Dr. Fanaee earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, where he graduated with honors. Afterward, he completed his anesthesiology residency at the University of Chicago and his pain medicine fellowship at the prestigious NYU Langone Medical Center in New York City. I would give zero stars if I could. My experience with Anesthesia Associates of Morristown has been…read morebeyond unacceptable. I had Medicaid at the time of my surgery, which was an emergent spinal procedure in 2023. I had no ability to choose my providers, including anesthesia. Under New Jersey law, patients with Medicaid should not be billed for covered services, especially in emergency situations. Despite this, I was billed and pursued for payment anyway. To make matters worse, there is no way to contact the billing office--since 2024, they have changed billing companies, leaving patients with no clear point of contact to resolve serious issues. I sent a formal dispute letter in December to the attorney handling this matter, and it was completely ignored--no response, no resolution, nothing. Then, without warning, I went to transfer money from my bank account and discovered my balance was $0 due to a court-ordered garnishment. This was shocking and financially devastating. This is not just poor billing--this is unethical and deeply concerning behavior. Patients should not be put in this position, especially after emergency medical care and while properly insured through Medicaid. I strongly urge others to carefully review any bills from this group and take immediate action if something seems wrong. No one should have to go through this.

Unaware I had a balance from 1.5 years ago until I received a notice "YOU ARE BEING SUED." Can only get in touch with said person in Billing, have left messages for Corporate but no return and the law firm that issues the notice of civil action outsources their calls to an offshore call center. So - AAM outsources their billing, provides terrible service, who engages a local law firm to file a suit who outsources their collections offshore. What a TERRIBLE business model and service to customers. They know we don't have a choice of providers when in the hospital- failed system and deck stacked against us. AAM, check your business practices, they're deplorable. Wish I could cc your board of directors.
