As much as I love this brand and have been brand loyal for nearly 10+ years there are certain nuances which push me over the edge with a lot of it pertaining to their packaging. Case in point: I use the 20-25% shea butter hand crème year-round. It's especially useful during the winter months because this hand crème works miracles on my hands. The shea butter keeps them soft, moisturized and supple. The winter weather does a number on my fingertips causing my skin to painfully crack around my fingernails. Iykyk! My biggest pet peeve and why I'm giving this place 3 stars is due to the packaging for this hand crème. I've posted a picture and I absolutely hate the blue cap they use for this tube. As you can see the cap is super tiny and screwing it back on is a pain. You really have to have a steady hand to seal it closed when twisting the cap back on. The minute that cap slips off your fingers, which I 100% guarantee it will, it's pretty much game over. There have been countless times I've lost this silly little cap where it falls in crevices making it nearly impossible to find and reach for. Their shower oil refill also has that damn twist off cap and I have that pic to prove it too! My suggestion/solution is to have a tethered ring attached to the base of the nozzle and make it standard for all of their products requiring said cap. It's a super simple fix I hope the company takes into consideration. As much as I love L'Occitane's products, they need to "zoooo bettah" when it boils down to the minor product packaging details. The little things mean a lot. Especially when I'm paying nice coin for it. Overall, the products are superb. Just work on the packaging if you want to keep your loyal customer base happy. An older lady working there tried to give the appearance of helping us but she really seemed to not want us in her store, making some sort of guesses about us when we went in. I never encountered that in the Lincoln Park location, where one might expect it, or the Block 37 location. A second person on the staff tried to be helpful but there wasn't much to choose from and the sales lead made enough of an impression so we left. If you want their products and you can make it downtown I HIGHLY recommend the Block 37 location. The Block 37 location has nice staff year after year and it always feels like they have tons in stock despite being about the same size if not smaller than the Old Orchard one. A little bit of welcoming energy goes a long way especially around holiday shopping.

She was very professional and even invited me to come back for a "makeover" or "girls night out" where my friends and I can get our make-up done. Sounds fun! I'm happy I found a local go-to person. I tend to return to the burbs to my old regime when I need something, but I recognize I need to take advantage of the services at my disposal that are right in my back yard! The people who work here are always so helpful and friendly. I'm seriously so thankful this store exists bc otherwise, I'd have such a hard time trying to get my Korean skincare necessities. They have everything you need, from cleansers, to masks, serums, spf, makeup, nail polish, literally all the heavy hitters, they sell here. Valet parking may be a better option but prices vary. This studio provides classes and today's option was a do it yourself facial. Everything was provided; three different charcoal based powders, use one or blend all. I chose matcha and charcoal. Three different liquid mixers; organic cherry juice, green tea and rice milk. Each having a different set of benefits for your skin. After mixing our choice of concoctions, we cleansed with 100% natural oils using our knuckles to stimulate lymphatic drainage and massage. Followed by a nice steam from a hot towel. Then began the application of our charcoal masks, sitting for ten to twelve minutes. Love the tightening and the tingles. This is a BYOB so as the masks are drying, we are happily sipping and enjoying each other's company. The final process was to hydrate the skin and jade roll it. Will definitely return.

Our next mission was to get in on this near flawless hand soap. Hubby could not remember the name of the brand however I managed to take a pic of it. Lo and behold, it was Le Labo. Le Labo products are high quality with a price tag to match. The last bottle we purchased was their entry level small Edition scent, sized at 237 ml. It was $37.00 online (less tax) and lasted 2 years with minimal use. This time we chose the Basil scent hand soap. We love it a ton and enjoy the fact if we ran out there is a Le Labo nearby. If seeking top-notch skin and hair care, this is the place.
