to pick it up. I tried the item in the store and decided it did not fit right. I said I would not be getting the item, then I was told to exchange it with another item which is available in the store only. I looked around for 15 minutes and they had no sizes, nor new styles that I liked (which is the reason why I did a special order in the first place). The cashier said she would have to keep my item until such time I make up my mind on what to exchange it with then she wrote down the policy on my receipt AFTER (exchange at store only). At the time I paid, the cashier did not tell me that I could only exchange the item at the store (no merchandise credit even), and there was no note of the policy in my receipt either. If I had known, I would have just ordered the item online as I would have the option to go to another store that has more stuff. Called customer service and after a long discussion, they said they will make a one-time exception by putting it into a gift card. I recommend just using the store to try for size, buying online then returning for store credit or exchange at the store later on if you change your mind within the time frame given. Stores only care about keeping their commission. read more

I don't really feel like they're really helping in the what looks best department it's more so which items costs the most. And they're all hustling you. I've been shopping at Aritzia for almost 6 years now, and I've been to various locations such as the Calgary store and the San Francisco store. I have never had anything bad to say about the girls who work there. They have always done their best to provide me with clothes they think will suit my "un-Artiziaesque" body type. Meaning I'm not an uber petite tiny girl or a tall willow of a model. However, I visited this location and I was looking for a specific dress. I wandered around the store to see if I could find it myself, and on the second lap a girl asked me how I was doing, and so I took the opportunity to inquire about the dress. She tried to look for it, and it turns out they were sold out. She offered to order the dressfor me, but I really needed to try the dress on (before I dropped 100+ dollars on a garment plus I wanted to wear it the next day). Once I said that she walked away. I have never been treated this way at an Aritzia store before. I was immediately dismissed after I said I would like to try the clothes on before I buy them. She didn't offer to check the other stores for me, didn't offer to help me find something else that would be suitable, and was just all around apathetic towards me as a customer. I will also say that this was on a Monday afternoon with at least 5 staff members in the store and no more than 12 customers. Aritzia needs to take a serious look at this location and train the staff here to be friendly towards their customers. I expected better, and I was sorely disappointed. read more
